I watched your good reaction again...I like how u keep it real you asked where does the choreo come from. Kpop is inspired by black usa r and b and hip hop and the girl groups from USA like destiny's child etc inspired kpop.
your new subscriber here 🙌 and lemme pull out some instant facts about this group - They're indeed coming from YG Entertainment, which also a home company for the biggest girlgroup on our planet right now, none other than the honorable 4 powerful ladies from BLACKPINK - There's only 6 members in this video, because the 7th member (which is AHYEON) can't be involved during their whole debut activity due to a certain health problem, but you can always expect her to be appeared on future project - so far they only have 2 songs out, BATTER UP is their official debut track whilst DREAM is their pre-debut single - Aside from the 2 oldest members in the group (RUKA and PHARITA), the rest of other 5 members still remains underage - Not all of them a born Korean, because they're consisted of 3 Korean members (HARAM/RAMI, AHYEON and RUKA/LEE DA-IN), 2 Japanese (RUKA and ASA), 2 Thai members (CHIQUITA and PHARITA)
The Asian fans loved " Micheal Jackson" and Kpop took a lot of influences from his style of dancing , and we all know MJ did a lot of choreography himself in his videos and as you said, seeing the artist perform dancing/singing together added that extra for the fans and viewers. I think the Kpop industry saw this and started training their artists to do both and concentrated more on groups. Taking many influences from other countries music and especially Black culture in music/style , Kpop combined them together in one song with choreography and we have KPOP. unfortunately there has been a lot of controversy over Kpop groups use of hairstyles and clothing choices important to Black culture and it's history. I understand but some Black styles are so cool and stylish , which I know is no excuse but damn.
