Ive just started a new tank and its gone extremely cloudy uts seemed alright on the first day but now i can barely see the back of the tank, ive add a water cleaner to make the particles easier to be picked up by the filter and aqua balls but its seem to be the same not sure if I should wait or start it all over again

Great video. I'm very sure I have a bacterial bloom. I set up a canister but there is just a subtle surface agitation, will this affect the bacterial bloom? Should I just be patient and wait?

I’ve had my 55 gallon for about a month and I can’t tell if it’s still bacterial bloom or filter issues. The filter is new and seems to have a steady output. Could it still be bacterial bloom?

@@MichaelsFishRoom I was trying to make a joke about how hard it is to deal with the bacteria blooms. If only I was funny...
I had a cloudy tank but it was a filtration issue. API root tabs crumble into dust when wet, and it was so fine it wasn't captured by my undergravel filter. In fact, I think the UG filter was pulling the particles down out of the gravel and right out the uplift tube. I had to split my air line and run a box filter with floss for a couple days to get the fine powder up. I also did my weekly water change as normal.
I decided to keep running both filters, because it doesn't hurt anything. It might even help!
Neon tetra looks really nice in the tank.Besides Angel and neon and cory, what kinds of fish in the tank? I see other fish but do not know what they are.
Red and blue Colombian tetras, bristlenose plecos (a few different kinds), and black neons.

Im having a bacteria bloom now. Ive done literally everything but sleep. Put a uv light put new polishing pads haven't slept in 3 days and tomorrow i want to do a 50% water change
Or, you could do nothing and fix it.
@@MichaelsFishRoom i have 5 fish 2 shrimps and 3 crabs in a month old tank. I did this to myself didn't i ? Thankfully ammonia is 0.2 nitrite 0 and nitrates at 2

Sir I just bought a clownfish and also the tank. I added the sand and a live rock. Now I’ve been waiting an hour and my tank is completely white (assuming it’s the bacterial bloom.)

I'm not sure I can do nothing. I get huge bacterial blooms that coat everything in white slime, even to the point of clogging the filters & killing the live plants. One fish store owner told me "This is a negative bad bacteria from your home." Some saltwater fish keepers on RUclips told me b/c I clean things around my apartment w/ rubbing alcohol, the fumes could accidentally be carbon dosing the tank causing bacteria blooms. I just tried to cycle a tiny tank w/ no fish & ammonia chloride drops + Fritz Turbostart 700 & sure enough, white water & clime clogged filters again.
Send me pics, I think the salt guys are wrong and the fish store is also wrong.

It been about 1 week or so since I planted rotala my tank is cloudy
The problem isn’t a bacterial bloom in itself, it’s that it can consume all the oxygen in the tank so it’s important to put lots of agitation in the tank.

@@MichaelsFishRoom I learned that the really hard way. My kids were traumatized by how many fish died in one night.
Easiest way to do that is buy bigger filters then what your tank needs 10 to 20gal should have 30gal filters only reason to use small filters is if you have planted tanks ect just really depends on the setup you have
@@JasonFolk07 The tank is 36 gallons with a seachem tidal 75 but the water was high and the tank was overstocked. The power heads were on a timer and when they turned off, I guess there was t enough splash from the filter to oxygenate the water. If the water had been lower, there probably would have been enough agitation even without the power heads.
@@rogerandjoan4329 true but those seachem tidals are kinda under powered imo good for tiny tanks cuase it cleans great for a 4 stage filtration but a aquaclear or aqueon quiet flows have more flow I found for larger tanks or even a canister filter

i just had a Bacteria Bloom last week.. lol... my fix was getting a UV light..
Then it wasn't a bacteria bloom.

So glad I checked this video out, didnt know much about bacterial bloom, mostly with how it occured as most information is about new tanks, which my tank isnt new 😂 found it was down to the filter
