It's so wild how you are running into people you know from work 😂 If you hadn't run into visa issues and so many changed plans earlier in your journey, you might have missed seeing these friends.

Just out of curiosity did you have a valid Schengen visa by the time, that gave you opportunities for online visas or visa on entry to any of the countries you've been to?
Amazing how did you manage to pull through all these?? I mean isnt it expensive?
I’m pretty sure transport in these countries are fairly cheap, and he goes for the cheapest hotels and has a budget. Still crazy though
