After being part of a "war" back in 2014 and seeing my friends who came home alive but dead inside, this song for the first time made them to talk about it after listening to this couple times.
May the friends who never made it home rest in peace.
One song that is about the war and is very very emotional is "Danger Line" by Avenged Sevenfold. If you want to hear a very amazing solo you can react to "Fermi Paradox" by Avenged Sevenfold (in my opinion in this song is their best solo, the most emocional). Good reaction!!
Fermi Paradox is from their last album. In this, Avenged Sevenfold sounds very different and have a lot of incredible songs.

This is my favorite song of all time and I know you have great reactions, so I liked this video before even watching it, admittedly. This song is a perfect example of every aspect of Avenged Sevenfold. The structure of the song is odd, it gives you a false sense of security at the beginning, the lyrics catch you off guard, the vocals are dynamic, and everything that can be done on guitar is. Synyster Gates was able to showcase three very different styles of playing: his shred, his melodic expression, and his vulnerable jazz oriented freestyle. The first solo is Synyster Gates's hardest he has ever written, according to him. The bass and drum gallops heighten the energy and give the song a dimension that is only present on this song. The rhythms blend the sound of thrash metal, glam metal, and power metal perfectly. M. Shadows' voice fills the song with confidence, with sorrow, with terror, with remorse, and with fear. By the end, you can hear the sound of a man reaching the end of his life emotionally. Not growing old, but being a young man and being drained of his innocence and his spirit by the horrors of war. He captures the feelings of regret and uncertainty that many people in the armed forces go through. They go through life as civilians after they leave the military, and a lot have trouble adapting both to regular life and to the criticisms that people have of them for serving their country. They view themselves as murderers and people view them as murderers when at one point they believed they were doing the right thing. This song is timeless and unequaled. I've never heard another song about the troops that has this level of depth. I always cry as the first chorus hits.
Instrumentally, there's so many layers. You have a great clarinet part near the end when the intro riff plays again. You have some hidden guitar tracks that add to the impact of the riffs. The backing vocals are perfectly laid out. When the choir part comes in, the souls of the dead on all sides; the opposition, his brothers, all the innocent casualties, are joined in unity to mourn one another.
This song is transcendent in a way. A lot of people view newer rock music as shallow and unimportant and simple and meaningless, but this song holds up just as well as any great classic metal song, and the emotional weight of it is definitely vital. If I wanted to impress someone with this band, this is the song I would have them listen to unless I knew that their taste was more suited to a slow ballad or a strange song or something extremely heavy. It's masterful in a way that few songs even in A7X's discography are. I'm really glad you've enjoyed it.

I dont know if this song has been requested before but "Coming Home" from avenged sevenfold is a underrated masperpiece, easily one of their best (and probably their longest) guitar solo and lyrics. Saludos desde Chile

I’m a Avenged Sevenfolds biggest fan. Their live in the LBC concert was amazing you can watch it on RUclips. My favorite song is a little piece of heaven or all of them
I pray no one ever has to know what war is like
I always looked at MIA as the turning point going from an innocent youth to a soldier, being forced to leave certain things behind. And on the other more obvious side, the song is from the perspective of a young man having been exposed to war. Upon returning home, the "soldier" begins to shamefully accept what he was ordered to do. I see the ending as a cycle, where the "soldier" is now a stranger to his own country, to his home and to himself, now he's walking the same path that the enemy does. Looking for some meaning in all of the chaos. It's a little drawn out, I know. Gunslinger gets me every time i hear it.

The Five Finger Death Punch song you keep thinking of is "Wrong Side of Heaven"
Avenged has always been Really big about supporting the troops-not the war, but the People themselves who go to war. It's earned them some shit over the years, but there's mad respect for that too. There's a real tug of war between the cheerful/aggressive confidence of the sound of MIA combined with the gutwrenching lyrics.
Side note: their guitarist has admitted that this solo is possibly the hardest thing he's ever written, and afterwards was like "....fuck, I have to do this live, oh fuck" lol

Hey - I just got a crazy idea - or maybe not so crazy after all ... LOL .. How about an Avenged Sevenfold-livestream? Where you watch and react to the more 'all around' Avenged Sevenfold-videos, that is not really music videos? Funny Jimmy-stories, clips, 'behind the scene-stuff, short interviews etc, that we provide / ask for? There are so much amazing stuff around and it would make a great couple of hours - and you will get to know the boys of the band better :D As you already know, we are sooo many Sevenfold-fans here already, and I'm sure that a livestream with that focus would be really fun and make a lot of fans join in :D Oh well - just an idea .. Pia Lihme Petersen I did a similar. Well it was just a livestream but I we watched lots of videos from avenged sevenfold that was like behind the scenes , we also watched the Rev record a drumming session and more stuff . But the live stream was blocked by utube because of copyright issues so I deleted it . I could not make it public because of the copyright stuff .
