"Hearth Attack, kidney failure, stroke, and Diabetes don't care about your pronouns or your feelings." -A nurse relative of mine once said about all this "body positivity" bs.
Gamers are the most attacked group in the history of entertainment options. When T.V. first came out, people said "it rots your brain". But no one got attacked for watching it. When Rock and Roll music came out, some people said it was "the devil's music". But the music didn't get forcibly changed because people listened to it. When video games came out... We where called "nerds". When we accepted that. We where called "incels". When that didn't work. We are now called 99,000 other names.
@@philberto78, Not only that. Hell, I once got followed home by some rando who proceeded to call me a "Lowlife scumbag" because I "played video games all day". I mean if I'm a "lowlife scumbag" because my choice of entertainment; What does that make the dude that followed me home, displayed that he was digging up information on me, and all around was acting like a stalker; What's that make him? Yeah, gamers are attacked from every angle; But you never see that kind of behavior against any other type of person for their entertainment choice.
Thee company's are getting woke to either improve or maintain there ESG score. Without a high score banks wont give them a line of credit. Its basically like China's social credit score.
If I recall correctly, there's a Lego study on how boys and girls like to play. Boys tend to play up as the main/hero character while girls like to self-insert themselves into the play setting/world.
Great breakdown! If Dove actually cared about people, they'd be encouraging weight loss and fitness because you love yourself and should therefore take care of yourself. Instead they people to be overweight and feel happy to stay overweight which is, in fact, cruelty. Unfortunately, there is probably good reason for why they associate obesity with gamers, as an overweight guy myself, but that's not something to celebrate, it's something that we should work to curve and lessen.
Very well said, I've got a beer gut myself and the last thing I need is for my soap makers to tell me to feel good about it haha! This kind of advertising is really only aimed at women though so that tells you something...
All player characters and most NPC's in Halo games are fit and in good physical health. Why? Because it makes the most sense in the setting. The military and the front lines of a war are not places for people who would collapse into a wheezing blob on the ground after taking 2-3 steps. There's a reason the only larger characters are civilian NPC's and the closest you get to a larger "main character" is Roland, who at least has the excuse that he doesn't have to worry about health issues since his body is just a holographic projection based on a real person (specifically Roland Beamont).

Seems like your relative actually cares about people's health!

I think you're right, I've been hearing more about ESG lately. Just incredible how our country has gotten to this point...

Interesting, maybe that tells us something about all this.

I'm an obese male and yet i don't complain that most of men in gaming aren't like me. So why should women have it any different?
I think you already know the answer to that Zero haha
What if Samus was really a fat pig under that metal suit?
Haha I can just imagine....the horror!
