  • Tutorial part is 15 minutes. Alot of these styles have been created to help people change thier mind set in the fight and understand concepts and mechanics better. To often then not a fighter learns a new concept or mechanic and adds it to thier tool box but it's still like fighting the same fighter, he just has a new tool but his goal and exicution is still the same. The styles help fighters be able to change thier goal and way of fighting so it's like fighting some one else. This helps switch things up as people who fight the same style all the time are predictable and easy to beat. Once you know thier strengths you can negate them and once you know thier weaknesses you can exploit them. Doing different styles or mind sets help be less predictable, and can also negate a bad match up for you normally, plus it's alot more fun. This style teaches how to use high grip, how to use thumb grip and a different style of didengages. It also teaches how to use telegraphs to your advantage to get the oppenent to react and spend the segments you want them to. Also enjoy the Death Stalker Series in all it's edgyness as it's named after the most deadly scorpion ;)

This is awesome. I discovered this style through trial and error, but I'm glad to see others have thought of the same thing! Any idea if this style is ever documented in manuscripts, or if it's a modern invention? Thanks again for the new ideas!

I haven't found any manuscript that has prima in first with thumb grip personally, especially not used like this. Thumb grip was more common in small sword but even then I couldn find any. I figure it's got to be at least in one even if they used it differently than the way in this video. I know high guard thumb grip is in long sword though.

What happens if you do this technique and then they copy you.

This style is actually countered very well by its own style. Reason is for this style you want to fient thier dagger so it works best against people whose main defense is the dagger.this styles main defense is dagger so it's suseptible to its self. Expecially cuz you don't parry much with the sword at all in this style. So 2 people using this same style who ever has better measure will win
