It's very interesting to see how 7 and NBC both in the early days of having color for their programs promoted it quite a bit as NBC used the peacock to promote color on their logo while 7 used it for promoting their name for the color spectrum that includes Indigo. It's also quite unique in a sense that NBC allowed 7 to use their slogans and jingles back in 1980's and 1990's.
Think it was a bit more common when the world was "bigger" (TV brands seem to keep themselves to themselves now it's easier to see them internationally). Sky in the UK used some of the same graphics/slogans too. Radio stations around the world still use the same jingles as other markets.

First off, the little tune in your intro was used in the 80's by the Global Television Network here in Canada. I wonder where you got it. Also, I must say that I was also shocked that this Australian network used some of the same slogans as NBC in the U.S. "Be there" and "Let's all be there" seemed to last a while.
I do find Channel 7 to be the second-best Australian TV channel besides ABC and the variety of its logo does look good and the program choices are enjoyable to watch and look at
Gawd, Seven got more shameless with selling their idents than nine did. Werent even trying with the nespresso one. I do love how they stole "The one" from nine. Big mistake on them for abandoning that imagery, even if they weren't "The one" like it used to mean.

Music used for 1969 to 1975 indents is from the overture of a hit musical (Promises, Promises, Promises) Secondly people who don't do their homework properly tend to mock the Australian TV channels using or copying the U.S major networks promo materials or their station identifications. In fact these were customise accordingly because these were not done by in-house graphic designers. But outsourced from different graphic designing companies. Which was indeed a clever move from the Aussie to save time and money! A fan and an admirer from Pakistan. 🙂

the second logo (1975) reminds me of the demo reels made by dolphin productions from 1974, and the surreal music sounds like some logos made by computer animation industries.
