Before I started following your channel, I would have said that ‘Order’ was my favourite. However, after watching so many of your videos of your improv method, I love ‘Chaos’. I usually try to multitask when watching quilting videos-working on my own quilts, doing housework, and laundry-however, I cannot do this with your ciders. I don’t want to miss any of your creative process. Thanks for THAT! 😂🤣😂 Take care, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I also love a hand tied quilt. People get hung up on ranking quilting styles and methods, and it isn't about being critical of someone else's quilt, it's about loving your own! All quilts are valid!
Hi Dave, Love your creative mind and fearlessness when quilting. All of your quilts have been Daveified and they are truly original masterpieces. It inspires me to not overthink things when quilting and just go for it. Creativity needs room to work. Cheers
Also… I was going to make a quilt for my grandson, this Christmas and you tie method is such a good idea. The method allows the quilt to flow and snuggle him 🤗 And I can make the shape’s random.💙❤️💚 Im in tears, uv allowed me to feel I can do that. 🤗 👋🏻 🫶
Hi Dave, I love when Tuesday comes around so I can watch your video. What a Fun video❣️ Every one of your videos is so much fun and you have fun friends, too. Your fabrics turned out so cool and so did both quilts. I agree on what matters, is that you like it. I love what you and your friends created. I hope you have a really great week, sorry about the batting mishap. Thank You So Much For Sharing Your Talent❣️ Great Job With Both❣️👍 Chris
Loved the tie dye effect on the quilts. It was so creative. I made myself a small quilt to cover my legs some time back and gave it to my daughter to use for our grandchild aka Toddler Tornado. Well I used the tie method combined with buttons to tie the quilt. Toddler Tornado promptly started twisting the buttons off. He disposed of 2 buttons. We could only find the one. We still laugh about it even now.
Both quilts are BEAUTIFUL but Chaos is my favorite!! I use crochet thread to tie my quilts. I make tshirt quilts for people and have saved lots of tie-dyed pieces because I want to make a stained glass quilt with them. I think you should start your own line of tie-dyed fabric!!
Love the chaos one. I have tied many a quilt for charity donations. The rule is to have 5” or less between each tie in order to keep the layers together when being washed. U can do closer if u want but not more than 5”. Also for extra durability, we put the tie through the layers twice and then tie it closed.
Beautiful job. You put so much time in to this project, I’m sure. Time is so precious, so when somebody spends theirs making something, it is especially meaningful. Hope your friend loved the quilt you gifted her. ❤
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and giving inspiration to those of us who are beginning this quilting journey. You hit it out of the park again! Love love love your style.
Yes that pattern is called Cupola Views by Karen Nyberg and Sarah Ruiz, pattern is available on website and I have a video where I make that as well 😜👨🏻
Hi Dave great job on both quilts 👍Quick question, I noticed that you always use check flannel for the back of your quilts, its that regular 45" wide that you seam together or it is wider?
I think you could start working towards a book - 100 quilts by Dave. No patterns or instructions, just full page photos and a brief comment on the quilt.
Thank you Dave! I love my quilt and use it DAILY. And yes this released on my birthday! 🎉🥰
yasssss happy birthday Emma ! 😜
Awesome to know that you enjoy the quilt Emma! 🎉
So, Dave: you made Chaos out of Order? It’s so YOU!!! 😀😀😀

Ughhh, why do I not have a Dave friend in my life? I need someone to do weird artsy stuff with.
I’ve never seen another quilt like this. What a fantastic idea! 👍💜

Love the way Order showcases the great designs. A lot of work went into making those squares. Enjoy your videos. Fun to see you creating with friends.

Good work. I can’t wrap my brain around how much time this actually took.
Wonderful. What a generous friend you are!
Love how they turned out. I always use embroidery floss when I tie a quilt. It is not a quick process. Thanks for sharing.
The fabric you made is gorgeous and I love how the two quilts really showcased them!

Like them both, but chaos better. What does that say about me? Also really like the quilt on the wall. Do you have a pattern for that one?
Yes that pattern is called Cupola Views by Karen Nyberg and Sarah Ruiz, pattern is available on website and I have a video where I make that as well 😜👨🏻

I seam it together... I would prefer to use wider although it's not that easy to find :-/
😀

Order looks like it could be a Jerry Garcia T-shirt quilt....
