@@DaijDjanI was just about to comment the same thing. I went from watching 4 or 5 hermits to over half just because of the HCBBS, it would be really cool to see something like that but a mix of styles.
They literally said (Mumbo) that they knew Doc would just blow it all up in no time at all, but they were still going to do it for the sake of doing it. That's dedication to a prank. 😆
Honestly, this is what keeps me coming back to Hermitcraft. The builds are awesome, the individual creators are incredible... but it's the fact that listening to one hermit wax eloquent about how much they appreciate another hermit isn't an _unusual_ thing. It's always so inspiring to see the collaborative element at work. The hermits are all fantastic artists and engineers in their own right, but the magic of Hermitcraft comes from the fact that they all respect each other and work in tandem to create phenomenal, awe-inspiring, fun, and engaging things. Mad respect to every hermit -- though, of course, always the highest respect to the GOAT. ;)
Haven't watched the full video yet, but I have to say, that intro was gold. I honestly wouldn't have put it past Doc to build another world eater and clean up the perimeter prank fast enough that he could record the episode without ever mentioning it, and then pretend that it didn't happen. Ironically, the thing that gave Doc away was him saying he had the best vacation. I've you've seen him on twitter, that was very much not the case.
I was so confused the first few seconds, because of him acting like nothing happened. But yeah, him saying "best vacation ever" was the moment I realized what's going on.
doc... I'm so glad that grian and scar touched the jukebox because if they hadn't, I never would have discovered you, and I never would have laughed myself into multiple asthma attacks because I was giggling so hard and so much at this WHOLE thing... thank you for the amazing laughs
The moment on his vacation when he found out his hard work had been covered must've been difficult. Just relaxing with the family plotting serious revenge on his friends.
Those announcements added fuel to the fire constantly. Hence why everyone was so motivated to do the grind. LOL!!!! It worked so well it backfired spectacularly.
Love how Doc introduce the thumbnail at the beginning, as if you never knew what it's meant to depict, as if it is like one of those visual prophecy that the protagonist discover of what might happen/foreshadowing the future.
Doc, you need one of those secret entrances, that is like a telephone booth or little shed on the surface, where you hit a button and you zoom into the perimeter
Very amusing to hear the betrayal in Doc’s voice after finding out Etho helped- ofc terrible Betrayal by the NHO, but also the Buttercups basically offered Mr. Shade-E-E’s himself the chance to do a bigger version of the mushroom prank, he wasn’t exactly going to say no.
The scale of this prank is just…absolutely epic. The best pranks are ones where the recipient is simultaneously impressed and angered. They succeeded. I for one wouldn’t fault you, Doc, for letting them have the win.
I think this hilights a potential for Doc in next season - to create something massive underround that plays to the whole dark underground coporate/grind aesthetic, because we can see here with a bit of coverage his work really does take a new haunting view!
Ever since Grian, Mumbo, and Scar posted their videos, I've been checking this channel every day to see Doc's reaction and I can say that it was worth the wait, I was laughing throughout this video
Seeing each hermit do a pixel art mural would be super cool and I’m sure they’re enjoy learning a new aspect of the game! Just convince them to graffiti the perimeter 😂
Given how many Hermits it took to pull off this prank, I guess the "power of friendship" can actually defeat the villian! Those announcements were both terrifying and awesome.
If it wasn't for the fact that it impacted Doc's farms I would've said to keep the new land. Might have to try this myself in my world. A completely innocent looking surface with a huge base underneath.
I love how the intro starts with the Perimeter open and Doc is saying nothing is wrong, in a state of denial, and then Doc does an actual intro with the current state of the dark Perimeter, flabbergasted at what happened.
@@antman9527It would be hilarious if Grian actually finishes it then doc pulls it down with a flying machine and pretends they had to reload the server to before he did it or something.
You know, despite how the Buttercups and friends had acted, its nice to know that you had saw the bright side. After all, you now have where to build the walls of the perimenter. Also, if you want to freak everyone out then just host a harmless party celebrating how thankful you are to everyone. Like you just host a party and nothing bad happens. Leading to everyone being on edge for the entire time wondering whose base is going to be destroyed. And when everything is over, the Buttercups and their allies will be so on edge that they'll think your planning something big. Oh and try making them all doubt each other during the party in very subtle ways. As that can cause everyone who did the biggest grind ever to start messing with each other.
The best way to get the walls done is to offer up a "forgive and forget" to anyone who helped cover up the perimeter if they help out. ;) And maybe teach scar how to do the area speaker thing if he doesn't know. It would be a great fit for public service announcements in Scarland.
that thumbnail really encompasses the feel of this episode, that huh, which just points to a feeling that "something is wrong! I can feel it!" yet, the landscape looks _completely_ normal hahaha, I loved this so much
I like how the hermits having a very awesome time together. Having wholesome conversations. Being proud of their work. Enjoyed working together. Then the work is covering your friends base with dirt

The funniest part is that if you watch Grian's perspective, you'll know that pretty much half of the entire server just silently teamed up and did this
Welcome back Doc, I love the fake out intro, especially where you introduced the fanart with "no clue" why you picked it. I know many of us knew what had happened and had flocked here to see your reaction, which is absolutely glorious (and is going to bring the fear of the GOAT to the rest of the server)

Imagine Docm coming back from his holiday with a simple message in the discord: "Hi all, I'm back." Must've given off a certain feeling to some hermits lol
If you are going to decorate the walls it shouldn’t be just a repeating pattern. I suggest a cityscape where the buildings are the height of the walls. I would have a decorative white boardwalk on the edge with vines and waterfalls falling onto the buildings. Large frescoes and balconies would look good too. 😊🎉
Dock I am so happy to see you being part, for the first time as a main character, to the hermitrcarft shenanigans. Every day you are creating more and more good and entertaining content, and maybe getting the credit you have deserved for years ❤
Doc and Ren chatting, the two total GOATs of the server! Ren's "Ren the King" storyline brought the whole server together and gave everyone so much content for months! Then Doc's war on the server brought everyone together again! This season has lacked in designing, building and other Minecraft "core content" to be sure, but these two have managed to make it one of the most entertaining seasons yet!
That was not even close to the grind of the season. Tango building the Decked Out 2 is and will for sure be the grind of the season and seasons to come!
Nominating 35:05 as for fanartists to take note of. Flying up through an explosion as the terraformed roof of the perimeter is chain-detonated by a fresh flying machine, Doc triumphantly soaring.

@@DaijDjanI was just about to comment the same thing. I went from watching 4 or 5 hermits to over half just because of the HCBBS, it would be really cool to see something like that but a mix of styles.
The entire server: Makes an enormous project that takes hours of hours of time
Doc: Lever goes boom
They literally said (Mumbo) that they knew Doc would just blow it all up in no time at all, but they were still going to do it for the sake of doing it. That's dedication to a prank. 😆
12:14 Doc finally saying shut up to himself is so poetic 😂😂😂
Doc: Rise and Grind
Grian: And I took that personally

Doc: Rise and Grind

Also Doc: No, not like that!
So nice seeing iskall coming back just for dirt after months of break.
Mad respect to every hermit -- though, of course, always the highest respect to the GOAT. ;)

Yeah like sometimes in Grians videos he flys around like LOOK AT EVERYONE THEIR BUILDS ARE COOL and he does that for like 5 minutes. I love it!
This!!!
It really is a shame you can’t have that underground city aesthetic they gave the perimeter, it actually looked really cool.
I was shocked by the first few seconds.
I'm glad to hear someone too still refere it as twitter.
As for me, I had to look forward a bit to get it xD
@@mr.boomguyliterally everyone does except Elon lol
Too tier intro!!!👏👏👏
doc... I'm so glad that grian and scar touched the jukebox
because if they hadn't, I never would have discovered you, and I never would have laughed myself into multiple asthma attacks because I was giggling so hard and so much at this WHOLE thing... thank you for the amazing laughs
your tower was effective... too effective. It attracted the entire server and collectively and instinctively, they started grinding
Doc on the Imp and Skizz podcast when? I want to hear him about inspiration getting out of hand
LOL! Doc is just *too inspirational* for his own good, ahaha.
Can we all just appreciate the timing at 7:28. The Doc-tator announcement "You could have done more" what would more look like. I'm laughing soo hard.
Filling in the perimeter all the way? That would be crazy xD
They could have put a big lake in the middle, making Doc have to clear the water too
More would have been that they build a city ontop
i've been looking for this comment lmao
he was responding to the announcement on purpose
The moment on his vacation when he found out his hard work had been covered must've been difficult. Just relaxing with the family plotting serious revenge on his friends.
Those announcements added fuel to the fire constantly. Hence why everyone was so motivated to do the grind. LOL!!!!
It worked so well it backfired spectacularly.
On a positive note. The speaches are so powerfull they even reached in vaults and brought Iskall back
Love how Doc introduce the thumbnail at the beginning, as if you never knew what it's meant to depict, as if it is like one of those visual prophecy that the protagonist discover of what might happen/foreshadowing the future.
Doc, this has possibly been the most anticipated video of Hermitcraft. The biggest unintentional mob farm in Minecraft history!
Right?!! I've been waiting at the end of my seat after seeing Scars video XD
Ever since Grian, Mumbo, and Scar posted their videos, I've been checking this channel every day to see Doc's reaction
and I can say that it was worth the wait, I was laughing throughout this video
GRAIN?!?
SAMEE i dont rlly watch doc but i just NEEDED his reaction 😋😋😋

Seeing each hermit do a pixel art mural would be super cool and I’m sure they’re enjoy learning a new aspect of the game! Just convince them to graffiti the perimeter 😂
as long as they dont put any quotes lol
@@bargen0w Oh you know if he gives them the chance the "Live Laugh Love" is making a return 😂
I would love to see that, imagine what Beef could do after creating that many card art xD
I mean idk, Doc is kinda asking for someone to graffiti his wall…
@@Aphelia.He needs a break first
Honestly, I get why Doc needs to remove the dirt. But when the world download comes out, I want a version with the lid still on.
“THE LID” I can’t man
i 100% need that world download
It is now dubbed “The Lid” I don’t care who disagrees!
immediately though it was a SpongeBob reference or something
Given how many Hermits it took to pull off this prank, I guess the "power of friendship" can actually defeat the villian!
Those announcements were both terrifying and awesome.
It was ten hermits working together for 14 hours
Ironically, Doc keeping Grian "in check", often leads to the most shenanigans
There's a reason Grian starting a war is a meme. In this case keeping him "in check" just means being the target of most of his shenanigans.
To be fair, when Doc and Grian (and Ren) did fully team up they were able to track down and take down the Jangler
And the second time they did, their team won the Turf War!
If it wasn't for the fact that it impacted Doc's farms I would've said to keep the new land. Might have to try this myself in my world. A completely innocent looking surface with a huge base underneath.
That's what I'm doing next time our realm resets...massive base inside and under a mountain.
@@Shad0wSabr3 Very nice.
I love how the intro starts with the Perimeter open and Doc is saying nothing is wrong, in a state of denial, and then Doc does an actual intro with the current state of the dark Perimeter, flabbergasted at what happened.
The PERFECT thumbnail for the perfect episode coming back into the world of chaos!
It was brilliant indeed, a bit buttercuppy in style.
Hermitcarft Season 10: Doc & Grian combo base = Chaos incarnate but the ultimate end to the server.
The countdown to see if it happens begins
I bet the backside of that base would be finished...
@@jameshogan1094 let's not go too far here now
@@jameshogan1094nah they would make a backless base so grian doesnt have to
@@antman9527It would be hilarious if Grian actually finishes it then doc pulls it down with a flying machine and pretends they had to reload the server to before he did it or something.
These comments just go to show some of the many reasons why I love the hermitcarft community :D
That is a genius strategy. Is hermitcraft becoming the next life series?
The best way to get the walls done is to offer up a "forgive and forget" to anyone who helped cover up the perimeter if they help out. ;)
And maybe teach scar how to do the area speaker thing if he doesn't know. It would be a great fit for public service announcements in Scarland.
challenging the whole server to out-grind Doc by building the walls and floor might work too. :)
that thumbnail really encompasses the feel of this episode, that huh, which just points to a feeling that "something is wrong! I can feel it!" yet, the landscape looks _completely_ normal hahaha, I loved this so much
I like how the hermits having a very awesome time together. Having wholesome conversations. Being proud of their work. Enjoyed working together. Then the work is covering your friends base with dirt
He should be glad that Etho wasn’t in charge, it would be solid dirt all the way down
I genuinely can't tell if Doc is annoyed, mad, sad, or laughing from how absurd this prank was
If he had continued on with never admitting he had been pranked, that would be the biggest prank on the audience and the buttercups lol 😂
True!
That would be a potentially good comeback, but Doc will also miss a massive opportunity to make entertaining content for himself and us, as the audience was excited to see his reaction to the prank.
That would be proper 1984 behavior, gaslight them into thinking the prank never happened. The truth is in the hands of the goat.
@@krogen1 The buttercups may be annoying, but they have a huge amount of subscribers that now all will come see this video to see his reaction. Massive Docmercial. (I started following Doc after his interactions with Grian and Mumbo before and I'm happy I did.
German hyper-efficiency and absolute focus makes you think Doc can't take a joke, but his easy-going acceptance of the efforts of lesser mortals makes him the G.O.A.T. Well played Sir, well played.
With what the gang of perimeter hole cover partakers did I wouldnt consider them lesser at this point
@@GayMothWhoIsUglyit took the entire server 21 hours combined work to cover the base....the. entire. Server. It took doc 7 hours to remove it. Alone. That's all I gotta say.
@@devil8975The 21 hours you mentioned proves their point
@@devil8975Yeah but that wasn’t the point of the prank. They pointed that out during their videos, it wasn’t to waste Doc’s time it was just to make it look like the Perimeter had disappeared and garner big reactions. And they definitely got that!
@@devil89758 or 9 people is t the entire server 😂
The funniest part is that if you watch Grian's perspective, you'll know that pretty much half of the entire server just silently teamed up and did this
I love that his motivational quotes are probably what gave them the drive to keep going on terraforming the place
Welcome back Doc, I love the fake out intro, especially where you introduced the fanart with "no clue" why you picked it.
I know many of us knew what had happened and had flocked here to see your reaction, which is absolutely glorious (and is going to bring the fear of the GOAT to the rest of the server)
This is why having rivalries in hermitcraft is great. So many people are watching doc now to see his reactions to these epic pranks
Leaving Doc speechless best and hardest thing to do on hermitcraft, well done you absolute madmen
We knew it was all a lie when Doc said he had a great vacation!
I love that it took 10 hermits 2 days to fill it in, and 1 flying machine from the hivemind hours to rip it back out 😂
THEY SHOULDVE USED FURNACES
Hell obsidian
Remember: All this started because Impulse, Scar, & Gem forced Grian to finish the back of his base.
So everything hapend becouse grian was lazy
No, it started because Mumbo is not good at ageing copper
Its kinda poetic with Doc's message saying everyone "Lives in the Goat's world" and what happens is everyone else bonds in pranking the Goat, in his own world.
Doc is one of the greatest gardeners of the server
Imagine Docm coming back from his holiday with a simple message in the discord: "Hi all, I'm back." Must've given off a certain feeling to some hermits lol
Would have been epic if you did the whole return episode as if nothing had happened. The socials would have blown up! :)
Frescoes of GOAT and DOC and scenes of great accomplishments.
I can see a Super Mario Brothers stage being laid out along the perimeter walls. Complete with the castle and flagpole
Yes!

10:22 I believe it was fun for them. Just the idea of spending hours with some of those amazing hermits chatting away and working on something sounds fun.
I'm sure it was annoying to deal with, but thank you for playing along Doc! Hermits helping Hermits is always my favorite moments of every season. It was a lot of fun to see them all come together to prank you with this massive project. It sure did look cool underground. Too bad mechanically it wrecked most of the farms. A massive underground super base is a cool idea.
