Summer 2020. I matched on tinder with a girl I’d had a thing for since high school. By the fall, what was originally supposed to be a long-anticipated hookup turned into a budding relationship. Spring 2021. 6 months into this passionate but turbulent romance in troubled times, I come across this song. I think about how much it resonates with me - how I think this girl is probably going to break my heart one day, and how I want to risk it anyway. I add it to her playlist. November 2023. Today.
