To be honest do you really think many people would but something like this anymore. I love older blazers but now all people care about is gas Mileage and ride comfort.
I remember the 1st Blazer My wife got it was a S10 4x4 1988 her 2nd one was a 2003 S10 4x4 & the one she has now is a 07 Trail Blazer, she said she will never go back to a car! thanks for the video
You right I born 1973 and I enjoy the late 70s the all 80s and 90s those times was awesome music cars outfits I really see the bad changes after September 11 2001.
My parents had a 4 wheel drive suburban, they traded it for a dealer demo GMC Safari awd and later a real "mini" van. They kept the Safari until a few years ago, I inherited it. Still I would have loved to have an old square body. Ironically they downgraded to save on fuel in the mid 90's.. that old Safari was never that much better on gas. She's a fairly thirsty old beast for what it is. But, at least it's equally reliable.
Had an 84 S10 Blazer 4x4 with a 5 speed manual trans this thing would go anywhere never got stuck. Sold it in 1998. Should have kept it regretting it now.
It's weird seeing these vehicles with stock tires and suspension. Now a days just about every single one has been jacked up 18 feet off the ground and basically has monster truck tires on it.
@@shortbedgameskreshfulloffi1826 mine has a 4 inch lift on it that was installed on it in the late 80s, I want to lift it 2 more inches but I don't want to mess with the nostalgia lol
I had a 84 C10 Scottsdale. It had the optional locking rear differential. I remember I had to back it up to make it pop out of lock to get going forward without the thing grenading. Also that locking differential helped me break the left side axle right in to two pieces. Never trusted that thing.
It came to be a really annoying quality in the S-10 Blazers of the mid-1990s, with the push-button 4WD and the stupid indicator light blinking at you that you were STUCK in 4-HI...
like always?..then why is ford the truck leader since 1977 ...why was it ford who had the bronco before chevy had the blazer...same goes with the ranchero was out before el'camino ....and mustang before camaro
5.0 with only 160hp lol. you can tell these were the days when car companies were still yet to figure out how create alot of hp while staying in the emission requirements.
Many years ago, I had an 84 GMC Jimmy. Same thing as a K5 Blazer. 305 4bbl and 3.08 gears with automatic overdrive was definitely not efficient! Sluggish power and 11 mpg!! Those were the days!!
love the blazer especially k5 ,they were better than even toyotas apart from just reliability ! The new blazer is no way a blazer ! Made only for the soccer moms and gays ! The K5 is a real blazer ,made like a scout's horse !
What happened to the Blazer vs Bronco and Pickups from Chevy and Ford From 1980? Or I confusing your channel with someone else is please it its your channel I really liked seeing that video.
Richard Noggin Wait, so they're garbage, and you know this because you worked on them? LOL. That doesn't sound nearly as good out loud as it did in your head, I'm guessing.
I love these blazers way more than the 2019 model.
Same
Its just a Name nothing else today means nothing now.
To be honest do you really think many people would but something like this anymore. I love older blazers but now all people care about is gas Mileage and ride comfort.
agreed.
@@jacksongay6848 Plenty of people buy off road vehicles, you can make improvements to comfort without completely changing the functionality of a truck
What an awesome memories that you could make alive again . Well done man
Had 3 K5 BLAZERS 74, 77, 79 AWESOME TRUCKS 🙂😀👍👍✌👊🇺🇸
lol I love the smile the grandpa has the entire commercial.
Jordan Parker : that’s because he’s not in a retirement home.
jason9022 : Kind a like Walter Matthau in the bad news Bears. Lmao.

You know you were in the 80's when suburbans looked small next to a car
I wish I was born in the 70’s. I wanted to experience the 80’s. Too bad I’m a early 90’s boy.
Veni Vidi Vici
Same.
you're living your 80s now
At least 90
You right I born 1973 and I enjoy the late 70s the all 80s and 90s those times was awesome music cars outfits I really see the bad changes after September 11 2001.
man. love that pastel yellow

I cant wait to finish restoring my 88, looks just like this one
Chevy really looked at a K10 Chevy truck and said: "Yea, let's add a camper shell and some more seats"
And made a masterpiece
nobody loves chevys more then me love them all best of the best period

Mines is all original I was about to put forces on a 4” lift
@@shortbedgameskreshfulloffi1826 mine has a 4 inch lift on it that was installed on it in the late 80s, I want to lift it 2 more inches but I don't want to mess with the nostalgia lol
Because they are owned by ignorant potato brain douchebags who have no idea what taste or style is and have a very very small dick.
They sure don't build trucks like these, anymore. Tough, dependable, easy to service and modify. Very little electronics to fail. And affordable, too.
اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على عبدك ورسولك محمدﷺ
Even when chevy wanted their trucks to go offroad, they also wanted their trucks to look sexy af doing it

Back up to get out of four wheel drive. I forgot all about that!
A lot of cars share this step as well for example Jeeps
I was still doing that in my 98 Sidekick
I still do it in my 2020 4Runner and my 1990 Jeep Cherokee. Its a good habit to get into

Notice that at 7:10, the Blazer has no radio at all.
8:50 “Built Chevy Tough”. Did Ford steal that slogan? Built Ford Tough..
Yeah when Chevy went to like a rock Ford had to come grab the leftovers like always.
That's awesome!
like always?..then why is ford the truck leader since 1977 ...why was it ford who had the bronco before chevy had the blazer...same goes with the ranchero was out before el'camino ....and mustang before camaro
Both have been using it since the late 60s.

SteelCity1981 wait what? Lmao lol I need to do my research xD
Still, better than Ford's 351M at 150hp.
They were going for economy... not power...

like the blazers/s10 blazers drop down tail gate
Me gusta la camioneta Chevrolet Suburban (Silverado) 1984, porque me encanta
si, es muy bien camioneta.
mmmmm caliente
Ay Dios mío 41 gallones...
K5 Blazer + LS Swap = 👌
The back seat was optional?
I had an 83 K5 with the 6.2 diesel. I got 22 mpg city or highway.
You don't only need money to pay off the Suburban and to fill up the fuel tank, but money to educate al those kids and to pay off that big house.

Mitch Pileggi @ 11:05 ??
Have to laugh at how they promoted IFS as being better off-road.
I noticed that too. I'd rather have my 78 anyday. 44 front 14 bolt rear.
Especially since IFS was only on 2wd
@@drift3rkid66 lol, good point. I forgot they didn’t start using IFS on 4x4s until after ‘87 or so.
@@dumper87 1988 for the 1/2 ton pickups, and 1992 for the 3/4 and 1 ton pickups and the new Tahoes
was it 16mpg?
those early blazers were gutless and thirty
They probably ran better in the 70s before all that electronic crap and pollution junk.
RIP GMC😢😢😢😢😢
A 350 gas engine wasn't available in 49 states?!🤔
Wtf? Dude driving around 4:10 be wearing daisy dukes
kevin guffey It’s just as bad as seeing those nut hugger pants guys are wearing today. 😣😣😣

How the fuck the diesel has only 20hp/Liter?
That old 6.2 diesel was a total piece of shit. Most got replaced with 350s.
I love this myth. It's helped keep 6.2 diesel prices cheap for years.
+oneandy2 Okay guy, but I was one of the dudes working on them back in the 80s. You can have them all for all I care.
+oneandy2 Some folks are easily impressed.

Just don't try that backin uphill in reverse shit, with that 4L60-E
You'll snap that Sunshell into two pieces.
No thanks to the 6.2.
