This interview, this channel and the vlad channel have done more for me than any other element I’ve attempted in my life. I’m ok… I’ll be ok now. Thank you. Irving made a poignant statement pertaining to watching others fail out of ranger training. He picked up on that special adaptation. I’ve always felt that those moments that we could be broken have trained us to better us in the ultimate fight that is yet before us. Through all I’ve endured most others would be in a rubber room or heavily addicted to something. And I never wanted to be so Eastwood hard that I had no joy and laughter. Yet my own countenance makes people flee from me when in fact I’d rather they speak. Ugh!

15+ years ago, i worked in a store that supplied pipe work, plumbing equipment etc. There was this one guy who used to come in who had been a British in soldier fighting in Afghanistan. He had witnessed co-workers loose their lives. What interested me was, how much get-up-and-go he had. He was up early every morning, running. His arms were pumped Action-Man style, not Arnold Schwarzenegger style. After running he would work from 7amto 7pm. He never looked knackered. He always carried a wad of cash rolled up in his pocket. The Army gave him that get-up-and-go. Now in 2024 and for a long time now, there are too many young people, directionless, on benefits, smoking weed, zero future. The UK Government should make everyone do 2 years of national service. while it might not save everyone, it would help out a lot of directionless young people.

Then walk along the battlements of this ancient fort with no weapon so we couldn't kill him as he was unarmed due to the ROE at the time. They called in two SAS Snipers as there rules of engagement are whatever they need it too be. They shot and took him out turned out he was a Chechen. The SAS went in and out within two days.

My old man still wakes up quickly from a nap, reaching for his non-existent rifle or sidearm, Sometimes both.

My cousin who was in the army said his whole deployement was guarding marijuana fields in Afghanistan. Another buddy was a marine and i took him to meet up with my recruiter when i was trying to join. He literally tried to fight the recruiter but he mentioned to him how they were over there guarding poppy fields

The reason why people in that region may not be particularly fond of dogs is that, in Islam, dogs are generally considered unclean and are mostly used for herding. They are not traditionally seen as pets.

Many countries use working dogs as a tool to perform specific tasks, for hunting, herding ect. That's not a good reason to mistreat it.

@PeterReeves-s6k in fact hunting and working dogs make the best pets. My best dogs have all been bird dogs

@@oldirty520if they’re given a job. A working dog almost always makes a horrible indoor dog. Not to mention their mental state.

@@CornPopsDoodThey do findy indoors when they get old and retire, but they need a yard at minimum for the first 7 or so years. If well trained they do fine inside as long as they are getting plenty of work and play time.

A lot of countries that are on the less lawful side have dogs as a form of security not as pet's so a dog that is not yours is seen as a potential threat. A top tip there for westerners going to less lawful countries, the dogs there don't often want to be your friend.

Probably helps him to talk about it. As snipers we all go through head games to make sense of what we do. And sometimes the gravity of what we do weighs on us later in life. I've never heard of an American sniper ever being captured. If we get caught were dead.
