My second favorite part of the quilting process is hand stitching the binding down. My FIRST favorite part is the playing-with-my-fabric-decision-making part: auditioning fabrics, doing the arithmetic, making choices. One of my favorite things about your videos is that you share that decision-making process with us-so I get to do my favorite part vicariously through you! SO much fun!! And I don’t have to clean up after you!! LOVE your process, Dave!
Music was so soothing. Great idea on making something useful out of favorite old sweatshirts. I guess thrift shops would be a great place to get material (sweat/tshirts) if you didn't have a stash. Lovely quilt (as always). Thanks for sharing your craft, ❤ your videos!
Love this….. I’m making one with Mickey Mouse sweaters…. lol! It’s good to see how it works without batting but I might use thin batting because it’s cold here!
always enjoy your thought processes. Love the quilt. I'm sure it will be warm. If we know ahead of time some of your plans for quilts, I'm sure that there are some subscribers that would help you out with fabric, shirts, etc. if you are willing to share your mailing address. Creativity can get expensive. Looking forward to more creations. Love to see you think "outside the box".
Hi Dave, I’d like to try dying the fabrics mostly because you get some really interesting shapes. Your projects always turn out really good so that gives me hope for similar results! Have a good week, 👍 Chris
Brenda sent me from Conquering Mount Scrape-More. Wonderful idea. That is a huge quilt. It has to be heavy; but, all of us who love to wear sweats know this is going to be comfortable, warm, and wonderful. It is an interesting, beautiful, and very manly quilt. I'm glad I listened to Brenda. Thank you.
My first thought is to tie this quilt. This is a cozy perfect quilt. As much sweats as I have worn, never cut one up for a quilt! I eventually cut them up for cleaning rags. Darn! I will check last winter's stash.
How much time does it take for you to make a quilt? When I make mine it takes forever, and it looks like you make yours in two afternoons :D Love your works, greetings from Poland! :)
Your humor kills me! 😂 "I'm not to worried about it, it's only a blanket!"
Who wouldn't want to cuddle up on the sofa with a big sweatshirt quilt? Absolutely love it!

That quilt is absolutely gorgeous. ❤
Another great quilt. Thanks for the inspitation
I love it that you use fleece blankets because the fabric store is closed. Fabulous improvisation!
I really love this, even the music❤️
This is gorgeous. It makes me want to create an entire quilt out of tie dye and bleached fabric.
I love your fearlessness when using unusual materials! Of course it's only a blanket! Why didn't I think of that??
I enjoy the photo of your dad enjoying his quilt 👍
Great job Dave😊
Loved the quilt and the music.
My brother love the wolf quilt ❤

Hi Dave 😊 great quilt! How many strands of embroidery floss did you use for the quilting? Thanks for sharing!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Really nice my nephew wants a Tiger quilt so could try something similar. Why hand sew outline? Would it be too hard on machine stretch out of place?
I just like hand quilting :P I could have used the machine too 👨🏻

it depends but usually about a week, I work on them mostly on the weekends
