I have found that when I have an extra long cable, I run it over to the opposite side and hold it with a zip tie. Then over to the correct side. Gets it out of the way.
That longer cable may be for a tecumseh engine. I usually start on top because you need to lift cable straight up to attach it. If attached on bottom may be short then. Tecumseh cable on right

Tommy, I am usually out of or can't find my zip ties when I need them so I just use several turns of electrical tape to secure cables.
little bondo and paint and that toro will look just right

And they say that ya can't teach an old dog new tricks !
Was waiting on you Tommy 😊
I know you're Zip Tie Certified, just zip tie that cable down!!
That cable has to be able to float, can't be zip tied. It moves up and down when the personal pace is pushed and released.
thank you.
Hard to believe how people can junk out a mower and destroy it 😢😢😢
No common sense period or desire to learn 😢😢
This might just be the worst engine Briggs ever made.
I have a extra one of those engines for when needed
