Belém, State of Pará, Brazil - During our trip to Brazil, one of my favorite cities that we visited was Belém, an amazing city in the State of Pará, in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. The food and lifestyle in Belém is fantastic.
We traveled along with Guilherme and Rafa from Rio4Fun (), so we were 5 adults total, and so it made sense to rent an apartment for our 5 day stay. It was well worth it, in a good location, very spacious, and with a full kitchen so we could cook and make coffee.
For this 3 bedroom house in Brazil, we paid $67.60 per night (5 adults). This is a great deal, especially considering that Brazil is really not a cheap country to travel in.
Açaí Puro Pará - After the full house tour of living in Brazil, we walked over to Açaí Puro Pará to eat some açaí, a daily staple in Pará. Açaí - 18 BRL ($2.09) per liter (but they said during açaí season, prices are much lower).
Thank you for watching, and many more travel guides, tips, and reviews coming!

The net on the windows is for children, but I guess it works for birds as well
Thanks Elton, I hadn't even thought of that, much better use of the net!
It's for cats and dogs too, to them don't fall out by the balcony/window.
It’s for drunk adults as well😂
@@wellwisher9817 😁😁😁😁
As well for zombie.
Hi 'Mark! We use those nets for child safety! Never heard about birds fly into the apartment. But who knows right? Amazing video!
Ahh, thank you Cesar, better use for the nets!
Mikah( hoped I spelled it right?) is the luckiest child in the world. I don't think that many get to travel like him. I know for sure that he has traveled more than me 🤫. He's going to have an interesting life growing up and viewing these videos in the future 😊. These video is also like a biography for him. It will probably help him reflect on how his childhood was like 💪. Sometimes I wished that I was born in a technological age where it's easy to record memories (actually I wish my parents were more technologically advanced 😥).
I love Brazil (from Japan)
Can't start a day and can't sleep without watching your videos.. Mr Mark, you start and end my day.. you took me everywhere with you. Your family is just so beautiful.. love from India
I want to visit Brazil. Love from Thailand.
The nets are for safety, so no one falls off the balconies or windows
I love these videos, they’re really interesting to be able to see a bit more of the behind the scenes. Loved the Brazil series mark
Thank you very much Angie!
I want to visit Brazil 🇧🇷 ( from Malaysia 🇲🇾) ❤️❤️❤️

Haha, awesome!
Hi Mark, Belém is not a city in Portugal, but a parte of Lisbon and the place where you had the original egg tarts in the place where they where invented ( Pastéis de Belém) . Cheers.
Thank you for clarifying Vasco. I still remember those amazing Pasteis!
I think he said hé is in Brazilië.

Mark, the nets are for keeping children and pets safe. It is to prevent accidents so they won’t fall into the ground. Thank you for your positivity. I live in the US. Belém is my hometown.

About 75% of all the stuff we travel with now is for Micah! Ok will try to, mostly my wife handles that, but I will try to film something.

Those nets in the balconies and windows are more to keep children in than birds out
Hi, Mark! I loved the video, I'm from Belém and I'm his fan. I love to taste different foods. I have lived in Malaysia, Japan and the United States. I know Thailand too. God bless your beautiful family!
hi christina ..im nora from malaysia...if you dont mind..to share with me an experience staying here..thank you
05:24 I expected him to come into balcony.. The window entry was sneaky 😁😁
“Lets do a quick bed test”
*sits on bed*
*bed cracks in half*
“ oh dont jump on the bed”
The nets on the balcony is mostly and more importantly to avoid someone to climb into the apartment. Sometimes people throw themselves from balconies like that although not very common.
Actually it's more for children and birds than for people who throw themselves from the balcony. But I guess it works too.
Awesome home, specially affordable, and that asai looks like so tasty
just one dream in life visit brazil and explore amazon rainforest
Mark você precisa provar o famoso Guaraná.
I really love this video. You are the first food vlogger I subscribed. U made me always hungry
Thank you very much Rabskie!
I love açaí. Thanks for the travel tip. I’m looking forward to visiting Belen one day. Loved the apartment tour. Thanks
So glad to see this awesome guy in my hometown. I'm very proud to be born in this amazing city. My people is extremely friendly and I appreciate the fact Mark is willing to share this experience with the world. I wish I could meet him in person. He should definitely come to Canada, my second home now. Even though there's not as many options of local food as in Belem, but you're totally gonna feel the kindness and warmth of the Canadians.
Hi from south africa
Mark you are my favorite! God Bless your beautiful family🙏💜 Love your videos
Mark don't forget to mention the Natural Light! lol
oh i love that apartment mark.....so spacious and the lighting is good my kinda house.
"Minimal stuff but has everything you need"
I know that building Mark! Its “Edifício Paulina”. It is a dangerous but nice area in Belém. Let me know next time u come down so I can show u guys some nice Burger Joints around the hood and also some regional fast food. Peace!
Omg fresh air and a hammock that is so awesome
So cool to know youre hereeeeee!!!
Hello, Mark
I'm brazillian and I live in São Paulo and actually it's true that there are a lot of crimes in Brazil, it is a sad fact. but Great Video! Keep it up! big hug!!!
What is the safest area in Brazil? What’s the average home price for a 4 bedroom?
That's really awesome man. Thank you for sharing.
For most Brazilians, Belém is considered the Wild West...
I'm pretty sure you could get a 4* apartment in Copacabana for that price. I hate rain so I would be heading for Zona Sud I'm afraid
Mark has the best videos never boreds you .. hello from usa 🇺🇸
Thank you very much Santiago!
Thankgod u share travel vlog thank u mark love to watch ur house tour videos n food travel..
My dad was from BRASIL and still have alot of family there.
Esta ciudad es muy encantadora y de facil acceso, espero poder regresar cuando todo esto pase. Ver y compartir lugares como estos es por lo que me gusta viajar y hacer videos!
LOL.. Micah nearly spoiled your shot. So cute!
I´m from brazil but... NO HOT WATER... like WATTTTT? I think i´ve never been to a place where there is no hot water. I would die if this was where I live. It´s so cold righ now, I wouldn´t take baths for weeks haha.
Learn to shower in cold water. Iz very good for health and has a lot of benefits.
> Myself, just loving on both of your Channels. Keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you Amos!
My hubby is from Victoria Brazil 🇧🇷 estpisto santo the city
I’m from Vitória, Espírito Santo is the state, come and have the best moqueca in Brazil. You’ll have a gr8 time here. 😎
You are in my hometown 💓🔥 💓😍. Thank you Mark!!!
Nice apartment, the windows with no screens and the old elevator would freak me out a bit though especially with a small child... that’s likely what the netting is for, safety not birds... but it’s not on all the windows so if you have small children or pets... yeah kinda would freak me out
To be honest Brazil looks beautiful but I fear security issues I hear from everyone whose been there and hearing also from Mark Weins I even dread it more
I think this is the first city/country that he's visited in which he's warned us about the high crime rate - like, ever. You know it's really bad when your apartment building has coiled razor wire on top of the walls. Yikes!
Im actually watching this video laying in a hammock in my living room, hahaha.
Those nets are for birds and for kids, because there were some accidents where kids thought they were superman and jumped here in Brazil (at least a decade ago) and kids here are hyperactive too, so people who have kids always put those nets in their appartments to avoid accidents.
As you said the people are so nice
Mark I just love to view all your videos you are truly number ONE......Have you ever been to Canada thats where I am from Montreal Quebec
I have to admit ..I really enjoyed this vlog Mark...we don't have fresh acai here in Houston but I'm going to go to Costco to pick some up and try them out tomorrow ..thank you for the tour Mark 👍
The net is a security net to keep pets and children inside. It's very common across Brazil.
You’re one of the best blogger ever!!!
Hello Mark. Belém is not in fact a city, it´s a part of lisbon. You need to come back and refresh on Portugal. I already commented before that you need to come back and see the north of Portugal. Good work.
Thank you Paulo for clarifying.
Hey Mark, im a super fan of your adventures and i still don't belive that you were here in Belém and i losed the opportunity to shake your hand and take a picture with you 😭
Great video as always, handsome guy in Acai shop.💗👍
Mark, please come to Croatia one day with your family and friends.😊🙋😍
Much love from Split,Croatia 👌👌😊🙋💞
wow!!! The Acai berry kitchen is neat and squeaky clean. Didn't expect that in a developing country like Brasil
Not all developing countries are the same. In fact you can find videos with comparisons between Brazil and other cultures in which foreigners are surprised at how clean brazilians are.
Many brazilians brush their teeth after lunch, even if they're at work. Most of us also don't like to touch food with our hands, so we eat pizza with knife and fork and hold our sandwiches/burguers with napkins. Some brazilians even carry a small bottle of alcohol gel to desinfect their hands from time to time.
An example: ruclips.net/video/FxniBqU8lgA/видео.html
What a bad choice to take vacation in a place where condos are protected like prisons, and the lodging is 4 times higher than they should be. Crap.
Show de vídeo amigo marik Parabéns gostei muito do seu vidio aqui no meu Brasil dios te bendigas tmj Brasil
Hi Mark,
I simply fall in love more, the way you express everything
You’re are amazing as always
Enjoy your days there with your family
Love his Smile after he drinks the Acai..purple teeth 😀😀😀
Haha yes
My wife is From Belem. I met her in Canada ( I'm Canadian ). We travel their every year to stay with her family.
Wow how long is the flight
The net is for child safety
HAHAHAHAH 14:40 - the proud owner of ACAI SMILE hahahahahahahaha toooooo much for me right now

Hii Mark. I always enjoy your videos👍When will you make a visite to Suriname? This vlog you were in Belem. Thats not far from Suriname.just 2 hours or even earlier. Come and meet the different population groups and their delicious dishes that you will not regret👌 Just let me know when you come and i will guide you👍🤗 @Mark Abroad
Nice. Good to know there good security there.
I love how humble he is. He’s never bragging and showing off a mansion
You can get homes inexpensive. My relatives all have mansions in Brazil.
I do not understand why I torture myself like this?!?! I literally cannot stand listening to this guy talk, with the way he so over-emphasizes T’s and G’s & K’s. But, he goes to the most amazing places and eats the most amazing foods. I can’t stop watching.
the apt is so simple!! so nice And simple, do not place avocados inside a fridge, for it does not keep well.
Thanks for the info on the acai! My sister in-law just got gifted some puree, and we don't know much about it, or how to serve it.
no hot water in the apt? seriously? so ya'll have to wash clothes, take showers in cold water? wash dishes in cold water? .....EWWW and ohh god hell no to cold showers seriously
The "cold" source is really just at "the average yearly temperature". So if you live in a hot country, the "cold" source isn't really that cold.
The net is to keep the child in not the birds out 😂
You can't even see the Amazon Rainforest surrounding it anymore 😢
I love my country ♥️ I've been to Belém once and I get why it's one of his favorite cities. Belém is incredible! Amazing food, great culture and people are so friendly that makes you want to live there. It's no need to talk about nature, it speaks for itself. I miss Belém!
Moss is easily cleaned and removed with tiny amount of chlorine solution in water. It's called LAZYNESS
And I should add that most apartment buildings in brazil (which are perceived as a "luxury" or whatever crap reasoning they have behind it...) charge outrageously expensive rates for "maintenance". So basically that guy there is being paid to NOT do his job of simply cleaning the driveway once every 14 days, that would be enough. For you to have an idea, said "maintenance" fees can cost up to 50% of rent, there's no regulation about these fees and there's no way to really verify what's made with all the money.
About the moss thing, before anyone comes here upset at me, I was raised on the countryside and lived on farms in more than one occasion. Not even there we would have such concentrated ammount of mold growing. Disgusting and unnaceptable.
You and tour family are welcome here every time. Mark. Next time come to São Paulo. God Bless you.
I live in Belem , I love my city is also known as "manhattan" of amazon and metropolis of the north
