My spring broke just like yours but it fell out on the floor. At first I didn't know what it was from but then figured it out when I had to change my gas petal. Your video was very helpfuln

Dude, this helped me a lot. Changed the master and slave cylinder and after months of waiting for parts I had to put this puzzle together.
Btw I‘m mechanic in Germany and I have no GM Si and the part Situation for GM in Europe is very bad 🙃

It took my wife to hold the clutch pedal all the way down with a broom stick from the passenger seat, and I used the needle nose pliers to pull the center of the spring into position. I was determined to do this myself.

This is NOT a return spring. It's is a helper spring that makes it so less effort is needed to depress the clutch pedal. GM added it to avoid complaints about a heavy clutch pedal.

I think I'm going to add the grease afterward. But thanks for the video. My spring broke and I could tell something was different. Then a piece of the spring fell on the floormat. Also is it possible to hook the 2nd part in first the put the ends in 2nd?
