In this just-passed spring of the current year, I embarked on a land journey to a country that has long been on my must-visit list - Kazakhstan. I have always been intrigued, reflective, and expectant about the cultural and natural wonders of this land. The place I stayed this time was Almaty and its surrounding areas. Here, I witnessed the delicate fusion and collision of nomadic civilization, Islamic culture, and the legacy of the Soviet era. Strolling through the streets of Almaty was one of the most enjoyable aspects of this journey. From Dombra players to accordionists, I constantly stumbled upon melodies played by street musicians. The trees at this latitude, apart from their tall and lush characteristics in spring, are even more magnificent in their widespread distribution across this relatively vast and sparsely populated region. Compared to other places, the squares here are opulent, and the pedestrian streets are astonishingly numerous - perhaps a harmonious match bestowed upon this vast country by the heavens. The setting sun cuts across the vast expanse of the sky adorned with towering trees, and pleasing melodies waft through the air. Sitting on a bench along one of the countless pedestrian streets, every second feels like pure relaxation. Driving on the roads here, I gained a new understanding of road trips - the point-to-point distances, time, and physical exertion are infinitely expanded. In exchange, a more diverse range of natural landscapes and broader vistas unfold before my eyes: from deserts to grasslands, from steppes to coniferous forests, from mosques to Eastern Orthodox churches; the scenery along the way is ever-changing, while the omnipresent Tian Shan mountain range remains constant.
My parents were born in Gulag, Kazakhstan and I was born there. Now, living in the USA for the 25 years, I can barely recognize this country. However, I still love the beautiful nature there and Kazakh people

When the Kazakhstani capital was moved, it replaced Ottawa, Canada as the second coldest national capital. The coldest capital city is Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. However, the warmth of the people of Mongolia and Kazakhstan make up for the coldness of the climate.
Astana has one of the sharpest temperature drops after summer. When I spent a week in Astana in early September, it was still around 32° Celsius every afternoon and around 20 something at night. Then in October I heard it started to have slightly negative temperatures at night. This winter temperatures apparently went down below -28°C! Which is common to some extent during winter for Astana..

We aleykum salam, brother.
im amazed how beautiful this country is, from buildings, clean places, the architectures, nature .. everything, quite place not too populated and less pollution.... absolutely fantastic !!!!
Not too populated, I guess for good reason?
@@anairenemartinez165 there have been numerous disasters in kazakhstans history leading to multiple population collapses. famines, lots of nuclear testing, the destruction of the aral sea and war just to name a few. it is nevertheless a beautiful country today with a lot to offer in my opinion.
Many many thanks to your wonderful video about my country Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 and thank you very much for all your lovely comments , big hugs and loves from Kazakh people 🇰🇿🥰🥰🥰🇰🇿🇰🇿
Kazakhstan is a beautiful country and I love the landscapes. I would love to visit Kazakhstan, but during the summer.
You have to go dead of winter, but everything is paid for. Deal or no deal?
If i were a Kazakh man, i was Pleased.👏👏💚🇰🇿🇰🇿
❤🤲👏🇰🇿
And where are you from?
I have a little sister adopted from there to america. She is 27 today. Very small baby, and some personal medical, very rare. Assumed to be a result of nuclear.(She is ethnic kazahk) I am sure she would be proud of kazakhstan today if she stayed. In fact. I am going to show her to this video.

Beautiful. The geology is a star factor. The modern cities were unexpected. I now want to go to Kazakhstan!

The country is growing extremely fast, particularly in the cities. I am amazed at the beautiful buildings and layout of the cities as you showed them. Corruption is evidently causing a significant drawback to the residents, although it appears most of them find life good. I didn't realize the country was so large.
I from Kazakhstan 🥰 Welcome to Kazakhstan
Omg I like how you mentioned kokpar😭💖 I think this sport is almost forgotten
Since USSR our kazakh people forgot many things and this is quite sad, cause my people are so kind and Talanted. Kazakhstan is super underrated in my opinion so I hope that other countries will notice how awesome our KAZAKHSTAN 🇰🇿❤
Kokpar is animal abuse sport. I don’t think it’s appropriate for civilised world
What have I missed . I worked 15 years in Moscow and Sochi . The European part of Russia was my home in that time . Never been in any of the ex Asian Sovjet countrys . It was a great journey to wach this viedeo ! Thanks regards from New Zealand !

This place is amazingly breathtaking. After watching this video I started looking at flights to Kazakhstan from Melbourne and I was pleased to see that Qatar Airways does the trip from Melbourne via Doha. I’m seriously thinking of going there in June this year.
Please do and i am certain you will have a lot of fun there.

I lived 20 years in Tirana, Albania. Almaty is giving me Tirana vibes, great alive nightlife, moutanins around the city, cable cars, and each year modernizing. Kazakhstan is definetly in my bucket list. That's why i love RUclips. It shows the real faces of unexplored countries.
Welcome to Kazakhstan!

Kazakhstan is indeed a beautiful country. It's one of the country that I really like to visit someday.
