She is mostly known for pop music and her fashion sense. Also she was a judge for the Greek X Factor if I am not mistaken. But she is quite successful in both Greece and Cyprus. Some people can't help making comparison between Fuego ans Replay. Ok, I admit it, you can find some similarities but are different songs, different artists in different years... I just relax and enjoy the beat. I read in some other video that Eleni is more like Beyonce/Shakira style while Tamta is more like Bebe Rexha/Rita Ora and I totally agree. I missed your reactions and I look forward to seeing the rest of the strong entries this year

She had very difficult life when she was younger, including having a sort of forced marriage situation at 14 and having a child at that age (she is 38, her daughter is 24). Now she is not only a a famous singer in Greece and Cyprus but also a fashion icon for sure. Also, you should listen to her cover of "creep" on greece x factor-she can sing very well!

Love this song. That silver hairclip thing she had going on was rad too. For some reason it reminded me of Olivia Newton John in Xanadu during the final song in the movie. She had this silver hair thing going on. Anyways, visually the clip had some cool stuff, which makes me excited for the live performance.

Cyprus despite being a small country, has amazing entries. It's not just "Fuego". How about Cyprus 2012 Ivi Adamou "la La Love" or Cyprus 2007 and Evridiki with "Comme Ci Comme Ca". Or Cyprus 2016 in a great rock song Minus One in "Alter Ego"...

I really like the track (it's catchy). But I'm really sorry, of the three Fuego-inspired entries this year, this is my 2nd between the three, but last in terms of originality. It's just too similar to last year, and I believe that sending a similar entry to last year would likely not work. At least both Malta & Switzerland manage to sound overall distinct in the end, with a part or two similar resembling Cyprus 2018. However, her live performance & stage presence might change my view later, so who knows? Anyway, I wish the best of luck to Cyprus from Indonesia! 🇨🇾🇮🇩
I have nothing against this song, really I don't, but I hope Cyprus won't get stuck in this one style like Sweden did. And when comparing with other similar songs, I actually like Switzerland and Malta more. Partly because their relationship with Fuego feels more like "inspired by" when Replay is "based on".
Yes, exactly my thought as well. Both Switzerland and Malta has only one part similar to Fuego, but their overall end products are pretty much different (for some reason I can only enjoy Switzerland, and despise Malta because of the drop, all over the place melodies and messy lyrics). Whereas Cyprus basically follows almost the same format, just with a different drop.

I have nothing against this song, really I don't, but I hope Cyprus won't get stuck in this one style like Sweden did. And when comparing with other similar songs, I actually like Switzerland and Malta more. Partly because their relationship with Fuego feels more like "inspired by" when Replay is "based on".
Yes, exactly my thought as well. Both Switzerland and Malta has only one part similar to Fuego, but their overall end products are pretty much different (for some reason I can only enjoy Switzerland, and despise Malta because of the drop, all over the place melodies and messy lyrics).
Whereas Cyprus basically follows almost the same format, just with a different drop.

It’s just exactly like Fuego to me. I’m pretty sure it’s even written in the same key. And when she sings, “Early in the morning, early in the morning,” I finish the line with “Keep taking me higher.” She’s a cute girl with a nice voice, but I wish the song was different.
