I may be 14 years late, but I feel this. I used to write as a hobby, but I haven't for months now. I've been depressed and lost all sense of motivation. I don't know if I'll ever write again or if I'm even good at it anymore. I feel empty
When Jeff wrote this, the rest of UT were sort of surprised, as it was different than anything else he had written up to that point. Wasn't sure how it sounded when he played it solo; goes to show, good songs stand up!
@jestoon425 I dont have the tab but its a d chord to a d (but with index on the second fret, second string) then d (with index on the second fret, third string) to a g (pick the top two strings again after playing it) then the chorus is just chords but taking your hand off the guitar every strum sort of palm muting. the chorus is a-d-g, a-b minor-g, a-d-g. then after the g its index and middle finger on the second fret, top two strings. for the fast part play g-e-a and thats the whole song.
Brings back alot of memories. Use to listen to this one over and over.
Funny how well this song translates to this format. What a phenomenal song.
Easily one of the best (if not THE best) songs Jeff Tweedy has ever written!

The greatest songwriter of the modern era.
