Ralph Sison Someone took a shit on one of them and every time the train stopped, people on that one moved to another one. The trains are pretty disgusting in New York:/
NOONE wants to be in the subway another 10 min unnecessarily.. absolutely no-one.. unless you make your living down there.. and sometimes its not guaranteed another will come in 10 min or less, or that you will even fit in the next train during certain times... so yea after a long days work and an hour or so on the train already, not to mention going through the same thing for years, it is a big deal..
No, the engineers are. But it all seriousness, there is a reason for this happening. Most New Yorkers use the subway as a lot of people don't have cars, and rely on public transportation, such as subways. So subways are often crowded, and the engineers are on a tight schedule.
thats not how those doors worked if it was like that nobody would even bother trying to open the doors back open when close they just open up and are pretty easy to push back if stuck
Today I went to catch a metro link train and the doors only where open for ten seconds and I missed it!😡 I never heard of a train station in my life that doesn't remind the waiting passengers when to bored the train and only have the doors open for only seconds.
Haven't heard of a train station that doesn't remind the passengers... what? Welcome to the real world where not everything is spelled out in binary. You get on the train, how hard is that to understand? Eyy lmao
Signs your gonna have a good day.... #1 You find a MetroCard #2 They hold the door for you #3 You don't encounter a "Homeless Man" #4 Someone on the train said your cute #5 THE TRAIN IS EMPTY!!!!
Signs your gonna have a bad day... #1 You lose your metrocard #2 no one holds the door for you #3 A homeless man goes on your train asking for money #4 Someone on the train tells you to fuck off and look at something else #5 The train is crowded
i think im the 3 rd. I dont run for shit cuz i know therell be another one 5 mintues later (at least during rush hours here in boston). and if the trian looks too pack i just wait anyways. have you ever been in a packed train in the summer when thats carts AC isnt working? lol im sure you have if you take the train daily.
If you were to take the train you could run to it you have super speed and besides don't you live like around the corner from the daily planet so you can walk to work.
Luca Milosavlevic I don't put my arm or foot in (unless I'm in an extreme rush) because 1. I hate when other people do that because it delays the train and 2. I'm slightly paranoid that it will malfunction and the train will start moving and I'll be stuck in the door and die lol
Kayla Williams, it doesn’t delay the train... what all of like 2 seconds? “wElL WhAt iF eVeRyBoDy HeLd tHe TrAiN uP fOr 2 sEcOnDs???” Most people are standing there waiting on the platform when the train pulls up, if somebody holds the train up for 2 seconds it’s usually only like one or two people
John Not two seconds, but 30 seconds. Even then, it adds up. On the Lexington Avenue and Queens Blvd Lines, a delay for even one second can delay this train, and the next train, and the other train behind it, an no ones ever gonna be on time.
2:10 the couple right after this point. He thinks they are really hitting it off - and she has been looking for a way to get out of this date for the last hour.
I'm a train enthusiast. I just ride the subway for fun. Even though I have nowhere to go, and even though I'm not in a rush, when I miss a train I still feel heartbroken. One time I was at Lenox Terminal and I was going through all the train cars to close all the windows cuz it's an air-conditioned train, and the air conditioning was on. So then I went back out to go to another car, but the door closed on me. And the train left without me 😐 keep in mind I wasn't an MTA employee I don't know why I decided to do that
Same in Berlin. I once tried to jump through the closing door and it nearly squashed me, because they have no sensors or something lol this. Three people had to help me. Never did it again.
Yes the very old ones have no sensors, but I’d say 80% have them. They are replacing the old ones only when they break, because why waste a perfectly good train?

not always. its not an automatic door (at least i dont think). im my city it doesnt work for them, not sure about new york. a conductor controls the doors
eric mation Oh haha I didn't know that. You mean sometimes it's the conductor closing the doors on the people that are already like halfway in? (I've never been on a subway.......small town)
eyesofashes IN boston? yes. IDK about NY (these trains) but they dont seem to swing open right away when someone trys to catch it. like in department stores the doors will snap right back open before you even get to the door. like i said on another post though. i never seen a small line of people and have the door shut on the last one when it isnt even crowded. @ 0:23 and 0:27 about. As a Torontonian I've been here *SO MANY TIMES* and I share these people's pain. Especially the lady that rolled her eyes and the guy who looked up at the sky in despair as to say "Why subway gods?! Why must you punish me?!" I zig zag around people to make it downstairs. As soon as I get out of the bus, I run because I know the next one will take forever to get here or it'll be full. Especially during winter when things get frozen or watery from the ice. It constantly stops well technicians work to fix the railway and you're stuck there in a creepy dark tunnel, waiting for the train to move again.
THIS IS THE TTC! OMFG. Honestly at around rush hour you would be LUCKY to get off at your stop without actually hurting anyone. Its packed like sardines and yet we keep having fare increases.
Pretty sure they have sensors now that won’t let the train move until all the doors are completely shut. Just stick your foot/arm in there and give it some mild pressure and it’ll open right back up
Yeah but I hear that New York's got subways and buses that run every 5 minutes unlike my city where you wait up to two hours for each bus. So I almost feel like saying to New Yorkers. Quit your whining!! Jk😁😂
Yeah but you're better off than I am. You got every 5 or 10 minutes wait for each bus right? I have to wait an hour or more. I'd rather trade doors being slammed in my face and wait 5 minutes than have to sit for an hour. (And on weekends 2 hours) Just saying is all..
Esmeralda Gems it's not always 5 minutes. And mist times that 5 minute wait may turn into adding 15 minutes or more to your ride due to "delays". We here know how things go. Shaving 5 minutes off travel time is worth sticking your foot in the door. Trust me.
Ten years ago my city bus line used to be so bad they wouldn't stay on schedule. So everyday, All day they'd make you wait up to 2 hours (for what supposed to be 20 minutes) It was so bad that hundreds of people complained they were late for work and doctor appoints. I'm telling you guys, you really don't know how good you got it lol. And we have nearly a million people in my city.
Thailand would get you into train by oeoning again but not working,f**k you Thailand a lot of Thai people use buttons but it didn't work, what a wimp country.
Here's you situation is you miss the train by each train 1-your good, wait ain't that long 2-you'll be fine, usually it's the 3 with it 3-same as 2 since they are with each other most of the time 4-ouch, might be a bit unless the 5 is there too 5- your good, other trains happen to back it up 6-it's average 7-your good, 7 is always decent A-possibly fucked B-Also fucked C-As Knux says "TOO STRONG", C waits are pretty short D-A little wait,D is usually held up E-some places are good, but most places like queens could be bad F-Depends on the crowding situation G-not too long, just don't forget its a shorter train J-your fine despite some shitty trains L-your good, CBTC control delivers M-unfamiliar with upper queens, never really any problems N-average wait Q-average wait R-yeah your fucked Z-yeah a little bit of a wait
The worst is when trying to make a connecting train across the platform and the assholes close the doors before you get off and it leave, like mother for you couldn’t wait 30 seconds
During rush hour, I've learned to invade the fuck out of people's personal space to push into the train(I'll spoon you) I'm also petite so I just look for a big guy, stand behind him and have him Hulk our way through the crowd! Works 98% of the time.
There's nothing hearbreaking about these people because hardly any of them wanted to catch the train in the first place. Show me a video of people running, hurdling over baby strollers, then lunging with the full weight of their arms and upper body like an olympic sprinter at the closing doors, and you will see true heartbreak.
Wtf. Uh no, so then they fall, miss the train anyway, and then probably get in a fight with other people waiting there? And look like an absolute fool? No.
̔̏̊ ̔̏̊ the pain feels like so and yes I don't live in New York I live in Russia Moscow and I use metro's everywhere I go I don't even use buses so I know what I am talking about.
so many struggle just to get to the platform after a plethora of stairs, but running for that G train? OMG! The train doesn't occupy the whole platform. So when you reach the platform, you have to run nearly half the station's length to catch the G before the doors close. Horrible. It's also the only train line on its route so you have no choice but to wait for the next one.
The ones that gave up while still having a foot on the inside are weak. If I had the extension of my toe nail blocking the door from closing I won't stop until I'm in.
You get very intimate with people arm pits during rush hour. If I’m wearing a hat it will 95% get punched off my someone rushing to grab onto the pole next to me before they fall
This always happens to me on the G Line. The freakin line of cars is so short relative to the station so I had to run across the platform to even reach the train. I don't miss that garbage line at all during school years. This is evident in 1:46
I've discovered that if I hear a southbound G train pulling into the Greenpoint Ave stop as I'm walking past C-Town, if I run like a maniac, get a perfect swipe, and then do the hundred yard dash down the platform, 9 out of ten times I'll get on the train. But it has to be during the morning commute when it takes a minute for everyone to board. And then you get to breathe heavily and pretend you're fine while everyone stares at you and the sweat begins to dampen your shirt. Not a great way to start a day, but better than waiting for the next train.
As a New Yorker myself I have to say this is the single most beautiful thing i have ever seen in my entire life... so much pain and dissapointment in one video.
There's a very obvious difference between being smart, and being educated in certain things. He's learned that they don't close on you, (aka educated in knowing that). People who see it closing, but don't know that, are just as smart in that they don't try to stop it with what they see as irrational action. If you don't know it's safe to jump off a particular cliff; chances are you won't try until you've learned how safe it really is; unless you really are not smart.
This happens a lot with the G train because it only uses about 13-14 four-car sets of R68/A's of 75-foot long cars, and that they only level the middle of a platform, and that it takes time to get to the middle of the platform, and those G trains do not spend much time on platforms with their doors open.
Haha, great video. This always breaks my heart to see. 😭 I'm a subway performer and I feel like I see this happen to someone with almost every train that comes
Actually the doors on NY subways don't work like elevator doors. They don't open if they can't be closed. Only the conductor can open them. If you stick your foot in its not going to work unless the conductor opens it again. Also they are really hard to manually push open and there's a lot of force pushing them closed so expect your foot to hurt a lot
I love this compilation Other compilations like this only stick to the title so you know that they are gonna fail every time... but then there no point of watching cause you always know the depressing outcome... I like the other parts where people JUST make it gives the video change and satisfaction
OMG! When I am at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station, and I am going down one of those BUSY elevators, to the lower platform, and when I get down there and see the train is leaving without me, it pisses me off horribly. It takes me quite a lot of time to get down to the lower platform from that mezzanine, because of the fact that it only has elevators, and that they get very busy very frequently.
As a former conductor with the TA I know it happens, but I once came into W.4 St. station and right in front of me was woman reading a newspaper, drinking a cup of coffee and listen to something with her head phones on. I open the subway doors made the announcements, close the door, she looks up see the doors close take off her headphones and curses at me and throws the coffee at me!! Life in the big city
Whenever I see these type of video, I always wonder if the crew asked any kind of permission to show the faces or permission to film in the subway ? What are the rules in the US ? Thanks !
I am so glad I got to visit NYC in 2018, before Covid. I don't know what the shutdowns have done to the city, but from the looks of mine, it can't be good. Here's to hoping a full recovery!!
You know it's your lucky day when the open the doors again just for you 😂👌🏼
u need to be cute enough for that to happen...hahaha
0:51 😂
LifeWithErick that is true
ILY ERICK!!!
Ralph Sison Someone took a shit on one of them and every time the train stopped, people on that one moved to another one. The trains are pretty disgusting in New York:/
the art is to sacrifice your foot to get it to re-open
andernj08 lol
It’s not even that hard I’ve done before...
@Mark Fuckerberg probably should add that again so the train doesn't feel like a can of sardines lmao
Use your purse or book bag. Not worth a hand or foot!
I just shove in my whole body
Heartbreaking. I know the feeling!
Bro your videos are awesome
Never ride the G!!!!
actually it's not that big a deal, another one comes in about 10 min. fuck you.
NOONE wants to be in the subway another 10 min unnecessarily.. absolutely no-one.. unless you make your living down there.. and sometimes its not guaranteed another will come in 10 min or less, or that you will even fit in the next train during certain times... so yea after a long days work and an hour or so on the train already, not to mention going through the same thing for years, it is a big deal..
no it's not.
Watching this is oddly satisfying.
Maybe its the music.
because its funny when its not happening to you
I felt satisfied as well..
What's the name of the music? Can somebody tell me
ِ I normally don't like people on RUclips.
I like you ;)
Hi Jack it's the Blue Danube walz by Johann Strauss.
*Adulthood* : Rushing to a place you probably dont even want to go to
or even a teen going to school. which is why I don't rush to get on a train
Yep. Making some change in live may save years instead of couple minutes a day.
True lmao
Rather be in a car
0:51 if you're cute enough, they'll reopen the doors.
Roses are Red.. Trains are vomit blue? There's always an Asian cuter than you?
oh she's in my chem class :)
LOOOOOL
daniel yi yeah and I'm Santa -_-
+Dexagon SANTA IS NOT REAL!!
Damn the doors are savage..
lol they care zero lol
Yeah like "no f*cks given"
That's typical New York subway doors.
No, the engineers are.
But it all seriousness, there is a reason for this happening. Most New Yorkers use the subway as a lot of people don't have cars, and rely on public transportation, such as subways.
So subways are often crowded, and the engineers are on a tight schedule.
LoLz Sloths not as savage as the overground in London where trains are every half hour
0:39 - I like this dude, casually runs with a cola and nods to the driver, doors re-open. 😂
Drawyah Games he's a hottie
... if I saw him, I’d open all the doors for him. He FIONEEEEE
Even the train guy couldn’t resist his good looks. 😂😍
Thought he was holding mate for a second (search what mate is)
Pretty sure it's coffee
yooo 2:36 was highkey satisfying. One of the best feelings in the world.
RedShadow ikr
Yeah I got lot of satisfaction out of that.
What
Lowkey not am i lowkey right?
ikr, it had happened to me in Singapore
2:23
"Open up!"
*Train moves*
"Darn it.."
The conductor would of got a strike or fired for that, he could of just opened the door quickly and closed it.
They should be waking up a little earlier so they won't miss their damn train plus there's more than one train running
Is that the reason why New Yorkers look pissed off all the time?
Katty Z. I've heard it's not just a look. Its really their personalities. Lol
Bmlxo it is our personalities lol
Bmlxo Yeah is our personality
This and the fact that it's our personalities
One of *many* reasons.
The woman at 2:37 so blessed.
She could've been chopped up in half.
No she couldn't. I am like that all the time. The doors CANT chop you. Idiot.
+solongsucka shh just let us have our imagination
+Denilson 415 the doors open when they cant close.. Like elevators
thats not how those doors worked if it was like that nobody would even bother trying to open the doors back open when close they just open up and are pretty easy to push back if stuck
How did you get these clips, did just sit there filming until someone missed the train?
Yup, we did!
Eyy lmao
Train shows up. You get on. What's to be reminded of? You sound like a dumbfuck. How do you even manage to tie your shoelaces in the morning?
It happens almost every time there's a train in the station lol
Signs your gonna have a good day....
#1 You find a MetroCard
#2 They hold the door for you
#3 You don't encounter a "Homeless Man"
#4 Someone on the train said your cute
#5 THE TRAIN IS EMPTY!!!!
Kendall 3dits MetroCards you find are always expired lol
How does someone say you're cute if the train is empty?
Angrii she doesn’t mean all of this could happen in the same day
Number 4 and 5 is *NEAT*
Signs your gonna have a bad day...
#1 You lose your metrocard
#2 no one holds the door for you
#3 A homeless man goes on your train asking for money
#4 Someone on the train tells you to fuck off and look at something else
#5 The train is crowded
ME EVERY MORNING. Honestly though? The music makes this.
Eruanne I watched with no sound :(
Do you know the name of the song?
ELI???
There are two types of people in the world: those who rush the door and those who are rushed by the door.
i think im the 3 rd. I dont run for shit cuz i know therell be another one 5 mintues later (at least during rush hours here in boston).

Maurice Spelton 😂😂😂😂
Lolol
Lmfao somehow New Yorkers manage to be both
I want to say two things
1) I'm from New York
2) That shit sucks
Just fly your superman.
you're from Metropolis lier
If you were to take the train you could run to it you have super speed and besides don't you live like around the corner from the daily planet so you can walk to work.
+Turbine68 I don't work at the Daily Planet. I don't know what you're talking about.
Superman
Okay Clark.. I mean superman, sure you don't work at the daily planet.
lol these people
If I saw those doors closing I'd do a freaking 10 pt swan dive through at 30 mph
Lol
your not a true new yorker unless you make the train stop
lol
+Alejandro Piedra I couldn't agree with you more!!! These a videos of hipsters for the most part. Not NYERS.
😂😂😂😂
Must be tourists, half those people let the door close without even putting their arm in to stop it.
Luca Milosavlevic I don't put my arm or foot in (unless I'm in an extreme rush) because 1. I hate when other people do that because it delays the train and 2. I'm slightly paranoid that it will malfunction and the train will start moving and I'll be stuck in the door and die lol
Luca Milosavlevic. New Yorkers Dooooon't do that. it's a thing. Some people are bold tho and scream "Hold the Door"!.😂😂
Kayla Williams, it doesn’t delay the train... what all of like 2 seconds? “wElL WhAt iF eVeRyBoDy HeLd tHe TrAiN uP fOr 2 sEcOnDs???” Most people are standing there waiting on the platform when the train pulls up, if somebody holds the train up for 2 seconds it’s usually only like one or two people
They don’t look like tourists they look like New Yorkers based on a lot of things
John Not two seconds, but 30 seconds. Even then, it adds up. On the Lexington Avenue and Queens Blvd Lines, a delay for even one second can delay this train, and the next train, and the other train behind it, an no ones ever gonna be on time.
0:22 When foreign country's customs rejected your visa.
I think the best ones are the people who play it off. "Oh that train? Nope, wasn't getting on that one."
Lol
That's me, lol
Me haha
me everytime i miss my train
me. i take it to the next level and i approximate how long it would take me to nonchalantly come on board & i dont even bother if it dont compute
And then you stare down the conductor and make him feel bad. The New York way.
Melanie V yeah lol
YUP!
2:10 the couple right after this point. He thinks they are really hitting it off - and she has been looking for a way to get out of this date for the last hour.
As a New Yorker, I can confirm this is a mood. 😂

@@jaydottt_transitfannerI would ride the trains as long as it was air conditioned in the summertime years ago.
I love the “imma run for this train, but when the door closes before I could get in, imma act like I wasn’t even trying”
All I can hear in my head over and over again watching this is, "Stand clear of the closing doors please. *ding dong"
Same in Berlin. I once tried to jump through the closing door and it nearly squashed me, because they have no sensors or something lol this. Three people had to help me. Never did it again.
Hk and Ik should have them.
Cus European subways suck
Georg Skyborn
Nah Berlin‘s subway is one of the best also only like 2 cities even have a subway in the USA. Here almost every big city has a subway 😎
Yes the very old ones have no sensors, but I’d say 80% have them. They are replacing the old ones only when they break, because why waste a perfectly good train?
The same happend to a few students in my class when they went on a trip to Berlin.
I think Gary Jules' Mad World would fit better.
It did :D
Gary Jules version of mad world he didn't write the song
+kervenster azor Maybe that's what he was saying. The sentence still works.
.
Simon and Garfunkel - Sound Of Silence.
Sorry. It hurts more than a break up.
OKAY BUT THE GUY AT 0:44 IS CUTE AF
Aaron Lawford I'd open any doors for him!!!
gY
Fuck off gay
Well, he is a hunk
You just like the way his pecs jiggle when he's running.
it always amaze me of how diverse america his, there not one person who look like the other
truly a unique country
That's the beauty of New York, rest of USA is a racist dumping yard
Science ain't fiction - that's what they say true
No it's not. Racism is not common or accepted in most of America's states. Hate crime stats prove this. You 2 are just making shit up.
Introvert Outside yea
Literally Brazil
the description is hilarious
yes it is lmao
Hahaha thank you! It is!
This music is too
1:23 2:25 2:30 the same dude with the glasses is standing by the door. How many people were able to slip on when the doors were about to close??
That train has not left the station to this day.
PONYBOYonline haha good catch!
PONYBOYonline
, Are you observant or what? lol
Damn, It's a miracle no one snapped at those keeping the doors open.
Wow you're noticed that lol
PONYBOYonline LOL
0:30 If you “New Yorkers” don’t do this then I don’t know what to tell you.
Or Californian
Missing the train is like losing a billon dollars for NYers
I have nowhere to go, I just ride the subway for fun, if I miss a train I'm like "whatever the next train will come in like 6 minutes"
I'm a train enthusiast I know all the train models and stuff

Hi Jack The Blue Danube by johann strauss II
Real New Yorkers like me put their foot in the middle so the train won’t close all the way. Easy shit and works all the time 😎🤘🏽
Did that once, my foot got stuck and the doors did not open. Had to force it out with all my strength lol.
Ricky Ramirez And this is why people should never hold the doors under any circumstances
Pretty sure they have sensors now that won’t let the train move until all the doors are completely shut. Just stick your foot/arm in there and give it some mild pressure and it’ll open right back up
John Why the hell would you do that when the trains run every 2-10 minutes. There’s always another train coming right behind it.
TheRailLeaguer, so I don’t have to wait 2-10 minutes... duh

So everyday, All day they'd make you wait up to 2 hours (for what supposed to be 20 minutes) It was so bad that hundreds of people complained they were late for work and doctor appoints. I'm telling you guys, you really don't know how good you got it lol. And we have nearly a million people in my city.
The trains in my city have a little button on the doors that automatically open them if they're closing and they've saved my late ass so many times
In Helsinki, we have those buttons, but they do NOTHING.
Thailand would get you into train by oeoning again but not working,f**k you Thailand a lot of Thai people use buttons but it didn't work, what a wimp country.
Mine too, but that only works if the trains are ahead of schedule, so they wait there
Same with mine. You can open the door when it was just being closed, it can save most of these ppl.
Here's you situation is you miss the train by each train
1-your good, wait ain't that long
2-you'll be fine, usually it's the 3 with it
3-same as 2 since they are with each other most of the time
4-ouch, might be a bit unless the 5 is there too
5- your good, other trains happen to back it up
6-it's average
7-your good, 7 is always decent
A-possibly fucked
B-Also fucked
C-As Knux says "TOO STRONG", C waits are pretty short
D-A little wait,D is usually held up
E-some places are good, but most places like queens could be bad
F-Depends on the crowding situation
G-not too long, just don't forget its a shorter train
J-your fine despite some shitty trains
L-your good, CBTC control delivers
M-unfamiliar with upper queens, never really any problems
N-average wait
Q-average wait
R-yeah your fucked
Z-yeah a little bit of a wait
But that does not even include the times that there is construction, signal problems, etc. Which usually is all the time on at least one line. -_-
And you should never worry about missing the s train because they are usually back to back
The R IS SOOO FUCKING ANNOYING
Idk what you're talking about missing the j train is like the worst.
HOLY SHIT THE ONE FOR THE R TRAIN IS SO TRUEE
I once saw an entire school of kids get split in half on a field trip or something in DC once due to the subway.
Lmao
Topcat LOL
The worst is when trying to make a connecting train across the platform and the assholes close the doors before you get off and it leave, like mother for you couldn’t wait 30 seconds
Reasons why I moved out of New York and never come back
Was on the G train toward Brooklyn and I missed it by an inch. Was going to legit cry
The G is the worst fucking train. Sometimes I don't go places because it means I would have to take the G. Fuck that. lol
During rush hour, I've learned to invade the fuck out of people's personal space to push into the train(I'll spoon you) I'm also petite so I just look for a big guy, stand behind him and have him Hulk our way through the crowd! Works 98% of the time.
The G makes me throw up. I'd rather ride Jay-Z's J/Z line instead of that fucking lemon.
I have to ride that shit everyday to get to LIC
Only train I ever cry over if I miss it. Fucking takes like an hour for another one to come.
No.
I'll just put my shoes between the door and it would be re-opened 😂
and lose a foot
Kendahke M yah that wouldnt happen
Alex Shuysky it's not like an elevator... It closes with force and it will crash your feet the only person who can open is the driver...
Anes M "Crash your feet" you don't live in New York do you?
̔̏̊ ̔̏̊ the pain feels like so and yes I don't live in New York I live in Russia Moscow and I use metro's everywhere I go I don't even use buses so I know what I am talking about.
I’m glad I never have to deal with the subway. My job is only a few blocks away from my house and I just walk.
this happens to me EVERYDAY
I always feel awkward when the sub-door closes on me while peeps stair, I just kick the train.
everytime i miss a train i just stick my middle finger up to release the anger
You will be all right I promise there's plenty of trains running
The kid at 1:22 appeared again at 2:25 and 2:30 ...
@0:52 that Joy when the doors open back up 🤩
One of my rules in life: never run behind a train or a bus, wait for the next one
Absolutely right
Or run to the next stop of the bus to catch it if it’s above 7 minute wait time
A real new yorker would run to the doors and hold the doors and push them open until they can get in
These people are sloths, I'd easily slip through those closing doors Indiana Jones style 😏
you can't, once the door starts to close, its gg
Didn't that one guy kinda force it open? Is he a hulk or is it generally against subway rules to do that?
+SenshuRysakami it's doable but generally frowned upon as it hold up the train
SenshuRysakami If you do that, then the door will open by it self, but then the xonducter will literally yell the people through the speaker....
The Vocaloid Guy Scary :s
the amount of fucking times this has happened to me.
I was low key scared I was going to be in the video. This is my everyday commute. Welcome to New York.
0:51 How that woman just stood there as if she was dead and alive at the same time...
@0:51 if you are cute girl, door will open back up for you.
That's cute? LMAO
茶沢 bro if that’s what you call cute I don’t want to see what you think is ugly
Charlie Rakowsky Are there no mental asylums where you live?
【ϟ】 LoL
Yes she's sexy as hell, you idiots simply have a shitty taste in women
The only people who thinks this isn't funny are...New Yorkers that ride the subway.
so many struggle just to get to the platform after a plethora of stairs, but running for that G train? OMG! The train doesn't occupy the whole platform. So when you reach the platform, you have to run nearly half the station's length to catch the G before the doors close. Horrible. It's also the only train line on its route so you have no choice but to wait for the next one.
This gives me anxiety
Err... we’re even more savage in England
00:30 knows how to do it
Eh? That's like the joke about the neurotic who questioned why the Rorschach test he was given was all about sex.
Kinda funny that the woman right after him NEARLY got it but decided to not push her luck too hard...
The ones that gave up while still having a foot on the inside are weak. If I had the extension of my toe nail blocking the door from closing I won't stop until I'm in.
That savage man who forced open the subway door.
What if your tripped and fell while running towards the train 0_____0
The moment when the conductor re-opens the door for you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Glad I don't live in NYC. Must be so awkward at moments like 2:43.
Avery Creel all the time especially during rush hour
Every fucking morning I’m leaning over backwards to avoid touching someone.
You get very intimate with people arm pits during rush hour. If I’m wearing a hat it will 95% get punched off my someone rushing to grab onto the pole next to me before they fall
Just don't make eye contact and it's bearable.
Jennely P. Hats during rush hour? Forget about it!
This always happens to me on the G Line. The freakin line of cars is so short relative to the station so I had to run across the platform to even reach the train. I don't miss that garbage line at all during school years. This is evident in 1:46
Tech kid? 🤔
G for garbage?
Especially on Nassau avenue lol
heard they're gonna start running 8 cars on that line soin
@@buksi6342 G for Great
you could literally do an entire video of just the G train ... people running across the platform all the the time
I've discovered that if I hear a southbound G train pulling into the Greenpoint Ave stop as I'm walking past C-Town, if I run like a maniac, get a perfect swipe, and then do the hundred yard dash down the platform, 9 out of ten times I'll get on the train. But it has to be during the morning commute when it takes a minute for everyone to board. And then you get to breathe heavily and pretend you're fine while everyone stares at you and the sweat begins to dampen your shirt. Not a great way to start a day, but better than waiting for the next train.
Reminds me of a time when someone’s shoe came off in the door and left without them lol
"Stand clear of the closing doors please" *chime*. There's always another one coming (if it does show up or not)
how fitting most of the clips seems to be with the G train :)
As a New Yorker myself I have to say this is the single most beautiful thing i have ever seen in my entire life... so much pain and dissapointment in one video.
and Jared from subway misses the kids
lmaooooo somebody get this man an award
You just won the internet. id give a medal if i could
memes
The Blue Danube 🎵🎶 Miss the Subway Train Song
I still love ny
This is hillarious
I see this shit everyday so it's not entertaining to me.
Jeffrey Bravo then why are you here?
Jeffrey Bravo yea why ur hear duma$$
Gabe Stagg oh fuck off
only saw one smart person. at 0:28
Yeah that's how a real new yorker would do it
+Moses Lemann Exactly
There's a very obvious difference between being smart, and being educated in certain things. He's learned that they don't close on you, (aka educated in knowing that). People who see it closing, but don't know that, are just as smart in that they don't try to stop it with what they see as irrational action.
If you don't know it's safe to jump off a particular cliff; chances are you won't try until you've learned how safe it really is; unless you really are not smart.
Rollo Larson most of them are not sheep most of them see that the sign says one minute for the next train
Smart? Imagine if everybody felt they had the right to stop a train from leaving just so they could get in.
This was so satisfying. Like popping bubble wrap level of satisfaction
Man so many of these people could have made it. You got gotta stick your fucking arm in there.
The rest of me didn't make but at least *my arm* made it...........
+BHuang92 You heard the man! Praise his Arms!!!
+BHuang92 Lol My arm is gonna go downtown Manhattan, but the rest of my body will stay in Midtown.
+Superman the doors act like elevator doors...
Some people are really trying to play for their lives sticking there hand and feet in while the door it closing 🤔🤣
I love this compilation
Other compilations like this only stick to the title so you know that they are gonna fail every time... but then there no point of watching cause you always know the depressing outcome...
As a New Yorker, I know this pain a million times over
How is this trending with only 19,000 views?
now it has 45,000
now it has 45,000
It has to get a certain amoung of views per hour.
A popular RUclipsr talked about it. Philip Defranco
100K
One time i had my book bag and the train doors closed on my bag and I had to squeeze my way in and it was so embarrassing. Like if you don't care.
lol
NYCs hustle vs the train doors lol!😂😂😂😂
As a former conductor with the TA I know it happens, but I once came into W.4 St. station and right in front of me was woman reading a newspaper, drinking a cup of coffee and listen to something with her head phones on. I open the subway doors made the announcements, close the door, she looks up see the doors close take off her headphones and curses at me and throws the coffee at me!! Life in the big city
Whenever I see these type of video, I always wonder if the crew asked any kind of permission to show the faces or permission to film in the subway ? What are the rules in the US ? Thanks !
nooivi It's owned by the government so it's allowed to film. Any area in America that's not privately owned you're allowed to film without permission.
are these people really New yorkers? like the door is still open just stick your hand in and the doors open again lmao
I am amazed they don't have any barrier between the platform and the tracks.
Also don't trains come like every 2 minutes?
yes but it may not be the train you want it to be
no station in NYC has any barrier. only at jfk air train.
Okay.
actually, not all trains come in two minutes. sometimes there is train traffic/delay and you habe to wait even longer
I hv been there before, it comes 20 min per train + 15min a station, some time 30 with 3 miles.
I am so glad I got to visit NYC in 2018, before Covid. I don't know what the shutdowns have done to the city, but from the looks of mine, it can't be good. Here's to hoping a full recovery!!
U know whenever your walking in school and u make it through two doors just in time like there about to close but u make it past?
