The downward cant to the blades is what I really enjoy about the 47 pattern Case stockman. Great feature.

Great to see some more Ropers! Bummer about the blade rap. You may want to see if you can get it replaced, or not if you just want to fix it. My experience with Roper has been stellar.

I just don’t see it worthwhile replacing it. I’m going to just sharpen the blade out and get that Nick out of there. It’s easy enough. It’s a great knife!

Just pulled out my roper stockman i think it was called a sand viper, the scales look awful discolored yellow, but over all very solid knife and i sharpened it with Naniwa pro's every blade is screaming sharp... haven't carried it once, but I'll take it to work tomorrow, it's sad that i can get a 18$ chinese made stockman thats functionally better than 60$ American made stockman.. well it'll make a good work knife since i won't be too bummed if i happen to loose it..

I checked my 17 Roper knives and some have the stop pin and some don’t. I have none that cause blade rap. Yours must have a defect. I agree with RJ that Roper knives are the best sub 30 dollar traditional knife.

I highly recommend the Rattler Muskrat. I have the matching Stockman on the way.

You might be able to file the pin down so it doesn't hit the blades edge. I would recommend using a thin file made for filing points in older has engines. That should fit in that space.

They did that so they could put the scales on after assembling the knife.

None of my Roper Knives have those stop pins, that is indeed strange.
