I did all as in this video. But my two children and my wife still cannot see any of the movies that I purchased. Very sometimes it appears on her iPhone, but never on her iPad or iMac. My children never got to see any movies on their iPads, iPod Touch, iPhone and MacBook Air.. iCloud storage yes, but not Apple TV.
My mother doesn't own an Apple device, and this seems to be a major problem in trying to share Apple TV with her: 1. She created an Apple ID. That's all set and activated. 2. Then I invited her to Family Sharing, and she accepted. Nothing wrong there. She shows on my Apple account as a family member. 3. But when she tries to sign into the "Apple TV App" on her Roku device, it won't let her sign in unless she enters the 6-digit two-factor authentication number that was sent to HER DEVICES. Well she obviously can't get the passcode because she does not own an Apple device. And there is no link from that screen to say, "Didn't receive authentication number. Send via text." It just gets stuck on that screen until I enter a made up number to fail the authentication to force us out of that screen. 4. Next we tried disabling two-factor authentication for her Apple ID, but as of 2021, Apple doesn't allow two-factor to be turned off, so we can't bypass it that way. 5. We also tried to change her two-factor method from sending to a device to sending via text message, but Apple doesn't allow that either. The only default is to send the authorization number to an Apple device. This is so frustrating. Really Apple? Someone on a family plan has to OWN one of your devices to get this set up in the first place? This is so wrong. I appreciate this video and the tips provided. If there are any new / updated tips you have for Android users on family plans trying to get things working, I would be grateful. :)

It's so easy to add family members/friends to your subscription on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+ but for Apple TV+ they want you to run through hoops if you don't have an Apple device. What fucking garbage.

No one in my family has Apple product but we have apple plus on our tvs. So I'm trying to have folks have separate accounts so we're not all trying to watch the same thing. How do I set up family sharing if I do not own any Apple product? I see it when I log in on the web but I can't add anything on family sharing options.

Now I browsed through some movies, to watch my first, and next to each movie there are 2 prices. A "rent" price and a "buy" price.... Seems like the only way i can watch these movies is if i click on one of the 2 PRICE OPTIONS.... So it doesn't seem like it's free at all.. I do not want to buy/rent ANYTHING. I thought it was free... Anyone know what's the deal here?
The movies and shows that are outside of Apple TV + have nothing to do with Apple TV + subscription. Those are things you can purchase separate. If you actually watched the video - you would see exactly what you get with the Apple TV + subscription

The movies I am talking about i found WITHIN the apple tv app. Now i consider (and sure most people will agree with me) that NOTHING that's found WITHIN a specific app - such as apple tv app - can be considered as "having nothing to do with" the app, nor being "outside the app"... On the contrary, the most LOGICAL assumption is that EVERYTHING that's accessible from inside the app IS the app's offering. So, if someone pays a subscription, or a very expensive phone that includes a subscription IN ITS PURCHASE PRICE, they should have access to everything inside it, with nothing more to pay. So to cut a long story short, if all apple is offering as a promotional, or directly-payable, subscription is a bunch of movies that no one wants to watch, and any movie INSIDE the app that's worth watching is NOT free and each one costs as much as a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION of Netflix; I wish them good luck with penetrating the movies market lol. :P

Apparently, Apple doesn't let you share subscription unless you and the account holder are within the same country. In my case, my brother was in the US while I was in another country (i saw that on an apple forum). As soon as I changed my location to the US, I was able to access apple TV+ instantly. So if it's the same for you, maybe try that.

I don't have apple device...have sony a80j TV and on settings I don't get option to add profiles.
