I introduce you to my 5th hand - grown now during isolation, I name him Hands Zimmer. Ever since the video of Bach's Toccata and Fugue, I've been getting non-stop requests to play the Interstellar theme with this organ sound - the most out of any piece this year. In true isolation spirit I spent way to long messing around with the video effects and audio production here, doing a lot of experimenting, but everything you see and hear was created from scratch. In general, as fun as they are to play, I want to leave all of the film score covers to the amazing Patrik Pietschmann - he is the expert with those. I'm sure most of you are familiar with him, but if not (check the link in description, his is hands down the best solo piano arrangement of the Interstellar theme) and you want to see more film score covers in this format, his channel is the place to go! I hope you're all in good health and have a safe month this month ♥
No joke, Interstellar was one of the first movies that made me cry for real. Like seriously, it was made perfectly. The story line, the music, the characters, the RESOLUTION, the protagonist, the antagonist, the side characters, all of it hits me as hard as nostalgia, and that thing hits me as hard as a sports car going over 100 mph. It’s interesting how Zimmer was able to include a ticking clock method into this song. With the beat being 60 beats per minutes/bpm which is the amount of seconds in a minute. In actuality, it’s a beat that represents time moving on.
What's even cooler is that when this masterpiece start at the wave scene, it start slower than actual seconds and then when the wave appears, it gets to the actual 60 BPM and that's when it just transcend you completely like holy shi-
There is something really clever about this soundtrack, specifically in Hans Zimmer's use of rhythm and time. Notice at 2:10, the piece is 60bpm, which means there is a beat exactly every 1 second, just like a clock. The part where it gets extra crazy is where the characters themselves experience time dialation in the movie - Hans changes this rhythmic clock to match, in mathematical precision. I'll let you guys explore further, but this whole soundtrack is a masterpiece both in the musical experience and in its craftsmanship.
I've watched it on my phone with a headset and I can't describe the experience, and I can't imagine the same experience when watching it for the first time in 2014 in a theater with a bunch of people, some of them crying, and some others are joking because they didn't get the story. For those wondering how the cooper station works, have you ever tried putting something in a bag and then started spinning at high speed and holding the bag at a 90 degree angle? The stuff inside the box doesn’t fall out even if the bag is open on ur side, the stuff in it remains on the opposite side, creating artificial gravity. Similarly, the cooper station is like a cylinder than spins at a constant speed, pulling things to the side and thus- creating artificial gravity for the survival... Good day!

Actually its a 51 year movie, including time dilation 😉
Interstellar music always gives you the train of hope. But you never seem to be able to catch it in time
No one:
Hans Zimmer: In music, you're basically having a conversation.
It's true though.
That must be a very speedy conversation, I mean look dem hands!

Good day!

this damn movie NEEDS to be put in theaters one more time!! its a pure masterpiece!!!!
Fans: this needs to be re-released in theaters.
Movie Makers: its Impossible
Fans: No, its necessary
YES. If they put it back in theaters they would make so much money anyways and fans would love it. It's a win win
They are in my city!!! But I’m going to the re release of inception next weekend in IMAX!!!
Briana Rudy yeah I just saw inception today, it was for the 10th anniversary so maybe in 2024 they'll rerelease interstellar
I've never seen it, is it really that good?
Luis it’s amazing. if you watch it have some tissues ready because you might cry. it’s that good.
This is what id imagine space would sound like and you literally made it perfect

@@samdecoover9351 The track you are taking about is "Stay", "S.T.A.Y." is from the 4th dimesional black hole shelves scene
I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but the falling piano keys kinda look like the event horizon of the black hole and the stretched out bookcases where Cooper was in the 5th dimension. This was awesome btw! 👍
Yup you're right
Man I felt that too
Exactly
exactly what I was about to say

I was listening to the video and read your comment. It gave me goosebumps 💯.
You get my respect friend, the most respect.
Where did you learn the dialogue? They don't show the movie in theaters anymore, and you should give credit if you got the dialogue from another youtube video.
I feel like the interstellar theme especially done on piano is like the anthem for the entire Earth.

Great work Rousseau !❤️
Hans Zimmer has an endless catalog of great music. To me his work on Interstellar is the best he has ever written. It evokes such emotion. Six years later it still gives me chills and makes me tear up every time I hear it.
You know that he doesn't do it alone, but that there is a huge team behind it? He doesn't compose everything himself.
I was like, “I could do that...”
Then all of a sudden 4 hands come out.
And then 5 😭😭
And you realize you dont have any friends
You can do it on an actual organ using the pedals
no one can do this with one hand
idk
I actually self-taught myself Interstellar. it was the first song I learned when I first got my piano. No lessons, no references. I come here, to find out that you're doing the EXACT movements I did. Kudos.
