    Tank,
in the process of "juicing" both my FJs, as well!
I was a bit intimidated doing the trans flush (having only done 'em on my Buick back in the day...)
But I found a much easier way ( kinda cobbled together from the forum)
For the trans, I got two 5 gal. buckets (Walmart) & one of those electric fluid pumps off Amazon.
    I hooked plastic hose on the bottom trans line off the radiator;
Filled one 5 gal bucket w/ new fluid ( i marked bucket @ every gal.) put in 3 gal + 1 qt. fresh fluid
& hooked pump's outlet to rubber return hose end & metal nipple to hose to empty bucket to catch old fluid.
Started engine & turned pump on; shifted through gears , & normal protocols.
Watched the buckets like a hawk; when all the new was in shut it down, & reconnected hose to hard-line
Took less than 5 min. to flush.
(It actually took longer to set everything up)
Then started engine & let trans. to operating temp & opened the overflow (most of the extra qt. flowed out).
Only had to deal w/ overflow bolt, no need to pre-warm trans or mess w/drain & fill bolts, crush-washers, retorquing, etc.
This saved so much time & trouble (esp. doing 2 FJs)
    Anywho, just my 2 cents.
    Really enjoy your videos!

Thanks for the info. Actually did the transmission today and it was pretty darn easy. All I neede was 4 quarts plus 10oz to fill it. Overall, working on these FJs are a lot of fun and doing it myself saves hundreds of dollars.
Sounds like you had quite the system set up to flush and fill, great job!

Nice video. I just did this a few weeks ago. The dealer wanted $600 to change the fluid in all 3, so I decided to DIY it. The parts department wanted over $300 for Toyota gear oil. I found Revenol makes a kit that actually meets Toyota's specs, but I could not find it locally available. I ended up using Lucas exactly like you did.

Most dealerships usually do a fine job and I realize they have to make money but when you can do something yourself and save hundreds, it's worth it. Lucas brand products have never let me down. Thanks for the comments.

Have an 07 FJ myself, been great, no regrets. I enjoyed your video but did notice a mistake. FJ's came through with a few different transer case designs and you can not put 75W90 GL-5 in all of them. For Full-time or AWD vehicles, Toyota recommends 75W90 GL-5. But for the 4WD or part-time transfer case, the manufacturer recommends 75W90 GL-4. There is a big difference between the two oils. GL-5 contains chemicals that are not safe for bronze components. GL-4 rated gear oil is safe for all gear boxes that contain bronze parts. Please update your video and warn viewers to contact Toyota or look inside their owners manual to verify which type of 75W90 they need before buying.

Thanks for that heads up, I guess I read my owner's manual wrong.

Good job, really like the way you work. In regards to the rear diff oil capacity, I'm pretty sure it's 3qt+ depending on your diff setup (locker or not) but I forget the exact amount now.

I use 75/90 but you should use what you are comfortable with. I am a big Lucas Products fan and their fluids have never let me down.
