    I remember the 1st Blazer My wife got it was a S10 4x4 1988 her 2nd one was a 2003 S10 4x4 & the one she has now is a 07 Trail Blazer, she said she will never go back to a car! thanks for the video

    My parents had a 4 wheel drive suburban, they traded it for a dealer demo GMC Safari awd and later a real "mini" van. They kept the Safari until a few years ago, I inherited it. Still I would have loved to have an old square body. Ironically they downgraded to save on fuel in the mid 90's.. that old Safari was never that much better on gas. She's a fairly thirsty old beast for what it is. But, at least it's equally reliable.

    Had an 84 S10 Blazer 4x4 with a 5 speed manual trans this thing would go anywhere never got stuck. Sold it in 1998. Should have kept it regretting it now.

    It's weird seeing these vehicles with stock tires and suspension. Now a days just about every single one has been jacked up 18 feet off the ground and basically has monster truck tires on it.

    They sure don't build trucks like these, anymore. Tough, dependable, easy to service and modify. Very little electronics to fail. And affordable, too.

    I had a 84 C10 Scottsdale. It had the optional locking rear differential. I remember I had to back it up to make it pop out of lock to get going forward without the thing grenading. Also that locking differential helped me break the left side axle right in to two pieces. Never trusted that thing.

      It came to be a really annoying quality in the S-10 Blazers of the mid-1990s, with the push-button 4WD and the stupid indicator light blinking at you that you were STUCK in 4-HI...

    Many years ago, I had an 84 GMC Jimmy. Same thing as a K5 Blazer. 305 4bbl and 3.08 gears with automatic overdrive was definitely not efficient! Sluggish power and 11 mpg!! Those were the days!!

    I had an 83 K5 with the 6.2 diesel. I got 22 mpg city or highway.

    love the blazer especially k5 ,they were better than even toyotas apart from just reliability ! The new blazer is no way a blazer ! Made only for the soccer moms and gays ! The K5 is a real blazer ,made like a scout's horse !

    That old 6.2 diesel was a total piece of shit. Most got replaced with 350s.
