When I was a kid I had toy cars you would put in the freezer and it would change colour, and in your hands it would change to its original colour...the paint does exist but it's the application on a real car is trickier....i just gave someone with lots if money the idea, I will request my share ;)
Our hotwheel cars use to change colour with cold and warm temperatures it changes and it is the mixture that makes the colour if I'm not mistaken orange and red makes blue..can google to see it just an example so if it's cold it will be orange and red n warm it will be blue
Could you put it on a thin piece of glass and not be able to tell that the product has been applied and when you apply electricity it turns a solid red, and do that to 2 other panes of glass for green and blue, And then stack them panes of glass on top of each other and when they are NOT powered will it look like a regular window, and then you have the capacity to mix the colors to create other colors?
I think you can change the color of the car if you paint it with that material which when it's cold has a color and when it's warm has another color, but you need to install something on car to heat up all the conponents. And maybe in the sun you will cannot change the color because you will cannot cool down car's components.
So, you could technically spray anything with LUMILOR and make it glow on demand? Stuff like PCs, Bikes, Walls or Consoles? That's insane. Does it also work on costumes/cosplays? That would open up millions of possibilities.
Just curious... Let's say that i found a way to combined the art of magic the art of illusion put it to car and made look like a color changing... Would you buy it?
Seeing how color changing paints react to specific temperatures it is plausible to add a control surface beneath such paint. With careful manipulation of heating or cooling elements it would be possible to re-create the Paramagnetic Paint illusion via computer controlled control elements. Not too different than what Lumilor does with its EL-like technology.
@@daviongiles1827 I had those too. Also had pin back buttons, mugs, T-Shirts with temperature sensitive inks. One other thing that can be cool to play with are temperature sensitive liquid crystal paints and flexible films. The same sort of color changing films that are used to make thermometer strips that change colors across a specific range of temperatures but are manufactured to whatever size you require. Try looking for "color changing thermochromic" in whatever form you need.
Well Lumilor does have legit competition from Electroluminescent light conduits / fiber optics. As well as EL tape which can be mixed with EL fiber to create unique animation panels. In face a company sold EL window treatments that allowed people to play video on one side of the glass while the people on the other side saw none of the video. What they saw was normal life through the video glass. Now go a step further with OLEDs which can be shaped to the contours of any object. You're now cruising in a car sized and shaped video array (or wall) with the capabilities of near infinite PIP (Picture In Picture) which lends itself to fractal video art in the sense that the Googol PIP is itself a fractal video array set onto a mobile platform (the car).
I don’t get how you managed to get letter light up under the green color on that bumper? Or you can just cover the lumilor sandwich with any color and it will shine thru.?
I need a stock camry that can change colors,a james bond style license plate changer and electrochromatic tinting on the windows. That'd be the perfect car to sneak around in haha
Auto paint companies had "Hypercolor" thermoluminescent paints back in the late '80's or early '90's. They were based on the nano-pigments used in hypercolor t-shirts of the mid '80's and mood rings of the late '70's.
I need this on the back of my Del Sol. Have the "Back Off" sticker glow, have the "Hell Sol" emblem glow. I am not trying to be rice, but I thought that would be badass.
Hello, I was trying to get a hold of you guys to paint my Maserati! Are you guys in LA or Vegas? I’m trying to get a cost of what it is and what could be done ;) thanks
I saw a car driving on the 15 yesterday morning and the color of it was changing. It went from Purple to Turquoise to Green and on... no light. I don't know how it happened, but what your selling wasn't anything like what I saw.
Hi I’ve been trying to figure out how to change your cars paint into different colors by the touch of a button i would like to know more about your product maybe i can get a idea for you to make it even better ignore me if you think im over my head
I wish you all made the entry level into using this paint a lot easier. I believe I have the most technological bike in the midwest and this was the last add on I wanted to do.. but the entry was too high.
I am working on creating the effect using super flexible El Panel underneath vinyl wrap. Costs are $100 compared to 5. I'll share my results. Once I sell a few of my light kits I'll loop back around and invest into this paint.
Bruh I searched up how it works because I saw someone with a car that changed colors based on the sunlight. It changed between blue, green, and purple. It’s a BMW, not sure what type though.
that 350z hood is bad ass. Might throw some lumilor on my bike. The fake videos was actually amazing marketing for you guys lol, when we realized it was fake we came to your channel and wanted tron cars lol.
Doubtful, materials like that have a tendency to "gas off" and cause adhesion issues. What end use? Might be possible to apply it to vinyl and then apply to the EF.
They’re is color changing paint it’s based off heat so the people who have cars that change color when water is added or when it’s hot that paint is real
It is possible to create such a thing you do realise. They have already, but it is not as vibrant as shown and wont be for another few years. These videos are fake but that doesnt mean you likely wont see it in the future on public transport and other forms of transportation.
I'd imagine if paramagnetic paint was a real thing police and law enforcement would ban it before it made it to market. Could you imagine the level of grand theft and people evading helicopter-less police agencies after high speed chases???
Science says, that's not as stabil as it sounds. To many % good experiences and to few bad ones, seem to hold better.. Humans/the things we do for love...
Hey David, the mystichrome reflects light as different colors so yes, technically the color you see changes but the paint itself is not changing colors, and it is dependent on the light and is not controllable. Paramagnetic paint implies that it is controllable color changing where you can click a button and automatically change the actual color of the paint.
bla, bla, bla ... Electron Paramagnetic Resonance in AlGaN ... - I guess possible theire are a lot of shops for this paint, not cheap, but fun - I guess, don´t forget to watch the video how to apply !

Yes, but fabrics and rough porous surfaces can't be lit. Anything else, yeah pretty much.

What about the temperature color changing paint? Like mood rings and such.

What about nanotechnology? You can implement tiny lights that can become many colors?
I reckon it is fake. But I am not going to take the word of a guy whose business is SELLING OTHER PAINT!!
So do some research? He's right.
Im pretty sure you can get paint that changes color depending on temperature
Yeah hot water can change the color to show other designs underneath. It's heat sensitive paint.
So it’s just a light. 💡
Oh Mr. Edison are you watching this from heaven!
Very interesting I’ve never seen anything like it
Here's an idea: Vanta black (Musou Paint) black base + Lumilor accents
Can get your business website, I would like one of those lights
