I considered the HG-300, but for a bit less I found the HG-200 to be a better starting IR light. It comes with a stand and a built in 10, 15, & 20 minute timer. As for noise, the sound is a soft low pitched sound. I've been using it for months now and I love it. Plus, the code, "ALEX" does work for this model.

@@brookekasprzyk4850 I'm glad it came. Yes, the area covered is somewhat small, BUT for things like my hands and face, it works well. Some day I really have to pose a review on RUclips.
Thanks for this nice review. I have an HG500 and really like it. I actually like the basic design and use the hanging kit to attach it to a door. I have been using it for about eight months, mostly to improve my sleep, but it has also helped with muscle recovery from overuse. As you mentioned, there is no timer so I just use my phone.
Please review the hg200!! It's my first red light device but the power plug that goes in the back seems kinda flimsy to me and can come loose easily, compared to what I've seen for the hg300 or Hooga Pro 300 - would be interested to see you test its power output and irradiance.
Just went for the HG300 and there seemed to be a different coupon code active (maybe for US memorial day?) -- brought the price down to 128 USD, so made my official red light entry point even more affordable!
Hi. I'm new to red light therapy and wondering what is the best option for Muscle Recovery and skin rejuvenation. Is the 850 nm as high as it goes or is there more of an intensive one. Would love to know how intensive I can go with my face. Also I've seen people looking at this with the light on so it looks like you don't have to wear a eyeglasses eyewear
Hey, when are you going to launch your own red light near infra red panel/ partner with a company to launch a product you design? You’ve spent the time to study this body of knowledge when are you going to maximize the good your doing for this community by just creating/ designing the best panel/ best value panel possible?
Hey. Oh that’s not really the direction I want to go down. I wouldn’t know where and how to start. Supply. Logistics. Quality control. Sourcing. Warehousing. Design. Packaging. Pricing. Support. Etc etc etc. all that stuff scares me. Especially as I’m based in New Zealand!

Thanks for the review! I just ordered one today, and they must have upgraded it recently :) It has a kickstand, 3 year warranty, and a timer with 3 options. Although, it is $169 now (or $144 with a student/military discount). Also I wanted to ask - since the power you measured is lower than what they advertise, would you be able to measure what the output is at 12" or 18"?

I bought eleven in total. Each with 60 led lights that look just like those but the power drivers are way higher. So I have 660 leds in total I only paid $49 each 60 led unit and I've used them for a year now without any problems. Mine draw 174 Watts each, 1,914 Watts in total for 11 of them and use 60 x 5 Watt LED's with 2 led chips per bulb setup. I think you have the version with the single 3 watt Led's. Mine are made by the same manufacturer as the HG300. Same switches, same fan, even the sticker is the same. Over twice the power and 1/3rd the price. I like not having any timers, just two switches as I can turn on and off all 11 units from one flick of a switch. Actually I have then connected to Google home with an energy monitoring Wifi switch.
I’m one of those people who have been considering red light therapy but have found it cost prohibitive so thank you for sharing this device. I would imagine installing it using the pulley system included but how would I treat the lower extremities like my knee and feet as I have arthritis in those areas? Also, is there some kind of a guide on how long to use the device on different areas? Thank you so much.
Hi thanks for the comment. You can see how the pulley system works here - ruclips.net/video/TyV3mrtZnkQ/видео.html Otherwise you could simply disconnect it from the pulley and use it on the floor for your feet and knee. You could even rest your foot directly on top of the panel for your feet treatment. Dosing - yes Hooga include a really good dosing manual. So check that out.
