I KNEW IT!!!!!! The spot above your clearing where your containers and equipment live, the spot where you've been doing all the rock crushing, its perfectly cut out to build into the hill. being on top of the mountain, it has to be built INTO the mountain because of the wind exposure.
Also, in your video of the equipment expo where you saw the small mining attachment, the first thing I thought was "He is planning to build some tunnels under or around the new castle". Fantastic idea, Andrew. Can't wait to see THOSE videos.

Dress warm, good boots, good gloves, helmet and a scarf, I liked to have a good pair of goggles, kinda like dressing for snow skiing. It’s a blast on good trails with good snow, we don’t seem to get that in northern Ohio lately, if you get a chance, go for it. It’s a lot of fun even if only for a day.
And it is a lot like jet skiing only it’s warm out.

There is a dredge in Fairplay, Colorado like this one. the Fairplay dredge boat, which mined the Fairplay placer along the South Platte River. The Mosquito Mountains are in the background. This dredge boat was built by the Yuba Manufacturing Company and shipped to Fairplay, Colorado in sections. The South Platte Dredging Company used it to mine the Fairplay placer along the South Platte River starting in 1941. The Fairplay dredge was electrically operated and was the largest dredge in Colorado. The dredge had over 100 buckets that fed gravel from the river bottom into the dredge's interior where it was milled. The stacker then deposited the tailings along the river channel. The dredge mined up to 15,000 cubic yards of placer gravels per day and could reach to a depth of 105 feet. Dredge operations were suspended in 1942 and resumed in 1945, and finally shut down permanently in 1952.

This is by-far the best video you have produced to-date! The production values and drone-footage are impressive (as always) but the SUBJECT is what brings the GREATNESS! And, the best part, you are helping document an important historical site/relic ... this old dredge ought to be put on the National Register of Historic Places because it's an important part of the engineering history of the US. AND, thanks, too, for appealing to my EXPLORER instincts ... which have always burned strongly throughout my long life ... and, I'm very pleased to see we have THAT in common ... and, the quest for knowing the unknown lives on in another generation of young explorers, like you. I've watched EVERY one of your vidis, so when I say this is the best, you can take it to the bank. Best regards, always, Bob Skiles (retired Texas archaeologist & historian)

No not that good. That type of gold must be processed through a hydrogen acid process.

Livin great. Camaraderie seemed great too. Love the chalet/bunker rendering at the end...can't believe you are sharing it. As soon as you squared off that mountain top, I wondered if something was in the works. But I didn't think it would be public. Amazing!
