How do you puncture the CO2 cartridge when you’re ready to use it? Like Byrna you can have it loaded and ready to use. Then squeeze the trigger once and it’s ready to fire? Is there a quick load mag? I have yet to see a review video on how to properly load the mag into this projector. I know it’s way more powerful then the Byrna…just not sure how it works in regards to the questions I just asked.
You carry the Gavle with the CO2 screwed in, almost to the point of puncturing the cartridge, but not quite. So when you need it, you only have to give it a final quick quarter turn all the way in, puncture the cartridge and now it's "pressurized" ready to shoot it. Many people don't like that, but I like the mechanical simplicity which makes it more reliable I think. The Byrna (which I have) uses the trigger mechanism to puncture the cartridge. What happens if the trigger has an issue of sorts, then what? Again, the Gavle avoids that. It's a trade off I don't mind. The Gavle is a 5 shot. No magazine. Again, much simpler. Less things to go wrong. Remember these launchers are really to Deter, Distract or Delay an attacker, buying you time to escape and evade the threat. 5 shots should be good enough in most cases for that. There are videos here on YT showing the loading procedure.
@@MultiSkyman1 there is a reason nobody uses revolvers anymore for personal defense and it is even more illogical for a LTL weapon that takes tools and 5 minutes to do a reload and C02 change - at least revolvers have speed loaders. 5 or 6 shots in a perfect world and punching paper or an object that's not trying to harm you "might" pass the " should be good enough" muster but never in a stress fire situation where basic motor skill functions are out the window. Even law enforcement are mag dumping 9mm glocks with only a handful of rounds making the target and usually not stopping the threat right away. Sorry but most smart people will take the FSC option with ammo and fresh c02 each mag change any day over the Grim or the Byrna.
Gavle certainly sounds Scandinavian so it might be Swedish although I don't think that they'll be selling many to the public in Sweden, and most of the rest of western Europe,as they would be illegal to carry possibly to own in most of the countries around there.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well hope you get well soon. With the experience you have you probably already know that the gavle is attaining approximately 42 Joules on the first shot completely factory stock simply by using Grimburgs heavier ammunition. It is somewhere around 10 grams. Thank you for the review and get better soon.
You were mentioning something about a 3D printed CO2 cover for the gavle. That would be interesting perhaps you could attach it to the CO2 cartridge and it could be used to tighten it as well. Thanks for your work and I hope you are feeling normal soon.
Feel free to email me with your order details so I can look into it further but we canceled and refunded all those orders in July last year because Umarex never delivered the shotguns
Couple things I don’t like about it, but they are just my opinions. 1- don’t like how the ammo gets loaded 2- absolutely not a fan of screw in co2 3- the grip needs to be an inch longer Other than that that launcher is a perfect size to carry concealed. Not many people get to play with a new piece when they get the vid. Kick it’s ass and ride it out.
@@farcommet6818 yea well now I can’t stop watching the Galve videos and I may be getting myself one with holster for Christmas even though I can’t afford it lol
Your energy is simply electric. I was asleep after the first three minutes of basically just fucking around with a gun when all anybody cares about you taking it out and shooting it instead of examining each CO2 cartridge in detail. I’d like the last 10 minutes of my life back, please.
Fell free to unfollow, I was down with Covid when I made this video. You somehow found the time to still comment on my bad video, you’re life must be simply electric 😂

Can we see some more videos of the Gavle?
I wish they redesign the loading process without fumbling with the spring. May be a magazine like Byrna will work better IMO.
I love the Gavle. It packs a wallop and serves me well.
Are you going to start carrying them and other accessories?
Hey brother fellow granite stater, just wondering if you've done any tinkering with your gavle or 3d printed some sleeve for the co2?
Honestly haven’t had a chance to do much with it yet. I’d check with John Wixon on the co2 cover he makes a nice one

Thanks! Doing much better now. I know there is a grip extension in the works. Not sure the extent that it is integrated into the launcher yet.
@@mercylesslethal6039 Thanks for the quick response. Hope you have a better week.
Did you ended up 3d printing something?
Get well soon, mate!
Thanks!
Hi Charles, I'm still waiting for my Umarex pump shotgun that I paid for (over $350.00) back over a year ago. Do you have an update, anything?

Hey Charles, hope you're starting to feel better. 👍
I wish i had got this instead of the hdr 68
Idk I love my hdr 68 but this does look amazing.
@@GM-7777 the gavle is 36 joules
And the hdr 68 is only 16 joules max but hey if you modify the hdr 68 it will be realy good

i rather like blemishes. Everything i buy gets a blemish pretty quick anyway. Congrats on your new Gavle. Get well soon and no more shots ;-]
Got to play with it yet?
No, hopefully soon. We keep getting buried in snow so I get home and have no time to play
Get better bro .

What?
