- Thanks for viewing the video of Brian's 1981 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. The vehicle restoration on this K5 Blazer truck took about 1.5 years to complete. The restoration started out as a mechanical restoration only but the customer wanted to go all the way for a full restoration. We did not pull the vehicle off the frame because it was so clean, probably one of the cleanest rust free trucks we have ever worked on. The Blazer came from Florida where the customer purchased it from the second owner and brought back to Massachusetts where he lives. The restoration consisted of installing a rebuilt transmission, 350 Chevrolet performance engine from summit racing, Holley EFI, engine bay overhaul, chrome re-plating, BFgoodrich tires, wheel restoration, interior upholstery, Full paint & body restoration products supplies by Sherwin Williams automotive, Skyjacker Suspension lift, Brush guard installation with KC daylighters, custom restored original sound system with upgraded speakers, warn locking hub conversion, frame undercoating and so much more. This is GLORIOUS! Never thought of red for a color combo on these but hot damn it looks sexy!
Very Cool! I used to have a '78 K5 that was the first vehicle that I ever bought. I loved that truck, right up until the 400 Small Block threw two rods. Live and learn...
This is a beautiful truck, I actually have a 81 and 85 but nothing like this, maybe one day.
fantastic. I just picked up an ’85 Jimmy and we’re thinking white/ red and this really helps!
Sweet! Good luck with the build!

❤❤❤❤
Quedó muy hermosa 👍👍👍
Bumper guards are more practical and fine .
Hey Greg. That is a bad ass looking truck. Now did this cost more than buying a new truck?😊 Sometimes it is, but then it is well worth it in the end. It is a beautiful truck. I would be proud to own it myself. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Nice ! . I had a 77 k5 blazer 4x4 with a 400 cubic inch engine. My dad gave me as my first vehicle back in 1983. Boy was it a gas guzzler. I drove to high school during my junior and senior years. Correct me if I’m wrong but the reason they stopped making them was because of high rollover risk and the rear fiberglass roof was causing fatalities when rolling ? Because it would break and crush occupants?
What is the specific Sherwin Williams red color on this build? Ya'll did a great job on this!
Im in CA, i have a blazer (idk much about it. It was my father's). Its been siting out in the elements for roughly 18 yrs and hasnt ran for 23 yrs. It needs lots of work and im wondering how i can find some that'll be able to fix it or give me a quote.
Send me pictures of the vehicle to gregsrestorationsLLC@gmail.com
I was so stupid as a young man, I come back from my overseas tour and I really wanted one of these or a step side sb truck, instead I got a sports car☹I should have traded for one later. FAIL
At least you realized soon enough. I did something similar but I’m getting my dream truck soon.
Inspired me to grab one to do up for my RUclips channel. Just getting started. Be sure to check it out!!
Thats awesome!
can you tell me how to install the the chrome locking bead on the removeable top side glass sliding window rubber is good but the chrome bead is bad

Having heartbeat of america floor mats doesn't make sense. Didn't start until 1985. I guess you could have waited until then to get them.
