Lisa has become my go-to reviewer. I'm about to buy my first iPad and expected her to have the best review. I wasn't disappointed. She covered the sorts of issues which highlight the differences between products. There _are_ alternatives to the iPad so it takes detailed information to make an informed choice. I've been reading and viewing a number of reviews. Hers makes the presentation most clearly, outlining issues in an organized way, with side by side comparisons. It doesn't get much better.
@man0z I'm not thrilled with the controls in Modern Combat 3, but our gaming editor had no complaints. As you can guess, our gaming editor has way more talent than I do at gaming :).
@davila1978 Interesting question. The IPS display is more color accurate and natural and goes for big sharpness and wide viewing angles. SuperAMOLED Plus is more about better than life colors and supreme contrast. I think it depends on which style you prefer.
Excellent review as usual Lisa!! I am inclined to see how beautiful that Retina display is. I look forward the smack down vid of the 3rd gen iPad and the transformer. That is a very capable tablet as well!
hey thank you so much for the review. you pretty much answered all my questions about the new ipad. it is very nice, much like all other apple products but for now i will be happy with my ipad 2. congradulations to all the new ipad owners. enjoy!!
lisa why does the video on the pad not take up the entier screen? I think I will wait on the asus Infinty or the mediapad 10. Thanks for another wonderful video.
Lisa, I'm in the market for a tablet. I am leaning towards the iPad over Android but I really like Windows 8 so far. What will be the price/release date for W8 tablets?
@thelastbill1 If you like Android and the transformer keyboard option, then definitely wait for the Transformer Infinity. It really depends on which OS you prefer.
I want to see a review showing the ipad 1 and the new one I have the original ipad and everything works fine still, but I'm wondering how good the screen on the new ipad compares to the original ipad.
Thanks Lisa as always!!! Before I got my new iPad 3, I thought perhaps there was no discernible difference in graphics on the 2048 x 1536 Retina display...Wellll I stand corrected!!! Real Racing 2 HD looks INSANE on the new iPad! Text is super super crisp & the Quad core graphics Retina display is the TRUTH
Hey Lisa. Nice video. I need some help with picking a tablet. I love the versatile features and the Tegra 3 processor of the Acer Iconia A510 but really love the build quality and the retina display of the new iPad. What tablet would you recommend? Thanks!
Wonderful review as always, ma'am, very thorough and insightful. However, the video does get a bit harsh on the eyes at times, especially having both iPads blazing at full brightness right at the camera, and like at the end with the kitten desktop. Just a thought :)
The new iPad can get as warm as 116° F under heavy use. While averaging up to 10 degrees warmer than the iPad 2 under normal use. The quad GPU & higher resolution screen account for a 2x the power consumption that also means more heat generation. While the 70% increased battery capacity doubles the charge time. Though mind this usually won't be a problem for most but under certain conditions it could mean the new iPad will either shut down or not charge until shut down to protect itself.
@MobileTechReview I already own an iPad 2 3G and wanted to buy a new tablet. Which one do you think I should buy, the iPad 3rd Gen or the Asus EeePad Transformer Prime? Please reply, really important for me!
I never had or used an ipad. I travel a lot, but find it cumbersome to take with me a small netbook with a small screen that uns slow. I will maybe buy this. I saw you can use a bluetooth keyboard, and otter makes some really tough cases.
Hi Lisa, been subscribed to your channel for a long time and Im looking for an iPad that I can use through college for 4 years. Should I get the 64GB iPad Mini (1st gen), 32GB iPad 3 or the 64GB iPad 2? These are the ones that are sellimg in my local area for an affordable price.
iPad 2 and iPad mini are outdated and will not get the next iOS 9 in 2015. iPad 3 also isn't recommended since it gets very warm. If you really need an iPad for 4 years, you should definitely consider iPad Air when the new Air 2 is announced later this month.

I have the Motorola Xoom, but I have seen that it does not give the experience,I was looking for,and the Android apps, not have that tablet optimization, and plus that Apps always crash, but what i like is that android is more intuitive in what is system experience, but I use many apps,I use a tablet as my second device(I have an iMac too). What do you advice me to do,buy an ipad and sell my Xoom or stay with my Xoom
hi lisa, i recently just got an ipad but i noticed that it takes a loooonnnnnngggggg time to charge, i put it on charge over night and it was 60% and while i was charging and using it at the same time the charge went down. do you know what the problem is and can you fix it or is it just my ipad?
Is there a difference with the chargers , I recently purchased the iPad 2 and sworn up and down that the iPad had the lighting charger, but when I got it , I saw it had the old model charger. Does it change from standard to lighting charger if you get the iPad 2 with retina display ?
Thanks Lisa for another top notch and unbiased review. For me (as an iPad 1st gen user), I am OK with my current device and will not be upgrading to this revised version just because nothing excites me about it. Apple, give me some true multi/tasking/windowing on that iPad and then I may consider..!
i want to get the asus transformer prime but people keep talking about the problems they had with it like weak wifi or gps. Anyone know if they fixed the problems people had with the asus transformer prime yet?
By the way, how is Asus better? They have lower specs on their tablets from what I can see? The Transformer Prime Infinity can't even match and it's coming out in Q2!
its simple retina display pretty much is an I device with AOOOOOOLT of pixels per inch (ppi) and what that does is make the games look much better reading things is like reading text from a magazine thats how sharp the letters are so ipod touch 4th & 5th gen, iphone 4,4s,5, and the ipad 3 all have retina display so I hope that helped you understand more
great review, i was just about to contemplate on upgrading my iPad 2, but after hearing this review, i don't see the point. i look at my iPad 2's display and it's pretty nice. i guess apple has to try again next year to upsale me :-/
I have an Acer iconia tab a500 and I have no complaints about it..the apps are quite good, has USB port and good for watching movies.I was expecting a little different from apple as their
So long as you can run iTunes you should be fine, most things can be gotten through the app store, but the iPad can't be charged by most PC USB's and besides this new iPad is much more power consuming. They had to increase the battery capacity by about 70% to keep the same run time. So I'd advise getting extra dedicated chargers and remember to keep it charged as much as possible because it also takes twice as long to charge as the iPad 2.
About the heat, the heat is energi that is lost. Look at filament and you can see/feel that they are warm, they waste alot of electricity on the heat insteed if the power. Wich can be alot disturbing while the batterty bar is going down rapidly!
There's actually a reason for Apple calling it a Retina Display, because at a normal distance on a phone or tablet and the PPI is over 300 or in iPad's case close to 300, your retina cannot discern the pixels in the display, making it look extremely crisp and sharp. Please, don't say it's just a name.
I'm looking to get this for college and can anybody help me with how would this intertwine with a pc instead of a mac, and is there some kind of app that i can get to download textbooks on to it. Thank you
@BallyLoud I suggest a blackberry Playbook. Small fast and portable with better multi-tasking than the iPad. Also the bad reviews are for os1 not os2 which is out now (lisa reviewed it)
i think with this game you need a stand for it for better gameplay - coz when your holding i tin your hand your thumbs wont be bale to move as good as if the iPad was in a stand where you could use your index fingers to move shoot ect. - my opinion
There was a big step between the iPad 1 and the iPad2, now we see a small step between the iPad2 and the 3rd gen one. And we'll see the steps even smaller on future updates. That's how Apple works.
I have dozens of channels reviewing many tech products but none comes to the content and quality like Lisa's review channel. Love them.
i love Lisa's review because unlike others, 1) nice and clear voice 2) understandable and 3) she goes straight to the facts...
Yay! I couldn't wait for your review Lisa! Thank you

Great review. I hope I can get one for my birthday, it's in a couple of weeks!
i love your reviews. thank you lisa!!!
I follow multiple tech reviewers, and you provide the most in depth and unbiased reviews. Thank you!
Excellent review as usual Lisa!! I am inclined to see how beautiful that Retina display is. I look forward the smack down vid of the 3rd gen iPad and the transformer. That is a very capable tablet as well!
Your explanation about the specs of the iPad, Fantastic!!
I'm from Puerto Rico, and I love your review of tech accessories... :)
i love your thorough reviews, and you're the only reviewer i can trust, you always give pros and cons, less on subjective matter.
Got my Mom the IPAD2 for Christmas no way Im buying another one right now lol. Great review as always Lisa.
finally, i was waiting for Lisa's review.
Yeah im keeping my ipad 2?
@jocamp5 I notice the difference but it's not killing me after holding it for 30 minutes.
Wow! Your high speed with the tech
wonderful review, been looking forward to it for quite a while....... please review the iPhoto on it!
hey thank you so much for the review. you pretty much answered all my questions about the new ipad. it is very nice, much like all other apple products but for now i will be happy with my ipad 2. congradulations to all the new ipad owners. enjoy!!
just ordered the same model that you have in this video. Please make more videos on this
Another great review Lisa!!:D I will sure be getting this.
lisa why does the video on the pad not take up the entier screen? I think I will wait on the asus Infinty or the mediapad 10. Thanks for another wonderful video.

I didn't think about the space issue because of larger files for the retina display, thank you for mentioning that
great review Lisa.
I want to see a review showing the ipad 1 and the new one
I have the original ipad and everything works fine still, but I'm wondering how good the screen on the new ipad compares to the original ipad.

Who disliked this video? I guess you are not used to seeing a great reviewer like Lisa.
Hey Lisa. Nice video. I need some help with picking a tablet. I love the versatile features and the Tegra 3 processor of the Acer Iconia A510 but really love the build quality and the retina display of the new iPad. What tablet would you recommend? Thanks!
hey lisa great review i was wondering were did you get that back ground for your ipad 3 i dont have it as a option on my ipad 3 gen please help
Lisa, I know this new model is heavier, but how much heavier does it feel in your hands?
Wonderful review as always, ma'am, very thorough and insightful. However, the video does get a bit harsh on the eyes at times, especially having both iPads blazing at full brightness right at the camera, and like at the end with the kitten desktop. Just a thought :)
Hi lisa i am wonder if i should get the new iPad i just got a mac and i am looking for something portable? PLEASE RESPOND SHOULD I GET THE IPAD 3 OR 2
Great review, everything was said, and said in proper manner ;)
@genises1993 Are the upcoming tablets gonna be cheaper?
@annabanana1984 It's called Circle of Bones: A Caribbean Thriller by Christine Kling.
Very nice review. Think I will wait for your reviews of upcoming Android tablets.
Lisa rocks!! i love your reviews :)
Hey Lisa, would you personally use the iPad 3 or an android tablet?
Excellent review! Thank you for your time!
I have an iPad 2. Do you think it is really worth upgrading?
I know this is probably a stupid question but if you get the 3G/4G model you do have to pay monthly right?
The new iPad can get as warm as 116° F under heavy use. While averaging up to 10 degrees warmer than the iPad 2 under normal use.

good review, but the so called heatof 1st gen was not an issue with mine.
i don't have a ipad yet but i have had a tablet before should i buy the new ipad or ipad 2

really like your review. thanks

wow you took really beautiful pictures
Is this ipad worthy of buying or is it ok with ipad2.
So now that this is finally here, wait for transformer infinity?
Thanks!

Display quality is an important factor and so a plus for the ipad 3.
thanks for the info nice video and very well explain tkx
Whats the book you are showing starting at 10:15 after Bossypants?
Lisa, would you recommend for a gamer to buy an ipad 2 for $350 or ipad 3 for $520 plus tax? (I'm turning 14 and only have $1000 in the bank)
Is it worth buying one even if it doesn't have flash?
(I Use flash alot)
Thanks Lisa for another top notch and unbiased review.
For me (as an iPad 1st gen user), I am OK with my current device and will not be upgrading to this revised version just because nothing excites me about it.
Apple, give me some true multi/tasking/windowing on that iPad and then I may consider..!
Thanks for a great review without wasting 10min showing an "unboxing".....
i want to get the asus transformer prime but people keep talking about the problems they had with it like weak wifi or gps. Anyone know if they fixed the problems people had with the asus transformer prime yet?
If you read for long period of time, e-ink readers are always better for your eye than any LCD tablet.
By the way, how is Asus better? They have lower specs on their tablets from what I can see? The Transformer Prime Infinity can't even match and it's coming out in Q2!

i love ur background!
what is the name of the game that she was playing?
how is the comic book reader on this did comixology update there reader?
i also wish they would've upgraded the FaceTime camera...atleast to like a 1.3 pixel camera

hello ipad 2.. did you gain weight?
@SunPlays how about texting like a phone no wifi i mean SMS text like asn iphone anytime anywhere can it do that?
cant see the difference because you camera is positioned under the tablet so i dont know which is thinner

The battery is larger on the new iPad and it takes longer time for it to charge. It's not just your iPad.
The question you should be asking is android or iOS?
it does in the US Apple site
Can the new ipad watch videos on its internet browser (flash)
8:20 , you can appreciate the details from the leaves.
this looks so impressive but my god, the prices for internal memory upgrades...
I'm looking to get this for college and can anybody help me with how would this intertwine with a pc instead of a mac, and is there some kind of app that i can get to download textbooks on to it. Thank you
Fantastic review... same old apple!
And you are writing this with parchment and a quill right????
whats the shooting game called ._.
If you were a first iPad buyer, what would you choose? 2 or 3?
@BallyLoud I suggest a blackberry Playbook. Small fast and portable with better multi-tasking than the iPad. Also the bad reviews are for os1 not os2 which is out now (lisa reviewed it)
I don't understand, is this fake? Because the iPad 3 isn't on the Apple website.
@denisrenelara Could still be the same sensor.
i think with this game you need a stand for it for better gameplay - coz when your holding i tin your hand your thumbs wont be bale to move as good as if the iPad was in a stand where you could use your index fingers to move shoot ect. - my opinion
