All I really know about this particular politician was that he along with another politician threw a huge hissy-fit over the very first Mortal Kombat game and demanded that the gaming industry implement some kind of a rating system for video games just like the film industry does for movies and that all led to the creation of the ESRB. Also this guy later in his political career would regularly jump from one political party to another whenever he felt he wasn't getting his way.

Alyssa Farah Griffin got it right in terms of his legacy. If there were one fact that really defined his legacy, it was that both Al Gore and John McCain wanted him to be his VP. Obviously, McCain ultimately went a different direction with his pick, but in the context of Joe Lieberman's legacy, the point is, when someone is seen as that great an asset to either party, he is the kind of politician we should be striving to find now more than ever.
