Complaining about the sustained hits in shooting in his bananas to me. This is exactly what a melee oriented detachment needs. Is a great way to clear screens to let these melee threats get to the Target they want. And it also doesn't require a large points investment. Intersessors use this beautifully. Y'all are looking for combos not utility
Right? I was kinda saying the same thing about the SoB detachment, but everyone called me stupid...I'm a Templars main, and I recognized that putting that 30pt enhancement on a Hospitiliar that's leading a full stack of Sacrisaints would be absolutely disgusting to go against in melee
I'm not immediately saying no, so that's a good sign. The BA problem is that we got everything we wanted in LAG already, and I think they're afraid to give us even more.
Does everything need to be better than the best for you? I recall people complaining about creep in the last edition. Now people complaining creep isn't a thing
@@CatroiOz It's just that LAG is very easy to use and flashy. People get salty when you take away their training wheels/crutches, especially when they are shiny ones.
@eduardoboada2871 they aren't training wheels or crutches. They're life support. Blood angels would be complete trash without LAG. The codex did nothing to improve the army
Nah... Divergent Chapters should get their unique Army Rule, specially Blood Angels. They should get +1S +2S as their Army rule and that would make most their detachments relevant.
Fall back shoot and charge is still very relevant even if you have pistols for giving your units fight first again so they can’t be hit back first and better target selections. It’s very good on the whole army
It was so close I think to competing with LAG, if it had advance and charge instead of that make a unit a character unit strat (or that strat allowed you to make vehicles characters, so re-rolls of 1 and fall back and shoot with vehicles), and then sustained was shooting phase or combat phase it would be there. I think this has a very narrow group of units that are really good in it, san guard, sanguinor, dante, mephiston, sternguard, inceptors, maybe hellblasters. LAG though just buffs all units, your small MSU units like JAIs, scouts, reivers, outriders become genuine threats with +2s and +1A, so they are more than just scoring. Plus your shooting units have access to advance and shoot or fall back and shoot strats, so it gives more flexibility to your vindicators or lancers which this detachment doesn't. This seems to push a BAs army to more a have one or two big melee bricks and then bring lots of infantry shooting like inceptors, sternguard, hellblasters with characters.
When you say blood angels don’t have the ability to reroll wound rolls I think you forgot about assault intercessors? I know not a BA unit but still a staple, and it’s full wound re rolls on objectives
The fact that this detachment isn't good enough for allot of BA players while the same guys telling DA players our detachment rule of +2 to charge sometimes is amazing.

Isnt fall back and shoot irrelevant if you have pistol keyword anyway? Especially as you dont have the 1 to attacks and 2 strengh on the charge.
You cannot shoot and fall back regardless of what weapon you have.
You can only fall back island shoot if you have a rule that says you can.

The main benefit is being able to get the fights first charge bonus again. As otherwise your opponent will be able to fight before your models.

Blazing icon is infantry only. So almost correct in saying anyone. Chaplain on Bike can't take it and I think he's the only one😅
