I saw John Hartford several times at Watermelon Park in VA with this band and solo. Thanks for posting this. I just found it! Brings back great memories.
Those Philly Folk Festivals were great. Lots of performers. Dave Van Ronk, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, David Bromberg, Arlo Guthrie, Frasier and Diebolt, Roselie Sorrels. Can't remember them all. Missed Fairport (crap) and New Riders Purple Sage. Pleanty of mud. It was canceled summer of 23 but is back for 24
I was there in 1970 and in 1971, so I can't be sure of the year. I was recording some sessions, but when John came on, my batteries were flat. (They only lasted two hours). So, thanks for posting this Tubbs.
This was the Saturday night concert. He did another set Sunday night with many of the same tunes... Here's my photo of the Sunday Set (which I also recorded.) facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1600754745347&set=a.1600714824349&type=3&theater
Thanks for uploading this! Would you please, (pretty please) consider uploading a lossless copy of this audio to thespps.org where they archive John Hartford's live performances? You would be my hero.

Thank you for uploading this. I saw John Hartford live just once, it was GREAT!
Natural To Be Gone is incredible. Thanks for this upload. I love Hartford's late 1960s records.
Think I was there, but since it was 44 years ago, I can't quite remember.
Ann Pace I was born in 85 and I still think I was there.

Yeah, I have since gone to the bt.etree.org (bittorrent) page for this show and requested a reseed because no one was seeding it.

I think that he had the Areoplane band in 71. I was there for both performances and he was phenomenal.
