Thank you! I got these paint brushes at a local Homesense (in Canada), I believe the brand is Monte Marte. For painting with ink, I would generally recommend experimenting with different sizes of paintbrushes that aren’t too pricey…
Girl! This is the hobby I've always been looking for. I am a long time FP user and I've recently started dabbling in watercolor. I love both and this sounds like the perfect outlet for my creative urges. Any tips/resources for a newbie? 😊
Yesss it’s so much fun! I highly recommend playing with fountain pen inks this way. If you’re on IG, I would suggest checking out TheSnowyStudio - I got inspiration from Klarissa’s ink splatter videos…some basic tips on tools: transfer ink from the bottle to small vials just in case the ink gets diluted. Dedicate a specific set of paintbrushes to ink painting and experiment with paper to test bleedthrough. And have fun!
Same Here! Fountain pens first, watercolour added recently. I want to use my mountains of fountain pen ink more and really enjoyed making swatches of them. 😄 I want an excuse to see the colours on the page in different ways, not only writing. ✨
@@justatinyhalfling Same situation! Have at least 150 bottles of ink and that many ink samples. Want a small space to work, this idea is perfect! Thanks for sharing. Do you find any need to use permanent ink? Thanks.
Loved watching this in real time, Carola! I'm getting inspired to have a journal just for this (like I need another notebook...).
Aw yay, I’m glad you enjoyed it, Karyna! A separate journal/notebook is a great idea - I think it helps to see progress over time.
This is so beautiful and the non-realistic style is my favourite. 💚
Aw thank you! I feel like non-realistic is the most freeing style for me too 🙌🏽💕
That's beautiful! I love painting with fountain pen inks as well, but I'm no where as talented as you.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for your comment! As long as you enjoy the practice, that’s what’s most important 🙌🏽
Hello… lovely rendition of flowers in ink. Where can I buy these brushes?
