Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire could never and never play overage, here any person born on these islands is registered for a maximum of three days. Just like in any country there are children with extra large stature. There were players of 6'9 6'7 6'4 and their age was not changed. Good baseball is played here.
It was. I have mixed feelings about the use of replays and overruling the umpire based on a video, but it seems like the right thing to do in important games like this - if the California team had been able to come back from 3 runs down (at the time) with help from a missed call, it would have been a travesty for those kids from Curacao.
I have to be honest, I think there are both international and American teams that are cheating. They are either getting older kids or players from outside their district.
Bro are you really mad because a group of kids outside the US won a baseball tournament against the US 20 years ago??😂 get a life man and be happy for the kids
Well, we know their best player, Jurickson Profar, was 11 because he's a major-league player so we can be pretty damn confident on his birth date. Similarly they had Jonathan Schoop, another major-leaguer who we know was 12 at the time of the tournament. So maybe they won because they had TWO future major-league players on the team, out of a grand total of six in the tournament (including one two American players, neither of whom played for California)?
Curaçao’s pitcher: I am 12
how about the last kid on the bench having the best at bat of the day!
"I am 12"
Its hard not to be very proud of this kids belonging to an small, tiny island of 150.000 inhabitants. SO PROUD
Bunch of losers
“ I wAnT a AnSwEr “
The bats were so hot back then
It was a great game, and it looks like they had fun. The California team displayed poor sportsmanship, which took away from the game.
California coach is painfully wrong. Great stretch by the 1st baseman.
Two outs should have been the same way but umpire called him safe

The 2nd play at 1b was also an out

Actually the call was safe
@@mbarrett99 lol
Two of those kids are taller than their coaches … and this is for 11-12 year olds ?
Their kids are probably 11-12 😂😂
Curacao pitcher is now old enough to collect social security
Omg minnie Jonathan Schoop 😭 Go Tigers!
Most of these kids have to be at least 14yo
That’s the only time they won it
yup, they almost won back to back years but lost in extra innings to hawaii
These kids have full beards… lol LLWS is a scam
Or some kids just grow more than others and mature earlier maybe?
unfortunately, this is just like the current llws(2022), curacao has over aged kids everywhere.

None of the kids from this years team look suspiciously old.

Plus every one of those American batters TOWER over that last pitcher. So you seem to be talking some shit.
If only there was instant replay on the first out.
he was out
He was out what are you talking about!
He still wouldnt have been out
Out
Still out
