Listen this. I am from Turkey. I remember one time my dad when he was nailing with hammer 🔨 on roof one nail he couldn't make it to the wall properly and dropped the hammer suddenly. And what he did? He didn't go down to get hammer back. He tried to slap nail with his palm. And as a kid I was looking like "omg how am I gonna deal with this insane guy with all my entire life" so long story short we are not still have good relation 😆 I can make a the most awkward construction stories list.

When I was 16 I wanted to do something and my dad told me no. I told him it really hurts my feelings that he won’t take into consideration of the situation and he looked at me and said “Son, your feelings do not matter. They’ll never matter. Man up.” That shit taught me so much! Tough love is good. He also always made sure I knew he was proud of me. Never ever had to worry about out that. He also would make it known if he was disappointed. Always told me he loves me. I’ll be lucky to even be half the man he is.
