You should try some of Shane skeltons peacock wax , works really good to put a film on tools and wood for protection .

Great ideas- I may try some Autosol. I normally use mineral oil to keep rust from reoccurring but sometimes I will use some wax as well.

No kidding I did not know that mineral oil helps prevent rust. I might have to try it
