This song really demonstrates why I love Floor Jansen.. her singing can be incredibly powerful and it hits you right square in the face.. and she's able to do a bit of a growl.. and her voice can be super graceful and haunting. I love it. Thanks again for another great reaction Kristin!

Wow Floor is almost terrifying at times in this song and yet while she was humming in the middle there it was hypnotic. I swear she could of told that crowd to jump ship and they would of obeyed her immediately!!! This is by far one of the hardest songs from the group and one to play when you hear "they are not a real metal band"! I swear that woman could play all the instruments while she is singing and rocking this song and I wouldn't even bat an eye!! Hey who needs a guest vocalist when you have Floor and then Marco for a duet partner with Troy doing some backup vocals at times. Man a small venue like that must be an amazing experience and the band also seems to love it as they are really close to the fans for a change. A Valkyrie Goddess just dropped in on the cruise stage for this song, I wouldn't be surprised to see her ascending into the sky after that performance!!! Love the reaction and NW continues to surprise you, just love it!!!!

She was singing much more this way with her former band. That is where she experimented with this type of harsher vocals the most and now she can use them in Nighwish. I just wanted to say that Floor was on Tuomas´ radar long before 2012. :-)

@@bearloh4740 Well. she was their first and only choice - the only one, who they thought, had stood any chance to pull it off successfully. She had to fly from Europe to the US and learn the set list in 48 hours, which is crazy.

When Tarja was fired in 2005, Tuomas wanted Floor THEN. But because Floor was in another band, he felt it would be disrespectful to break up a band already formed. So he waited until 2012 -- and got her anyway. 😁

It's so nice to see a person, like you, enjoying Nigthwish after a not so convinced start with the band. I've seen some other youtubers that reacted the same way and now they love the band. The thing is that NW is so varied that if a song doesen't fit you, you can try with another, more heavey, more folky or a little softer, and there you might find your taste. This is very satisfactory for the fans. So continue enjoying the great music of Nightwish. Something else I want to point out: Nightwish has a movie, called IMAGINAERUM. The album with the same name, second recorded with Anette, is like the score for the movie. I recommend it to you. Every NW fan should watch it. And I can tell you that it isn't a documentary or something boring, it's some kind of Tim Burton style of movie, a journey into Tuomas mind, full of fantasy and terrors. Floor can do it all. This entire band is super talented as you know. I was thinking today how Tuomas can write soooo well in a language that isn't his native one. He puts in so much nuance while still leaving it up to interpretation.

Hello hello hello hello. I don't want to sound repetitive. But they are just awesome. This performance that they did on a cruise must have just rock this ship crazy. I believe this woman could sing a phone book and it would sound awesome. I love your show and your natural reaction is genuine. I confess the first time I heard Nightwish I wasn't too crazy about the either. And I don't even know why I even listen to them a second time. But I know now I couldn't get them out of my system. It is so crazy I listen to their 2013 full concert two or three times a day. This music is like nothing I've ever heard before and I am 55 years old. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of good bands out there. But this is nuts. I got a request here. You might want to do along which is a cover by heart. Which they did in the show. And also you've got to do Eva Marie which is an old song that was done famously by Perry Como back in the late 60s. This this song was done many times by Perry Como. I am pretty sure you don't know who he is. But maybe LOL. Enough babbling. Oh one more song you have to do High Hopes another cover by Pink Floyd. I recommend you do the version by Pink Floyd first and then do the version by Nightwish to get the full just of a just how awesome this song is. Okay that's it for now Keep On Keepin On

the rock in rio 2015 version of this had real bad mixing.. plus Marko's mic was set way too low.. the growl was even more powerful since Marko couldnt sing over it
