Those Philly Folk Festivals were great. Lots of performers. Dave Van Ronk, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, David Bromberg, Arlo Guthrie, Frasier and Diebolt, Roselie Sorrels. Can't remember them all. Missed Fairport (crap) and New Riders Purple Sage. Pleanty of mud. It was canceled summer of 23 but is back for 24

Have loved the song since first hearing it ca 1971-72 on the album Garcia. I especially like the lyric "Small wheel turn by the fire and rod/Big wheel turn by the grace of God." R. Hunter at his finest. This reggae version is wonderful, as is Joe Higgs' reggae version of "Uncle John's Band," the song which is #1 on my Alltime Top 10.
