I've never opened my drain because i watched one of your earlier videos and you said you use a submersible pump and i love it, 15 mins to empty it then a shop vac to finish it. great tip Jeff and glad you got all the oil out.

Can you post a link to the vacuum? I didn’t see your link. Secondly, did you clean the inside of the hot tub before refilling it?

My directions say add 1 ounce (30ml ) per 500 gallons to increase hardness by 7 ppm. my hot tub is 250 gallons and my hardness is zero still after adding 150 ml (5 ounces). My hardness should be at 80ppm. But it’s zero. I’m afraid to add more yet. Any suggestions?

Hi, I think you have a bad test strip.
Please check if it is not expire.
Try testing tools by electric tester.
It may cost you at first. But I think it is more accurate than test strip.
It will help you control water quality for long terms.

I bought a 250ft hose so I could run the drain to the ditch in the front of my yard.
