Scares is the wrong word… I have no interest in them. Being forced into a world where I’m compelled to drive an EV? That just pisses me off.
As far as bragging rights have you been around an EV owner? They never shut the F up about it. Seems you get more bragging rights not less.

"bragging rights" eh and all the Gen III Hemi folks cant stop harping how Dodge/Stellantis has killed off their precious thing and ruined their "Muscle car". The Hurricane I-6 is going to make more power than the 392 ever did, AWD in the EV is going to make that 1000hp be able to be used, so no more, "Well, my Hellcat would hook if I was on a prepped track" reasoning to stop from getting beat on the street from a dig. Plus, the setup is over 30 years old. The 5.7 was introduced in 2003/2004 Ram 1500s then was thrown in the Challenger in 2008 based on an 1990s E class platform from Mercedes via the Daimler Merger in 2001/02. I'll take a 413 Max wedge over that joke of a lifter ticking GenIII Hemi Heck, I'll junkyard dive for a 440 or get a 410 stroker to replace my SOHC 4.7 in my Dakota before I ever Hemi swap it.
No offense, but I had a Jeep 392 decide to play "keep up" after I got into it a little but from a dig. So a 20-70 Roll. Maybe had a half car on me, and I'm in a 20 year old 4500lb Quadcab Dakota 4.7 with maybe 280hp with minor off the shelf mods... That 470hp in the Jeep 392, on paper, should have walked me. Regardless if I had 600lbs on him

You were in my neck of woods. I wish I would've known, I would've met you there. They hide them on the lot. The big boys are inside.
I was born early 70's and my pops always had muscle cars. There is nothing like the raw power and sound. I would do hybrid vehicles before full electric. I don't want the hassle of waiting for my vehicle to charge.

A gas station stop is 10 minutes max. There is always an open pump. I would never wait in line to charge a battery for 3 hours. Why?

Because like with everything the cost of it has gone way up. Or if you look at it a different way, the Government has stopped trying to "ban guns" theyve just made the ammo ungodly expensive, amounting to the "same thing". They've basically done the same with fuel, food etc. Tried of spending $120/week for fuel heres an EV thats $90,000 and is $500/mo if you can afford to finance it correctly.

IDK, I refuse to write them off before they actually hit the street, the Zs & younger millenials are digital generation, alot ppl grew up pushing buttons to receive what they want, DLC etc. its gonna be interesting to see how these pay walls play out, having multiple buttons for instant tune upgrades & power will likely appeal to sum, its almost as silly as when dodge came out with the Red Key & Black Key on the hellcats. I know most of the owners likely used the red key for themselves, and the black key for newbs or amateurs on top of Valet modes.

HM there's a little bit of truth in that statement about ICE Cars having "bragging" rights but in my opinion I just love hearing the growl of a beefy(Pause) V8 engine regardless of Brand; if it's Supercharged even more so! Now as far as the Cadillac Lyriq is concerned I agree so far it's the Best looking EV available my wife has me going from dealership to dealership looking for the "perfect" one wish me luck!😂

As an R/T owner, I never had bragging rights. But if I had to guess what it is about electrics that might evoke fear, I would say 1)Loss of choice - We have no problem with the existence of electrics, just not being able to choose what we want to drive. 2)Range anxiety - Getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with no charging source nearby 3) Fires caused by faulty electric battery or accident impact on electric battery. 4) Getting vehicle "hacked" by someone to stop it or control it remotely 5) Cost - Being locked into overpriced dealer service because there are no competent electric vehicle mechanics around. Also, the computerized components facilitate planned obsolescence by manufacturers to get you back in the market for a new vehicle.

People who are saying those things are 1. have never driven or experienced an American V8 (Mustang, Charger/Challenger or Camaro) and 2. are not really car people. When Most electric car owners themselves are saying that their car is a one trick pony which gets boring real quick, because there is nothing by silences and boredom, you better listen to them, because they are 100% Right! Why do you think Dodge is trying to install fake noises to their electric car, because they KNOW, even a 2000HP electric car will NEVER be as fun as a straight piped, 6 speed manual 5.7 R/T. I won't even mention 6.4 or supercharged 6.2

I would never want an totally electric luxury car/suv an unless it recharged itself, so I didn't have deal with the hassle of that with all those luxury features zapping my distance & power as roll😂.
Dodge's e-muscle on the other hand I'm willing to deal w/the theatrics & sfx for entertainment value of it alone 😂 its literally an Electronic Entertainment Center on wheels! most of that money went into the simulator aspects of it the exhaust, the shifts, and the vibrations, is this charactiure of the Dodge Brotherhood? I'd say yes if the extreme performance is moot point, for the most of us. I love my scat, but you pretty much defeated the horsepower wars between Ford, Chevy, and Dodge of last 8 or so years Dodge won that but that tells me it's was never about there cars out performing the other manufacturers it's was only about the show, The Street takeovers, the Obxniousness, and lawlessness will end Dodge. Sorry for the rant, but terrozing the streets w/loud exhuasts and extremely aggressive driving is all we are known for its death nail for Dodge. "Takeover Culture "

Honestly, it makes no difference to me whatsoever. I bought my Redeye Hellcat to impress me and only me. Yes, the electric muscle car is an impressive car and I would love to test drive one. And yes, I know it can probably run circles around my Hellcat. But it's not always about speed. Nothing can replace the sound of a V8. Especially with a supercharger. That's why I will NEVER get rid of mine. In fact, ONE DAY I'll pass it down to my son. Bottom line, I simply have no interest in an electric muscle car. Besides, from my understanding, the cons outweigh the pros. Actually I hope electric muscle cars do become more popular. Maybe then thieves will leave our cars alone. Or at the very least, detour them a little.

Electric cars in my opinion are just not that practical or convenient yet and they will never be as cool as a car with a V8. I dont have time to wait at a charging station to have my car get some power when i can go fill up in minutes at a gas station and be gone…I feel sorry for little kids coming up they going to think all cars sound like forklifts but we know the truth….

Even if every single EV was twice as fast as my V8, id take the V8 10000 times out of 10. EVs are redlight princesses and have ZERO soul.
Not to mention 0-60 is NOT all that matters, but it is to EV drivers!
The SS 1LE still beats the tesla plaid on the Ring and thats WITH 20k in handling upgrades on the plaid. Thats just straight up SAD. Thats a 455 hp V8 vs a 120k EV with an extra 20k in upgrades.
    EVs are TRASH.
