What is your gain setting (1-6) while using it?

What are the best settings on the mics themselves? This is for basic youtube videos. I usually use 4/6 db and it’s low volume in my video but if I go up to 5/6 on the mic there is so much hissing in my audio.

Firmwire upgrade? I Have 1.1.7 but can´t find how to upgrade, is there i new firmwire?
