Another observation when you watch serve in slow motion. For more top/side, there is a short pulling up at the end of the stroke. For side/under spin, paddle is at 45 degrees but you have to make total stroke move toward right net post a bit to get the underspin mixed with the sidespin. To get 50 percent gyro and 50 percent sidespin, just move paddle left to right at 45 degrees.
I think if you make contact with the ball early, it becomes side under. if you make contact with the ball late then gyro. then at the tip of the racket of course fast/long or side top.
Looks like windshield wiper serve from backhand. Spin can not be random, it is determined by the force vector applied to the ball and on the point of its application:)

That is correct but only if stroke is moving left to right at 45 degrees and slightly toward right net post.
