- Hank Iroz and Iroz Motorsport have long been the ones to push this platform faster and faster and faster over the past couple of years. Through Hank's journey with his own RS3 and through his months and months of R&D he and Syvecs present this phenomenal AWD controller. This device replaces your OEM Haldex controller and pushes the level of traction you are able to obtain to a whole new level.
In this video I show you a very quick install as well as a bunch of testing to show you all just how effective this device is. It provides tremendous gains in both 0-60mph times as well as 60ft times.

@@VancityAudi hey Adam I’m having issues with mine TTE700 car stock motor but upgraded sensors and fuel pump e85 on stock setting mine just spins the tires while driving not from a stop if I mash it spins about 80-90 mph. Then if I turn it up more that stops. Issue is launch new PS4 tires 35 psi in them spins all over can’t get out of the hole and is causing my car not to want to shift. I turned up controller more got out of hole it felt better less spin but was slower I’m at a loss. Race coming up next weekend might throw my slicks on and test if it doesn’t rain. Thoughts?

No, I don't use any 034 parts other than my springs which I will be replacing eventually as well.
Nice video Adam. I wonder how this work on track not only on drag strips. Do you know if the driving dynamics have been changed as well? 😊 👍
I honestly don't. Seeing as my car is a purpose built drag car I'm not sure how it will affect the driving dynamics besides going in a straight line.

Thanks! No sir! All you need is this Syvecs AWD controller. It replaces your haldex controller as shown in the video. I am still using the OEM ECU.
No you don’t
@@stevenroseren9300 Please xplain?
Billy Joe it still utilized the factory ECU I just ordered mine through EURO-CODE which works with IROZ. These are 2 entirely different systems one is a ECU and one is a system that detects how torque is divided , with the OEM unit you can’t adjust the torque spilt , this controller bypasses that issue by replacing the factory unit with the Syvecs controller. This has nothing to do with the ECU the factory ECU is responsible for numerous things. To answer your question you don’t need a Syvecs ECU to run a Syvecs Halidex controller. You also don’t need a tune to install this just like Adam said in his video it’s plug and play that’s it. Not everybody is going to able to spend 5 or 6 grand on a ECU like Syvecs not that it would be nice lol hope that answers your question , any other questions feel free to ask I have the same platform except it’s a 2019 TTRS stage 2 Unitronics E85
Does this happen to work for the 7 and 7.5 golf R haldex? Hear Wavetrack or some other company has created a LSD for the haldex wondering if that is what you mentioned about having an upgraded LSD or is the LSD upgrad for the DQ500 DSG in your RS3’s transmission instead? Appreciated
Here ya go! ruclips.net/video/ybuoTYBNbxs/видео.html
15:51 that bird said "GO!"
😂
This is dope, how do you think this would do in roll racing as opposed to launching? advantages or disadvantages?
Not too sure honestly. I imagine when you roll race you already have enough momentum that you aren't breaking traction unless you have huge power. If you do make huge power then I guess this would help. I don't roll race so I wouldn't know. Sorry dude
nice demo ;) ...be aware to have dialed in the controller more than stock when you are in turns/corners because you put much more stress to bewelbox and haldex clutch
Could you elaborate please?
I'm not so sure.. in VCDS you can change the haldex engagement to a couple levels. Since Haldex can never be more than simply fully locked up, if you set the traction to max, should be the same ya?
No. The changes in VCDS are nowhere near what this device enables you to do.
I have been trying to find information in regards to the RS3 Haldex settings via driver select, can this car set to 50/50 all time during snowy conditions or does the car not allow for something like this? Everyone knows driving on snow and ice 50/50 is the best.... “cough cough” SUBARU AWD
These haldex AWD systems don't work like that sadly. It isn't a true 50/50 split of power all the time. It drives around mainly in FWD only unless you require some additional traction in the rear and then the rears get more power.
does the e-brake still work like normal or is it in fwd everytime your e-brake is on? also did your tune remove the dsg farts?
Every time you turn on your e-brake it turns on FWD only. My car hasn't really ever had DSG farts.
Great video! Do you think you can now power slide the car with this installed ? Not a true drift but do you think you could do it with it turned all the way up ?
Absolutely zero idea, sorry. I only use my RS3 for drag racing.
Hey Adam another great video. I'm struggling for traction big time, I'm stage 3 tte700 95oct on PS4S and I'm literally spinning big time in first and second. I'm thinking just going with a better semi slick street tyre or would you think this haldex controller is even better option
First things first, get yourself a proper set of tires. PS4S are great all around tires but they aren't meant for drag racing or achieving solid launch times. If you want to by-pass the proper tires for launching a car effectively, the Syvecs haldex controller does one hell of a good job sending power to the rears to get a much more effective launch.
@@VancityAudi thanks so I will start with a better tyre that can do better both on the street and drag, was thinking of these two options: Tproxes R888R and Michelin Cup 2. Any thoughts?
@@gtrsfk9001 neither of those tires are meant for drag racing. They are both designed for circuit racing. If you want to simply improve your launches you'll be looking for a drag radial. I know you don't want to hear it, but there is no tire that does it all. You're either going to focus on a tire that will help your launching or help your cornering and grip. I used an RE71R when I wanted best of both worlds but that still isn't a drag tire.
@@VancityAudi some good points Adam. I guess I'm really looking for a street tyre that will just give me better traction from a dig than the PS4S but can also daily with (no rain here). I reckon I'll need to bite the bullet and go with some 18s and drag radials for when I hit the drag.
@@gtrsfk9001 if you opt for 18's as your daily tire and strap on some RE71R's that would do well for you. The more sidewall, the more flex, the better for launching and they'd still do well for you on the street. You just won't get a ton of mileage on them
At the track did you use maxed rear power or a bit less to get the best results?
Max at the track
Any chance on a rear burnout before the front burnout, then launch? Just wondering if having all 4 hot would make a difference?
A haldex unit can not put more than 50% of the power to the rears. As much as the unit can be turned up to 100, you still aren't putting more than 50% of the total torque to the rear tires. Maybe down the road they will figure it out, but for now I don't believe that is possible.
@@VancityAudi I figured as much. Was just hoping that they had figured out a way around it. Thanks.
Also really wondering how this will affect it's handling and corning considering
That I won't be able to help with sadly seeing as my RS3 is specifically built and used for drag racing.
Great video, did you try this on corners?it make more oversteer?
I did not. I'm exclusively using this device for drag racing. Nothing more.
Would it work with the FRONT OPEN differential or it only works with the LSD?
Works with 100% stock vehicles as well.
💪
Mine came with the updated spring, but I did not notice that if you replaced tot he upgraded spring? And if it is needed or not?
We installed that at 2:06 of the video. It is mandatory.
Nice demo. Will the device be availed for the A3? I only run 0-60 in 4 flat on pump gas. Getting into a 3.9 is a personal goal.

What do you have done to ur A3 that makes u do 4 flat

Turbo muffler delete, I run 93 octane and boostane fuel additive to hit the magic # 100 octane. Thanks for sharing great contents. I would recommend you to review the Haldex controller from Van Der Engineering. That would be interesting, as you can see the numbers live on your phone.
Why would I spend money on another haldex controller when the one I'm using is already working amazingly well for me?
@@VancityAudi
Because it is plug and play, Bluetooth control with phone, no knob feeling, shows all torque splits live for both stock and custom. They probably would supply you with one for review based on your successful RUclips popularity.

Hi Adam, you never mentioned about the valve upgrade, is that necessary in order to use this unit?
The upgraded valve comes with the unit when you order it.
@@VancityAudi great in this case, hopefully there’s not a lot of labour involved in changing it, very good videos I really like your content, keep the good work much appreciated

how does it handle bends with the different dynamics? Does it oversteer?

When I can afford it I'll be tossing in an LSD into the rear.

I still use this exact same process when I race: ruclips.net/video/-yITpLYLrHY/видео.html
Stock is up to 50% to the rear? Wonder if it is compatible with golf r.
Stock claims that, but it really isn't. The controller turned to full is a proper 50/50 split in power
Iroz has said it does work with the Golf R and Audi S3 as well.
Researching RS3, TTRS, Iroz for a track car to do road race events….circuit track. Curious if you have any experience doing this style of driving with the platform? Or, if you know of any suspension go-to experts to get the ‘17-‘19 platform to work on track.

@@shiftsgiggles962no problemo. Good luck!
So in summary, dial to the right is more power to the rear, to the left makes it 100% FWD?
I honestly am not sure what it does when it is all the way to the left besides roasting my rear tire. If it was 100% FWD all the way to the left then I would have simply done a FWD burnout if that was the case. Instead I did a single rear tire burnout.

1,050 USD I believe
It probably works for the Golf R too, right?
As mentioned in other comments, yes, we have been told that it will
do u need wavetrac and syvecs or could u just run syvecs?
You can run the Syvecs device by itself, but for optimum traction you'd want a front & rear wavetrac as well
Does it mean you can drift the car now? My only reservation with the car is the inability to drift. It sounds like you can drift the car now with this turn to 50% or more.
No, you still can't drift the car. At this present time the maximum amount of power you get to the rears is 50% of the total power output due to the limitations of the haldex unit. I failed at explaining that. I have been told though that Syvecs is working on a possible drift mode in the future for these cars. My guess would be they are working on lowering the front wheels power output while still retaining that 50% to the rear wheels.

Are you going to paint the cage?

Is full tilt to the rear, is it 100% power to rear?
No. Haldex units will still always have power going to the front as well. It simply diverts more of the available torque to the rear tires but not all of it.
@@VancityAudi so just more or less locks the center diff to be 100/100 or 50/50 same power front to back
@@patpaul218 no, there is no locking. It simply puts more torque to the rears off launch, but then as you accelerate it's still programmed as a stock haldex where it slowly rolls back into FWD. It is tunable though to your own preferred style once you get the software.

Yes, I am aware of that controller. It doesn't do what the Syvecs controller does. This is an inferior version that people thought worked before Syvecs released theirs. Now there is no point in spending your money on this when the Syvecs unit exists.
Time for a rear LSD.
100%
Too bad the only option is some dude in europe and it's like $5k and over a month turn around. We need a USA group buy!
worse than stock ? better than stock ? those are not technical terms..lol how about torque split number? does it do more than the dreaded 50/50 ?
At the time that I made this video (which was years ago now), very little was known about these controllers. There were zero technical terms available to the public.
As for torque split numbers, I have no idea. If I had to guess, it is capable of sending roughly 70-80% of the available torque to the rear wheels when it is at the max level.
@@VancityAudi so you still dont know.? .some controllers at 'zero' can be 100% Fwd but all of them are at the most 50% to the rears. because of the design of Haldex....thats what i found out in a week so far. syvecs keeps that quiet because thats not good news if you like sideways driving of any kind .
@shangee tibodo no, I still don't know or I would have told you in my last comment. I have not updated the software and have not tinkered with it at all. I've never cared to learn more because it works extremely well for me on track at full power. Seeing as I only drag race the car now, nothing else has really mattered to me.
Found it
too bad it didn't have a markers or even for where you are or percentage or something.
As I state in the video you can feel the tension on the device build at the stock position and at around the 80-90% position
Also can you do solely rwd
No, the device can only increase the duty cycle of the haldex device which has to have the front wheels being driven as well as the rears. You can't disengage the front wheels from having power sent to them.
@@VancityAudi can you make it rear wheel bias instead of front wheel?
@@halomaster1244 no, it will always be FWD biased. This just simply allows you to send much more torque to the rears than the OEM system does.
