Yey! More unboxing pa Lodi! Like what I mentioned in our DuraPro NP-F550 Battery vs Eneloop (AA) Batteries | 3-in-1 Video Light Test, the USB type C seems more robust and can carry more current. It's just right for charging the three units simultaneously. The Micro USB plug/port tends to heat up and has tiny contacts that can easily fail. The type C is just right for the case, in my opinion, and the micro USBs are slightly smaller and fit into the casing of the individual units more easily.

I saw this product a couple of days ago while doing a new search for Dual lavalier microphones for use on my RUclips golf channel. I winced at the expense but was very intrigued with the auto pairing feature. To me that made it very plug and play/user friendly. Your video sealed the deal. Thank you very much. Thanks for the great presentation. The audio comparisons are useful for me and well demonstrated. At 11:10 you give us the noise floor face, and apart from the ubiquitous white noise, on the left channel there is interference. I can't hear it elsewhere, but elsewhere you don't face the noise floor in the same way. Can you comment on it, did you notice it in production, or on any other footage you shot that's not included here? Thanks Dan

Fantastic review.
To carry the charging case and the small box of wires I put both of them into a Crown Royal drawstring sack. If you don't know what that is do a search for it. I have several of these sacks. They are handy to have, and are a handy way to keep the charging case and cords together while taking up minimal room.
Great video. Does the Blink 500 Pro system have internal memory and safety track like the dji wireless mics and the rode go 2 mics?
Got this a few weeks back and is going good but one issue I'm having is that when using it with my phone (OnePlus 6T ) the transmitters audio will only be picked up if I have headphones plugged into the receiver. Is it a case where you have to have headphones plugged into the receiver all the time or should it work without headphones plugged in.

If I got 2 of these kits and a splitter cable, could I record 4 microphones at once? Would there be any significant drawbacks? (I suppose I would only be able to control the audio for each system instead of for each of the 4 mics?).

Great video! I have a question. I turn all 3 units off and put them in the charging case. I plug the case into the wall and fully charge them up. The next day, I go to use them and all three u units are completely dead!! What is causing this???? Its happened three times to me already 😠

The microphones went out of phase when testing the internal & lavaliere mics simultaneously. This made the audio test pretty much useless. Other than this very important detail, the video was fantastic.

Is there really any functional difference bw the new black and the old yellow version? Hi Ryan-thanks for your excellent review!! At 4:33 of your review you mention "connector pins". I just bought this item and my "connector pins" (on both transmitter and receiver) are covered with blue film covering. Is this supposed to be removed? There is nothing in the manual about this.
Yes you do have to remove them. They put it there so it wont discharge the charging case while storage/shipping. The film keeps the factory charge/power.

I would like to install a 3.5 millimeter wire into the headphone output of the Saramonic wireless microphone transmitter into a Bose Soundlink speaker auxiliary input which would have a y wire 3.5 millimeter the other side I would input a phone for music to help my grand daughter with her exercise classes on the park

Hi Ryan- When I set The Saramonic Blink500 Pro B2 up to my camcorder- (Canon Vixia HF G 40) is the microphone from my camera automatically turned off- or am I going to get audio from both the Saramonic Blink500 Pro AND my camera mic? (Apologies if this is a dumb question- I’m just unfamiliar with wireless mic’s)
Hi Brian, your camera’s on board mic will automatically turn off once you plug in any 3.5mm plug into its 3.5mm mic input. Make sure you plug it in all the way. No worries about those questions, just ask :)

Hi Ryan! When I recorded using the Blink 500 Pro-there was a slight "hiss" under the recorded audio. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this? The "Audio Mix" feature on my camera was set to off. I'd appreciate any assistance you could offer. Thank you again for your review! (I using the Saramonic Blink500 Pro B2 --with a Canon VIXIA HF G40)
make sure you plug it all the way in. Also, make sure that your mic gain and audio levels are just right. Atleast not over -12db. Sometimes it all depends on your cameras preamps. try to experiment on the mic gain.
Hi @@RyanAudencial --in my camera under Functions there is a Mic Level option--which I can set to Automatic or Manual--when I set it to Manual and lower it from 40 to 35 it seems to reduce the hiss. Does this makes sense?
Yes, always set it to manual so you can fully control the gain level :)

Sir, tanong lang bakit parang wala namang difference gumamit ako ng Saramonic Blink Pro b2 or hindi same lang quality nakukuha ko sa cellphone ko parang useless yung Saramonic? Halos madurog ko na cellphone ko to make sure nakapasok ng maigi ang mga wire ganon parin, kapag nagvideo ako gamit cellphone lang walang Saramonic same lang quality ng audio. it may happen if the recording app is already open and is detecting the onboard mic. try niyo po muna close mga app especially yung recorder. then plug in the device before launching the recording app

Broadcast quality... ooooo I don't know about that... maybe in a very loose sense. Although a flexible package, the B2 sounds overly bright with a narrow dynamic range and I'd almost say it's a bit compressed - something like a 96kbps Mp3 quality - compared to a traditional UHF Sony type lavalier.

Hi, you meant the lavalier mic and the onboard mic? yes they will be different when it comes to quality. You can just tweak it po using the equalizer.

I have a problem with the headphone output. What kind of headphones did not connect - it is very quietly audible. Although the volume is 6/6.
You may check your cables. I used 2 headphones on this, no problems.
Nagdrodrop agad signal ng saramonic compared to rode, kaya medyo ingats lang.

I think all these products are behind DJI MIC because they don't record directly to the transceiver and allow for quick transfer to your computer.
