Excellent tutorial! I had no idea you could "bake" acrylic - what a neat idea!

You are going to help me make a little girl very very happy and nd make me the bestest aunty EVER! Thank you very much for this simple, but perfectly helpful tutorial.
And I might just have to get that mermaid doll pattern at some point. Whenever I've slipped from the bestest aunty position perhaps. 😉😂

Having just discovered your tutorials I find them AMAZING, thank you. I've just made the doll and think having the scalp in the yellow to match the hair would have made my doll so much better. Have you now incorporated this in the doll or boy pattern? I purchased mine around 2017 and used up the whole 100g ball of yellow wool for her hair, but found it far too heavy and gave up. Last month I got the half knitted doll out again and removed at least 50% of the hair to a more manageable state but noticed her scalp shows through even though I have used more at the front than at the back. It would really be great if you gave the option of having the scalp in the hair colour in your pattern for the doll - or maybe you already have! Now working on her clothes. My youngest grandaughter will be extremely happy soon, I know she's going to need the boy doll next (hence my request re a scalp pattern). Thanks again for all these tutorials and patterns. x

Hi Gwenda, about a year or so ago I revised my girl doll pattern so that the scalp is knitted in the hair colour. If you would like a copy of the revised pattern could you please email sarah@knitables.co.uk. Many thanks Sarah

Hi love the Mermaid pattern but having difficulty keep the various ball of wool from getting tangled any tip on stopping this? Also knitting the the pattern I’m knitting isn’t as scalloped shape as in the picture what am I doing wrong? Thank you

I love this idea, it looks very nice. I am considering making one as a gift. Would you say this type of hair on a doll is appropriate for a 3 year old? Or is it too soon?

Beautiful doll but ears stick out too much! Could you sew them down a little to make them flatter?
