The Most Annoying Thing about Lego Rock Raiders

- I have recently played through the original @LEGO Rock Raiders game. It's still really fun to play, but the most annoying thing I found is that the Rock Raiders really love their sandwiches. So much so, that they complete abandon important tasks just to get their lunch. I thought it would be fun to create an animation about that. Hope you all like it! 😁

There were some missions where I was pressing "M" on the keyboard every minute for Action Stations, with varying degrees of success. Some Rock Raiders would run around Rock Monsters without a single beam weapon!
What does "M" do exactly? I haven't heard of this trick. 😮
@StudframeAnimations there are hot keys on the computer for certain commands so you can use them more efficiently than the computer mouse. Pressing "M" will toggle the Action Stations on and off.

I thought that as long as the emergency is up, the rock raiders are not taking a break if they have a gun. Maybe I am remebering that wrong
They even prefer their sandwich in that situation. Sometimes they even wake up sleeping rock monsters by walking past them for their sandwich. 😋

yeah, during action stations, raiders won't ditch their posts to go get a snack. However, I'm pretty sure they will stay at the support station/canteen until they're done eating if they're already there when action stations is active.

Oh the joy of the fucking support station. The one building that you need in almost every level, yet instantly turns your rock raiders into gluttons.
Exactly! It was tempting to send the building back to LMS explorer every time the air meter was full. 😋
To be fair, once you get one down, you're no longer on a timer.

You still can! It works on modern computers with a bit of tweaking.
I’m not sure if you’re aware but there is fan made remaster called Manic Miners. It’s really fun and free. 😁
This video is actually not accurate. About the only thing that Rock Raiders won't ignore in favor of scarfing down sandwiches is base defense while in action stations. They'll do it with everything else, though luckily they won't do it until you get a support station down anyway so you don't have to worry about running out of oxygen because they wouldn't stop eating.
How did you run the original, without it crashing every time dynamite explodes?
There is a guide on the internet on how to run the game on Windows 10 or 11. That worked for me, although I had some issues with the slug traps. But I hope it works well for you. The guide shouldn't be hard to find. 😄
