15 Hp Tohatsu 4 stroke short shaft
25 Hp Mercury 4 stroke short shaft
25 Hp Yamaha 2 stroke Long shaft
I know I am late but as soon as I saw Potcake I was like there is a Bahamian somewhere. Then bam, one of my fellow countrymen popped up. Great stuff, I love your content.

Hi Michael, thank you for your question. I had an unfortunate mishap back in late September and lost everything I own including computer/ hard drives / camera equipment. And with it lost years of footage / builds/ experiences. It’s been a bit of a struggle to get air back in my sails after loosing things I put so much into, but I’m back… motivated and inspired to continue sharing and building for you guys. Cheers !
Whats the tiller setup on the yamaha 30? Looks like an Evinrude etech big tiller adapted to it?
Haha. Good eye! Yes, it’s an etec tiller I custom made an adapter for. It worked well! Cheers!

This just proves I’m not the only one who nuts , we did this about 20 yrs ago on a fly in up north with some 14’ alum boats and 15 hp motors , it was a good time we still talk about it when we get together, ( I really liked the invisible life jackets!)👍🏼

What motor will the Pottcake have in it's final form? Let's see a video with the 70.
Pottcake ran the 70 Hp OMC in skiff form , and currently is undergoing some sweet mods and will be running a newer 4 stroke. Stay tuned for updates! Cheers

Been binge watching your vids last couple days. The J 12 micro was very cool. Wish you would revisit IE side view drawings of same on J 14 and 16 showing cut line distance from gunnel. Discuss your thinking the possibilities pro/con of the longer skiffs with same lines. Thanks for the content.

I 10000% know the same exact build on a j14 or j16 would provide an even better platform and performance. Especially holeshot / shallow water stern drop. The j12 was just a little too short for my overall wants in a skiff. It worked incredibly overall, and was sn absolute blast, but in a perfect world I’d go with the longer j14/16. I’ve been waiting to find a good 14/16 donor and will be building another as soon as I do! Cheers!

Yes! Haha. Cool thing about mercury is the motors have steering and throttle locks 💪🏼
Just looking at it before it was out on the water, first thing came to mind - sketchiest thing ever.

@@diywaterworld Can these old Yami 2-strokes still be found? I can find lots of great old Johnson/Evinrude 2-stroke, but these late model Yami's (like the Enduro models) are rarer than hen's teeth, it seems. Cheers!
