Best match from XX this tournament so far. He looks a little rusty. Needs to go back to his 6-8 points rally needed to win. Saw in doubles he tried to make points too quickly. Also seems not that confident yet. In this match saw glimpses of old XX. LSD is simply too strong on both wings. I’m 70% sure he will be number 1 next year. LSD is a fantastic mix of power, defense, offense, great forehand, great backhand. Incredible reflexes and footwork. Almost no weaknesses. People said future Chinese players will be robots and boring to watch. LSD proves them sooooo wrong.
i"d say Xu XIn still has better footwork, movement speed, and a more assertive forehand. However LSD had much better reaction and placement. In terms of athleticism I think Xu Xin has better movement speed, but LSD has way better stamina. Not to mention LSD had a way better backhand and is prolly best bh in the world. XX impressed me today by somehow taking it to the decider with classix third and fourth balls in the 2nd and 4th game.

People used to complain about every Chinese player playing with the same style. Now with LSD we see sth different. Let’s enjoy it.
