Doc's never trapped, merely relocating the ravagers into a more concentrated location.
G.O.A.T of Grinding 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Its a really good mix of Base progress and Decked out runs, you're amazing doc!
How far can you be if you started 'One Piece' at the start of the Wall build of you base? XD

I think that the only reason Joe's Pinball machine isn't finished yet is because of how much he helps people.
I think he is one of the nicest people I've seen.
No reply, hwck yeah joe is such an underrated hermit. Or mayne its jist his weird humor clicks on me everytime ahaha
Looks like Doc should've built a Decked Out 2 module on his copper farm rather than a TCG arena :p
A minigame played with one player on either side of the Nether portal could be a thing. Chicken Ping Pong or something. Drowned slaying contest.
TCG is still going rampant in the Hermits’ livestreams, but most find Cub’s arena the most friendly to use. Most hermits are featuring their first reactions of DO2 since these are the first few weeks of the game and will return to a more normal style of videos this week.
I was rooting so hard for you to get your first level 2 artifact, and for you to get you’re own artifact on top of that!! I though FOR SURE you were done for when you got caught up on that snow layer after the ravager hit you the first time. Wow! Great run Doc! That was fun to watch.
amazing as ever doc the perimeter is looking amazing I cant wait to see it complete but it does take a lot of time doing stuff like this so just chill and don't burn yourself out
with gnembon's accidental background of sand layers i hope there'll be renewable sand soon at least, that can hopefully be farmed as well :) even without the middle part done I really like the contrast the sandstone/copper creates to the deepslate! keep up the grind goatman!
I'm always so happy on a Friday once I've seen you post your video :)
PS: The wall art looks amazing
A very cool grandma, I love the tapestry 😂
Murals/hieroglyphs of the hermits all around the perimiter walls would be pretty epic, can't wait to see how Joe's turns out. Crazy grind btw, well done Doc on the decked out runs too =)
Don't worry about draining the supply of Artifakes™. Tango made hundreds of each and they just get destroyed if you don't take them.
It does look a little like a grandmas cross-stitch design... the kind of thing that would say.... live laugh love ...
Some commenters: it looks like a grandma's wallpaper
*Doc will remember that*
Loaficas... that is such a perfect but hilarious fan art
You could sell an ugly Christmas sweater with the perimeter border.
Doc says it is the roman empire, I say its's tea towels.
Grind, optimize, automate, thrive, together... and if all else fails, whine.
You have to love Joe his a great guy.
Mann Joe ist so toll. er ist echt ein so liebenswerter verrückter Kerl.
About the thumbnail... That amogus tear dangit
personally I dont like sand duping but I also don't like destroying entire biomes, mojang really need to add a farm sand. personally I'd like husks to drop it, plus biome specific farms would give us another reason to exploring(especially for the farm type player), something mojang seem to really want us to do 🤷♂️
Came to see what strategy he'd have for obliterating a desert. There was literally 0 desert obliterating. Video should have just been called "decked out"
Should it not be more about getting the Hermits together for the grind...?
That sand guilt trip story is hilarious, instead of a prank war it's a guilt war, doc vs hermits to get sand haha.
For a second I thought he replaced the discs in his PA system to get the sand since it worked before.
i mean, if he can get all the sand he needs with 5 people in about 1 hour, the total grind would be 5 hours solo - i dont think that would justify duping at all. there are tons and tons of hours spend gathering materials every episode by every other hermit as well ;)
@@nilius90I think the biggest thing is that sand is used a LOT, especially by the hermits, in recipes like sandstone, glass and concrete, and even tnt and yet here we are with he game bring over a Decade old and Sand is still finite and unrenewable. Meanwhile a TON of other finite items have been made renewable in some form that can be easily farmed such as redstone, quartz, gravel, blackstone, etc etc. If you want Sand or sand related products you need to go destroy a desert in your world which kind of sucks. Think about Season 7 and Cubs Pyramid, that required a ton of sandstone stairs and other sandy bits and while he set up in a desert he still had to go destroy a massive portion of the community "mining desert" which again kind of sucks especially when it's far away, not huge and/or already mined if on multiplayer.
@@SnyperMK2000JclL Glass can be easily traded for btw. Like 1 emerald for 4 glass. But everything else sand related requires deleting an entire desert
Haha thank you for featuring my art on this week's thumbnail!:D this piece is one of my best works so far, so I'd like to also thank you for inspiring me and the artist community :] Keep up the good work hehe!
AYYY it looks awesome!!
@@opal9583 tysm!!
It's fantastic well done
Crazy~!! 👌❤️🤌
Love how you drew Tango's expression
The versions of the artifacts you can collect are called "ArtiFakes" so I'm guessing they come from a different supply, and taking them will never actually break the game.
This is true. Also, they are "incompatible" with the real artifacts (you can see they don't have the value number in their name), so can't be taken into the game and used.
I also believe he made like 2 or 3 stacks of each artifact so supplies are plenty
Yeah, you can tell by the fact that the fake ones don't have an ember amount. Also they are just iron nuggets so the supply probably isn't an issue
@@neoncat6820technically all artifacts fake and real, plus all the embers, coins, and crowns are iron nugs as well. tango just has to run a few commands to get the tags to match
He made 5 stacks of each, @@Zulfurin
Tango changed the way shards were distributed inbeteen phases. Now they are distributed according to frost embers collected in the dungeon. You were one of the hermits collecting the least amount of frost embers. And got almost the highest amount of shards this phase.
(Edited)
lets goooo
So does that mean there is less point in collecting victory tomes? I don't think we saw Doc buy any in the episode
@@spiragonplays It's true hermits won't buy vicory tomes often anymore. But they are for the win. If nobody is submitting tomes this week except for 3 hermits. They'll get a lot of points to win the entire thing.
Watching the perimeter from above does downscale the immense progress that has been made this week. Well done!
Imagine this thing is like 35 x 35 chunks.... wich is 16 x 16 blocks pee chunk.... wich i think shud be around 313500 ish blocks..... and thats 1 layer... i think doc dug it down like 100 layers or so?
Also being able to see ot from one side to the other. It's easy to forget that he uses a mod just to be able to look at the perimeter.
Wow, two top comments from the same person isn't something you see very day. Congratulations, Questerer!
If you collect enough sandstone to decorate your perimeter, maybe you can turn the desert into a second perimeter in the process
3:30 You might not realize, but the "compass school" joke, was a jab at Scar. He (and now mumbo) spent a minute failing that exact same compass location as the one you had trouble with, after which he said he needed a "compass school".
I swear that spot is cursed.
Practically every Hermit who has gone to that spot has spent an unusually long period of time throwing the compass on every spot around the actual spot.
Yeah it's the hardest compass
I mean, I get that panic makes you do silly things, but every time I watch them throw it on all eight tiles *around* the one the compass is actually pointing to... and it hurts >
It's because the block they need to throw it on has snow layers stacked slightly higher than the blocks around it, so unlike most compass locations, throwing it _toward_ the block (or even curling in Scar's case) won't work, as it will hit the edge of the snow layers and stop or bounce off. It has to be thrown _directly_ onto the block while standing on top of it, something most of the hermits don't generally do with their compasses.
Did mumbo start playing?
"If you play Minecraft, you know this was a grind." Doc, everything you do is a grind and I am amazed every episode.
i really enjoyed doc accidentally getting too close to the berry bush and taking a little bit of damage, and he just went “ow. don’t do that.” it felt like he was telling the viewer to stay safe for me and idk why. either way i just said “ok!” and i will be staying safe from berry bushes
Real dad energy from Doc. Little Doccy will be even brighter than the goat himself.
@@charliethunkman oh yeah, no question. doc is such a cool guy, i feel like his kid is going to grow up so happy being raised by someone so sweet
38:01 I’ve never seen someone get out of a ravager sandwich so effortlessly! A GOAT at work!
Love the picture of the desert after the farming was done. I almost feel like you can just show that to the hermits who are opposed to duping like: "Here you go! This is what you wanted, right?"
"You want to help do it again for my glass needs now, right? And then again for concrete?" Sand not having an easy farm option needs to be changed. It's just too useful a resource. Oh, and using tnt to collect it just uses *even more.* Who cares if it's faster, it's using your supply!
Doc, if you haven't realized by now, you can be a revolutionary in Hermitcraft, as more and more hermits started releasing videos as long as yours, even duplicating sand in the end will come.. Don't say desperate, just be strong and courageous!
PS. love your videos.
If they don't like sand duping, do they reject tnt duping?
It's Doc's server, the hermits just live in it.
If they really don't like duping, they should collectively pester Mojang to implement something like the Skyblock solution for sand: make it a drop from Husks like copper is from Drowned. It fits the theme of the mob, matches a pre-existing mechanic, and solves the issue of both Sand and Dynamite not being renewable.
that's my favourite thumbnail this season to date. And you still hold the record of the sole victim of frost ember hole
aa tysm!! it's one of my best works yet:D
@@loaficus you did mighty good job capturing the expression, the laugh tango had replayed in my mind seeing this
@@Keithlynd_I love that Tango is posing for a selfie, too. The tears from laughing was a great touch as well as was capturing the textures of the build.
Love that you incorporated the normal stuff in between the runs, feels very cohesive and gives you time to breath between runs
I cant lie , everything youve done this season has been epic, cant wait to watch this
Everlasting season
Joe Hills appreciation post: he is an absolute one of a kind and the straw that stirs the drink of the entire server. He spends more time working on projects for other hermits than for himself. He never runs out of energy. In sports we call him a "glue guy", someone who determines whatever the team needs on a given day and he does that, enthusiastically, and excellently, gluing in any holes. He is an amazing role model for how to make a great impression joining a new server.
I love how calm Doc is when he is freaking out, polar opposite of all the other hermits.
The shards became no longer based off of tomes but just how many frost embers you managed to get over the course of all your runs - so it's now more directly tied to how well you play instead of just victory points.
The thumbnail fan art is fantastic! All I can think about is last time when Tango commented on how calm Doc was during his runs. Plus getting stuck hehe. I look forward to some more Decked Out runs from the GOAT!
thanks!! it was lots of fun to make:D
Well, Doc used to be a professional basketball player where being calm under pressure is a requirement.
Tango changed how bonus shards are rewarded, you now are awarded shards based on the ember value of artifacts you retrieve from the dungeon. The highest total artifact value for the phase receives the least shards for the next phase.
This is right, but a slight correction, it is actually ember value of artifacts for the entire game. So for phase 3 it’s be adding the embers collected for Phase 2 **and** Phase 1
You probably already figured out what you’re gonna do for the perimeter but I like the idea of having or veins looking like lightning strikes through the perimeter walls lower wise the ancients discovered huge mineral resource in the area and mined it out.
I know this would be ludicrous but if that crack was out of diamond blocks it would be fitting and look awesome. It also would be a flex of wealth on a whole other level. But I guess that is a bit too much.
mad props to Joe for being the most helpful Hermit. He definitely deserves recognition.
I hope the next fan art is of Doc climbing up the snow hill to escape the ravagers. Amazing episode
Or holding his namesake artifact, grinning.
Hey doc, just a tip to avoid some confusion. Decked Out has 4 "levels" and 5 "difficulties" (easy, medium, hard, deadly, and deepfrost). A lot of hermits are saying "level 2 run" when they mean "medium" :)
So what changes when you select deepfrost, or has he not made the level yet
@@Emailminecraftdeepfrost level will open after every easter egg is found, and i think it's not completely finished (Tango keeps it hidden)
@@Emailminecraft
What changes is how far down you have to go to collect your artifact.
@@Emailminecraft it's not a 1 to 1 mapping from difficulty to level. Easy = first part of level 1, Medium = 50/50 chance level 1 or level 2, Hard = level 2 or level 3, Deadly = back of level 3, deepfrost = level 4 (which is not open yet but it is built)
@@domiproky4542 level 4 is finished buildwise, Tango just needs to do the redstone which he's totally not procrastinating on
That thumbnail is just hilarious. It looks like Tango is taking a selfie with a very confused goat.
ty! yea it was meant to be a selfie :]
How long do you think it will take for Scar to go into one of the buildings around the Perimeter wall, and get killed by some mob?
… the red door in Scarland has an amazing interior …
11:00 (I think there's a book to the right of the snow pillars explaining this) The amount of shards per phase is based on total frost embers collected (as in went to the shop with) by that player. I think the book says it's from 6 to 14 shards, though the lowest this week was 8.
Really good runs Doc! I would have been super disappointed if you didn't manage to get those horns of the GOAT out lol
i love how those sandstone buildings at the bottom look, you did a really good job :)
Love this week's fan art thumbnail, That was one of the best DO2 moments (especially from Tango's POV) really hoping someone makes an animatic of it!
haha tysm! and thanks for the idea, i'll think about it X)
He could have had the fancy nighttime look of the perimeter everytime all the time if only he left the lid on it.
I know the Perimeter has been around for a long time now but only now at 7:01 did it finally sink in for me how grand this project is. What a powerful demonstration of minecraft ingenuity.
This vids thumbnail is One of the funniest thumbnail by fan... Ngl
*far
ty! glad u like it:D
That Horn of the G.O.A.T. level 2 run was pro. Rarely seen the dungeon that calm while returning from Level 2.
tango based the number of shards purely on how many frost embers each person was able to collect rather than tomes. this way the people who likely have a much weaker deck are able to get more runs and give them a chance to catch up to the people who are getting more successful runs, or deeper dungeon runs and have a stronger deck of cards already.
Great thumbnail today! (as always) I get to work knowing that it's Friday but a Doc video just solidifies it. danke doktor
Let's go i love watching doc play hermitcraft
This is why on Friday, I live again.
Finally caught up and watching on the same day as drop! I love the juxtaposition of "evil" hijinks, game breaking Redstone, and wholesome tomato farming and fatherhood. My little one is only a couple months older than Doccy and I can identify with all your dad stories so much. :)
33:40 don't u worry doc! tango is way ahead of you on that one and made sure there were plenty of Artifakes(TM) for everyone :D
edit: the walls look fantastic! love it so much
Can confirm, in addition to this the artifake(tm) items are different and separate from the real ones you get within the dungeon, so even if the collectible artifakes(tm) were to run out it would not affect the game at all
you should keep the bottom section with the fresh copper, looks so good!
You grind whilst watching movies and entire seasons of TV shows. I grindwhilst watching all the hermits!! There is symmetry
I wasn't thinking 'grandma wallpaper' specifically but it equates to the same thing lol I was thinking it looks like that border wallpaper that i would absolutely remove first day after buying a house (That probably was a grandmas house lol)
I'm thinking of a song for Doc's dungeon runs. The hook is "Goat, Goat, Goat of the dungeon. Watch out for that grate" (to the tune of George of the jungle!) :D
Hot decked out summer for the GOAT, and somehow he manages this epic grind to go with it. Absolutely amazing.
I laughed hard thinking back to an earlier Ep in the season when Gem asked for a bunch of sand and you’re like yeah no problem haha
Decorating the perimeter has become a grind of it's own. All the decked out runs I have watched have been epic to say the least.
That horn of the goat run was super clean. Stressful at the end, but phenomenal movement through the dungeon
That dodge over an assured ravager sandwich was legendary and forever be remember as part of Decked Out History
"Sometimes your dreams come true if you whine enough" - Hope Doc jr. doesn't find out about this anytime soon ;)
Love the decked out spaced with your updates on your big project. makes for a great episode
Is interesting to see how everyone acts in the dungeon snd expresses tension in their own way. Of course the GOAT keeps a pretty cool head, but he also spends the entire time mumbling under his breath.
Don't worry about taking the artifact every time causing issues. Tango made 5 stacks of every artifake he doesn't even pick them back up they rot if you don't take them.
And I imagine pressing the button to leave the shop may drop the Artifake™️ back into the system. Or that may be a system upgrade if needed.
If the perimeter wall is a tapestry a grandma would use, then grandma has good taste
Doc, you should AFK in a minecart going around the perimeter to help the copper age. The perimeter is so large, you don't spend enough time around the edges for it to age.
Great video! Can't wait to see more and more Decked Out! And the perimeter is looking incredible. You've been an inspiration to me this year as I've been taking on bigger and bigger projects
Wait... Sand duping is banned, but nobody said anything about a 500 block wide quarry...
My chances of finding a gf are like the deserts on the Hermitcraft server after this Doc grind: obliterated.
Grain, Mumbo, Scar used to steal copper from the perimeter walls and now docs struggling
I see at 23:14. Sir DocM77 you can middle click( if you didn't change it) on a block you have placed down to select it and get more from your inventory into your hotbar! I am so glad to help!
Compass school is just a meme at the point of your last video. Scar was not able to find that one spot that you were stuck at too. And Tango said to him that he needed to go to compass school. 😅 when scar got good there was talk of him starting that school.
Today's Fact: In 1977, a plane crashed into a plane carrying the wife of the Yugoslavian ambassador to the United States; both survived the crash, but both had previously been involved in a plane crash in 1972.
🤔
Today's fact: in 2010 a plane of the Polish president crashed in Smolen'sk and everyone f**king died 👍
Today's Fact: The date of 6 February will forever be circled on the calendars of everyone connected with Manchester United. On that day in 1958, the darkest day in United's history, 23 people - including eight players and three members of the club's staff - suffered fatal injuries in the Munich Air Disaster. 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Todays fun fact the last 2 weeks in a row they commented first
was it one incident in 1972 or two separate incidents?
Anyone else from Zedaph's channel hyper aware of Zed's hiding spots in the dungeon? I know where they are and I look to see if I can catch the glimpse of a wild Zedaph.
Woot!!!!! I couldn't tap on this fast enough getting ready for work and listening to Doc is now a favorite Friday thing
Showing off those skills again huh Doc? That leap to freedom from the jaws of certain death was incredible! There should have been a voice saying 'GODLIKE' when you did that :D Super-Mega-Awesome-Epicness!
your videos are the best. youre definitely my favourite hermit
Your artifact is one of the coolest looking ones I saw until now, and has an awesome text too.
Finally up early enough to catch docs episode when it comes out. It 5 in the morning but docs episode is worth losing 3 hours of sleep
My friend! It’s time for you to move into the hard runs and start learning level 2 a little better. You’ll get much better loot further down! You’ve got this! You’re ready!
Favorite part of the week ?
DOCM77 UPLOAD ‼️‼️🗣️🗣️
Really appreciate your content
Idea: towards the end of the season create a pack of postcards with all the season thumbnail artwork we can order. Would be a lovely memento
I really appreciate Joe for helping out grinding.
I'm ambivalent on the whole grind/dupe debate, but it's really sweet that the Hermits are helping out.
(And especially Joe, because I'm pretty sure he is the one that normally heads Hermits-helping-Hermits, or so I remember).
The lower border looks great, i cant wait to see how it will look when it's all done
I must say i love this episode format so many decked out runs and in between we get updates on the perimeter
Re: "a tapestry that some grandma would use"
There is no grind more noble than that of a grandma or grandma-themed individual weaving a tapestry, bonus metal points if the tools are carved from bone.
(I will never give up my bone crochet hooks, they're the best. With them I made a skull-motif coaster for my office mug while watching your last video!)
Most Americans just aren't used to upper wall borders anymore. Ignore their lack of historic, and international knowledge. It looks cool, Doc. Reminds me of the detailed Eastern European wallpaper borders, or manor house/Asian wood detailing since it's done in relief.
Its amazing to see the Decked Out 2 fever spread to ALL the Hermits, I think bar WelsKnight.
GOAT =Grandma's Original authentic tapestry. I kidd, it looks epic and truly a monument to the grind.
I like the Southwest vibe. It reminds me of the indigenous cliff dwellings found in Arizona and New Mexico.
Maybe if you add some floral patterns underneath...or some yellow and white stripes.
I'm sure that will stop it looking like grandma wallpaper.
